Oh sorry i ranted saying cooling is actually insane and performance on par with highest end laptops.. but i forgot they also upped wattage of laptop from your year i believe used to be 115-125 W.. now the GPU in my new r7 m15 is 145-170 W.. that helps with 3 huge holes for cooling, and 240W power brick. Means it cant really not perform the 24 cores thread i7 12700h or even RTX gpu. This thing seems like BEAST for slightly cheaper m series or x series slighly more expensive. But both seem old age alienware power, merged with new age design. Wow Wow.

M15 r7 performs INSANE with the components it has.. you make it seem like ohh cooling is so bad and wattage is so bad it wont get the power out of the core i7 12700h.. new benchmarks show it performs like High END laptop cooling designs.. sure the x15 but for todays tech THREE OR MORE big outlets for those fans you are sir an idiot. Why does ps5 overheat not just software and fans not enougg airflow. Airflow in this laptop is INSAne 3 huge outputs for airflow is why with the new fan blades for r7 m15 it now performs like x15 or razorblade probnaly ssme as razorblade specced out same if not BETTER than razor blade. I already saw similar spec laptops more expensive than this m15 r7 i have, perform less or same spec for spec as this beast. Why? You didnt mention it has INSANE cooling airflow design. Honestly best cooling out of all laptops. You are somewhat an idiot. Somewhat. Before playing one game or benchmark and not realizing r7 has even better fan design.but both have INSANE alienware cooling airflow design. It has bottom honeycomb, back of laptop holes big, and above keyboard front of laptop huge holes,, that airflow is unbeaten from what i seen so far.. and honestly users with the newer fan blades R7 and still best hole cooling design, users are getting some of best benchmarks for the specs, some out the box, no throttle down, because it has insane cooling. And even the Temps were checked with R7 maxed out, new fans same 3x huge hole design, with the new tech no need for throttle down. Go look it up, alienware R7 m15 posting some best temps, with no throttle. So no extra throttle needed for gaming, best temps better or same power for specs as Razer, but better sustained airflow cooling so power too. With new better and quieter but better fans, better holes, and way better screen. So sorry i saw benchmarks already they are up to par with 2-3k laptops.. if not better sustained cooling. I cant believe you tried to say alienware new R has bad cooling? With no evidence benchmarks or even trying 1 game.. ill do real temp and sustained gameplay and benchmarks before making my video with R7 m15 one of best cooling but mature designs, macbook level keyboard , razor design level, alienware best of cooling. Awesome. Tell us how youR R6 plays but turned to normal throttle?

Dog.. you went with 1080p 360hz... What new games will you run at 360 over 120-240 hz?? 120-240 hz is MAX pretty much for new gemes at Ultra or very high... So?? Why 360hz 1080p? Becase Quad Hd 240hz is 2ms not 1ms.. BRO 10 ms is bad 5ms is ehh good 2ms vs 1 ms is basically non different. AND id rather take quad Hd better looking 240hz and quad hd gets you more resolution but not toooo much so that gameplay looks more natural to your eyes.. i would much rather have more natural resolution qhd+ or 4k with ultra low 2ms , and 240hz. Than lower my resolution for 2ms - 1ms difference*. Quad hd is also beautiful and easier to detect things sharper more clear contrast for league and more space for any games at 2ms ultra low now your internet will become the lag point. So at 1-2ms its internet that matters more. But for that same ultra low response time of the 240hz and 360hz.. 240fps and 2ms is more more than good enough to not notice any differnce to 1ms but even if there is, we get sharper resolution for action rpg or mobas. With QHD+ 240hz 2ms. Sorry my opinion its better overall for gaming and viewing. My opinion. If you prefer less sharp basically same fps can generate alienware, but 1ms difference..... I mean i wont say mine is the best way better than 1080p 1ms option to make them feel bad. Its both panels really really really low ms and really really high HZ. Both 240hz 360hz 1-2ms honestly you wont notice 240-360really or 1ms.. but Quad Hd+ you will notice every time and you can change it lower for fps only games.. at 2ms and 240fps.. i mean thats insane already. And when enjoying laptop it has a quad hd 240hz 2ms panel. Those are rarer. 1080p 1 or 2ms panels are more common than insane low ms +ultra high hZ @quad hd. Not usual. Again im not gonna say your panel is lower like you were saying a 2ms 240hz panel was somehow obviously lower? Nah not my opinion. Just numbers at that point.. but the resolution upgrade is real for certain e sports clearer use. Or just general all laptop better use. I love retina displays in macbook. This is basically, with the QuadHD, a Retina 240hz ultra low 2ms panel. Ill take that any day. If you prefer lower for 1ms lower. Thats on you i wont call that option worse just to make mine feel better. Both have cons pros i just said its too similar for 99.9999999% use. Just resolution diff.

