It would blow warm when at a stop. When I released some pressure it was in the green, but the ac no longer blows cold at all even when moving forward. I tried to change the AC fan but it didn't do anything. I'm thinking I might have to get a new compressor. But any info would be appreciated Peter. I am so glad I saw your videos. Thank you so much for making all of them. I saw you first when you were working outside in the dirt and would use a tire for your jack stand. You are VERY LEGIT. Mr toyota man!
Great video and very informative, I’ve just done this repair but I was wondering if it’s possible that I’ve installed the distributor with the timing 180 degrees out of time, would it still start. Or will it not start and I just uninstall and rotate it around ? Thanks heaps from NZ

I'm having a really hard time finding where to buy a new distributor. Oil is leaking from it. Do I only need to change the gasket? Do you know where to buy for a 2000 Camry?
Whats the other possible issue if the oil in distributor keep leaking like every 2 months after replacement, is it due to engine oil? 10w40 should I change to 20w50?
Not servicing seals within the distributor? Those are the main source of oil leaks At the distributor. Oil leaking from inside the cap all over the thermostat housing, the coolant sensors, and all over the transmission.. my 91 Corolla 4afe has this issue, im going to order the seal kit, much cheaper than a new distributor..most people just get a new distributor. Other than the leak there is nothing wrong with it.. I rather pay the 13.99 for the oil seal kit.
If it leaks when the engine is cold and off, where could it be leaking? It leaked 2 quarts I added in the morning when the engine was off and not running. It leaks onto the flex pipe. 94 camry 4 cylinder.

Peter, Once I mark the engine cover and the distributor rotor position correctly there isn't a need to redo ignition timing?

Easy remedy take a roll of PVC tape and wrap about five turns around the base of the distrbuter where it faces the hole in block.

maybe it can be done easier when you change the valve cover gasket too. so you will be able to see the slot for the pisitioning of the distributor.

I had this same problem with mine. I only just change the seal today the o ring that is. I also ass a lil oil around the new one I put it.
