Great info. I had this same problem with my 97 Corolla. I used an aftermarket gasket off Amazon and the oil returned after a year. Definitely OEM parts are the way to go. Thanks Peter.
I used an aftermarket gasket about a year ago and just found oil in one spark plug tube this evening. I’ll go to the dealership tomorrow to get a oem part. Thanks Peter!
I have a 2000 corolla 1:4 engine one of my spark plugs has oil around the nut area could it be the seal or the actual piston rings as I heared this year engine from 2000 to 2003 had engine crack issue

I had the same problem, I also bought an aftermarket gasket on ebay, and it lasted only 1.5 year.

May i comment. There is too much rtv on the seal. Should only be dry and fit that rubber well. Why people fond of putting that silicon paste on seals?