Im so happy literally most of your nitpicking on the alienware , was fixed with the next version or two. I got the latest version, fixed heatsink and bracket and new ddr5 ram and speed.. AND new thinner ultra razor thin blades for the fans. And the design is comparable to xsx now with the new razor thin quiet fans.. with that many holes for air to flow.. only xsx reslly has that much effort in cooling. Especially a laptop QuadHd almost Qled colors, 240hz. O.o so excited for the newest updated R7 M15 . Im so excited partly because i got a 1 year used certified pre own. For 799$ with intel max cpu , rtx 3070 and all new updates i cant WAIT to see it. I also ordered the thin mac style keyboard sorry i mean mac style Power thin brick. I cant wait for this. Back to Pc/xbox gaming : D ohh i can play the new ps5 games too on pc/steam.. whatever lmao i love on sub on xbox for all platforms. Peace and love. These alienwares are becoming the new Xbox of PCs laptop.

Didn't have so many issues either, but I checked the video because I wanted to know more about surface dock 2 issues, not because I wanted to hear minutes of complaints about the old one. So more focus on topic would be good. Also I don't see a real use of listening to someone commenting an official presentation video.

The Surface Dock 2 is a POS device. The firmware is "uncooked", MS is in denial. Not all the ports function on the Dock 2 I bought. Video streaming/audio sync remains an issue. I regret buying into the Surface architecture.

If you still have both, can you check if the ear pads are interchangeable between the first and second generation of surface headphones?

Yikes, at first I was contemplating on buying the m15 R6, but after watching your video I've decided against it.

slippery foot pads are your surface, mine feels like its glued down as the surface is piano black finish. also they must have fixed the AWCC because mine is super responsive. Not user friendly but not that complicated either. Power cable issue is a legit concern as plug pops out easily. Mine came with low density ram and the bracket and heatsink for the second SSD. Thank you for taking the time to review this model. This laptop is amazing. Sweet spot build seems to be 3070, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 1440 QHD panel w/ MX Cherry keyboard

went through 3 surface dock 2 devices. it's a POS. Surface dock 1 worked better for me

Hello, I have an alienware area 51m r2 and the fan always makes noise, even if I choose the silent profile in the command center it continues to make noise. HELP!!!

Greetings! I own this Beast but I updated my Windows 10 to latest version (21H). Now the Alienware Command centre freeze up as I open it up i.e keeps loading up. Anybody know how to fix? Or at least anybody that has working ACC? Please mention the version so that I manually download it?. Please?

I have had the original surface dock, connected and working perfectly constantly for 5 years…updated the firmware just once. It is and was a perfect product. I'm sure the new dock is similarly good.

Did you find a fix for the RAM? I have one on the way with 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 3200MHz. Is that the high density?

Hey Tsunami, great review!! How would you describe the thermal performance during games? I'm considering getting this maxed out with the RTX 3080, 2TB, 32GB ram etc. which is over $3000, but I want to make sure its worth it as I've heard that extended periods of heat can reduce the lifespan of any machine. It's not worth it if gaming (which is what it's for) is what destroys it slowly lol.

Lots of opinion in this review, but light on actual evidence. There are many reviews out there that show that thermal throttle is not an issue on this machine, you suggest otherwise. Opinions are like a*holes, everyone’s got one.

I don't play twitchy multiplayer crap, so the 165Hz screen with 3060 and i7-11800H is good enough for me. Ordered one today, arriving in just over 1 month from now. Super excited! Also, all I heard was you whining and complaining about it. Sounds like you think this laptop is trash lmao

360 hertz is totally useless in a laptop.lol. The laptop simply doesn't have the power to push framrates anywhere near that screens refresh rate. 165hz is plenty.
