My biggest irritation is thin fonts on high res display
I'm thinking about getting a surface book 3, but I need a lot of storage size and it gets very expensive. I wanted to get the 15-in model, but I would have to sacrifice for the 13.5 so that I can get a decent Surface Book that I can afford.
However, I thought about it. What about the 15-inch Surface Book 2? are the specs on the 15-in Surface Book 2 better than the specs on the 13.5-in surface book 3?
Does anyone know how comparable the *Surface Book 2 15-in* is with the *Surface book 3 13.5 in?*
@@AndrewKennethColborn Thank you. No one is doing comparisons on the SB2-15 vs. SB3- *13.5.*
I decided for myself that SB2-15" is better. I could afford larger screen, larger internal storage, better speaker quality.
However, the cons were slower "tablet eject" (insignificant "con"), and the *15gb* instead of 32gb of RAM, BUT even with less RAM, because I was able to afford the 1 Terabyte storage size instead of 512 gb on the SB3-13.5", I can convert some of the TB to RAM.
In theory, the SB2-15 seems better than the SB3-13.5 because the better speakers and the faster graphics card and larger screen with insignificant drawbacks and an ability to increase the ram with a higher amount of storage for a cheaper price seems to be the sensible option.
Just found the 15' Inch i7 for around $750. after this review and some others I will get it !

I have one and have had it for about 2 years now- I love it so much but the only thing I dislike a lot is the weight lol carrying this guy around all day hurts

Do you have any idea .... Which laptop is best for architecture?
I saw another video of a guy running Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape VR mode. It was running really well and he did that in 2019. If you aren’t wanting to spend big bucks this older model will probably work great for a few years of schooling.

I have had problems with the keyboard and I think it is a design fault. Microsoft won’t fix it and has to change the whole machine
My battery drains even when this laptop is shut down. About 3 to 5% a night. Does the same happen with yours?

Really nice video! Thanks a lot. How is the battery life of the tablet part when disconnected? I'm a musician and I want to get this device especially for sheet music, which means I do need some battery life for 3-4h without the base.
in most reviews i saw it's about 2-3 hours on the tablet, 6 or more on the keyboard

I have been searching for a student review and youtube wouldn't pop one up without deep searching. Good review overall though. I'm looking at a Yoga 6 Ryzen 4650U vs the Surface Book 2 and still torn between the two. Any idea which one I should get?
I'm and engineering student and the surface book 2 15" maxed out is pretty great. I can design rough drafts with the pen feature and well CAD is working smoothly and I never notice any lag. However if you are trying to game on this that is where u will encounter some issues if you want crazy graphics. I get around 55-63 fps on COD warzone on MED 1080p graphics so its not unplayable but for gaming its not the best for the price. however it is very portable and has a small form factor for the power it packs and aesthetics are great.
i live in Australia and i have the chance to buy this laptop for 500 dollars witch rounds about to 300 dollars in the us. i need to know if this is worth it I am going to use it for school and music production with is pretty heavy on the processer. i would really love you opinion on this laptop and if it is worth it in 2021

Hi!! Loved the video. Great job 💖 I wanted to ask your opinion on something. I'm a college student with a speech class this semester I'll need a computer for & in the near future I want to be a counselor / therapist and meet over zoom for convenience. I was looking into the surface book 2 i7 16 gb ram 512 gb. Do you think this would be a smart purchase for a student who wants a laptop that can handle that, class work & last?
The Surface Book 2 with those specs is more than capable of handling the tasks that you described!

Not sure if you’ve gotten this already, but you’re much better off getting the Asus x13 Flow. The screen doesn’t detach, but it’s a 13” convertible with a 144 Hz screen and a GTX 3050 Ti, and it’s being sold for $1350 at Best Buy right now

@@bleeeeee2866 Yeah the Surface Book 2 is very similar to the Surface Laptop, but the Laptop is more of a complete package with great computing power, and the touchscreen works a little better. The detaching screen on the Surface Book 2 can run into some problems which I think you may not like!

Hi Rich. is the external drive disconnecting thing like a hardware issue? did it ever stop say after some updates?
Yeah it’s definitely a hardware issue. I believe it’s mainly the problem of the tablet attaching to the keyboard thus the external hard drive has to go through another connection. Lately it has been giving me some more problems.
