  • Now that Microsoft has launched the Surface Book 3, I'm here to show you why it's a good idea to save money and consider a Surface Book 2 13. I'm the owner of both the 13 and 15, so I'll go through the products in detail and compare them. I hope you find the information useful!

LMAO! You almost talked me into getting a 13' fanless SB2. I've been using my SB2 15' (16gb/1tb) for everything, and the cases I use with it do leave marks! I even have a scar around the on/off switch from the zipper's of my cases. I've had mine for over 2 and a half years, so it is not in bad condition and still works like new. Microsoft should hire you as their pitchman!

I literally bought a surface book 2 15 renewed by Amazon last night... I really wanted a 1gb drive so it cost 2k.. gtx 1060 saved me 1.5k over the surface book 3 with similar specs.

Hi, how much did you pay for this core quadcore i5 SB2?
I have found a Surface Book 2 for around 500 euros(550 dollars) but it is the dual core i5 7300u mode, with 8gb and 256 SSD.
Do you think at that price it is still worth it in mid 2021?
I wont use it for intensive tasks

he just made a mistake, his model is just a dual core like yours

@@_Digitalguy Hi, no I did not :-).I ended up getting the 13.5 " SB2 core I7 quadcore 8Gb 256SSD, Nvidia GPU 1050 1 year ago for 600 and the new pen.
But I will probably give it to a friend since I don't use it enough

@@JoeGillian0 I recently saw a dual core i5 (i5 SB2 was dual core only, that's why I said he was wrong in the video) for CHF400 and while I love the Surface Book 15 (I have both the 2 and the 3) I did not get it since I don't think it's worth to buy a dual core (which btw cannot be updated to Win11) at this point when everything is quad core. The only dual core that I use are a couple of 12in retina Macbooks. Also I noticed that because of the fanless design it gets quite a bit hotter than my 15in which does not make the tablet portion really usable and will degrade the battery over time...

@@Carolinabcc yes it will, I just bought one. It is superfast and can easily hold up with photoshop, gta v, bf1, cod, tomb raider and other triple A titles. The battery is a beast and the build quality is just heaven.

@@JoeGillian0 my last laptop was a surface pro with i5. The i5 is more than enough for nowadays programs. if you are not a heavy user that uses a lot of processing power like photoshop etc. the i5 will blow your mind too. it is only worth buying the i7 if you are going to use it to the max. (I rarely do) the best of this laptop is the pen and the keyboard. also it is quite handy you can take it wherever you like. My girlfriend has a macbook pro and she likes my laptop better. It is just like a superfast desktop but just in a laptop. the build quality is awesome and it is really pretty.
      i really reccomend it!
