Yes, it is a type of metal with a good electrical conductivity. If the cooling system cannot keep up with the constant detonation of fuel by keeping it with normal working temperatures (usually between 185F and 220F) then your iridium spark plugs may degrade faster. Cooling flush + Spark Plugs replacement + A bottle of SeaFoam Fuel Additive every oil change would maintain your vehicle very well.

It’s about the same cost to replace the parts these days! It can only be three or four things. Changing out all the parts yourself is cheaper than paying a mechanic to change one and paying for him or her to diagnose it as well! You’re looking at $600 to $1,000 or more if 1 or 2 parts & labor, Diagnostics & shop cost! The diagnostics, labor and shop cost is more than 4 or 5 parts!!
I have an older car. I have thrown 3 or 4 parts at the car just chasing down a misfire. Still a misfire, but because of it I have replaced parts that sorely needed to, like spark plugs and ignition coils. I'm not done yet, next is the ERG (EGR?) valve and maybe a throttle body clean. If not for the misfire I wouldn't have done any of these things.
How is it helpful to tell me about how spark plugs work in a video with the title "misfire after replacing spark plugs and coils". If they were replaced, that's not a problem anymore, correct?
No.....bad info. It is rarely the fuel issue when consistly misfiring. If a new plug or plug wire does not reduce or remove the issue the next likely step is to..... Compression check. I agree, I definitely figured it was the fuel injector system. My daughter has my hammy down equinox 2012 and it just started to run crappy. It would shake periodically like having a seizure, sometimes hard to start, and very bad on gas mileage. I told these issues to my ex-husband prior to giving it to my daughter especially the fact that I was getting maybe 10 miles a gallon. He kept ignoring my complaints and just saying that oh it gets better gas mileage than my work truck haha. Are you serious?!! Anyhow, I gave it to my daughter and now she's stuck with all these issues... So I'm hoping that it is just a matter of changing the spark plugs and I am a true believer. When changing spark plugs always change the coils!! Why do a job 50% when you can do it 100%?. My ex-husband said to me yesterday. It's not the spark plugs because they don't need to be changed unless the vehicles 150,000 mi?? Really every video I watch or link I click on keeps bringing me back to changing the spark plugs and the coils.... So I had her oil change today and asked the mechanic if he could put it on the computer due to the check engine light staying on - and he came back letting me know that there were several misfires and he insisted that we change the spark plugs and coils. Haha I wish I knew that he was going to say that to me because I would have had my phone on voice record. Then play it back to my ex-husband. Oh I meant to mention he is a master mechanic for Chevy for the first part of his life meaning he retired there as a master mechanic So he worked for Chevy starting in the late '70s and retired there early 2000s as a master mechanic. So as he finished laughing at my face when I said it could be just bad spark plugs, it very well could genuinely be that issue. For the sake of cost I hope it is as little/big as bad coils/spark plugs. 🙏🙏
this video is useless. my car only misfires when im about to speed up to pass someone. i have to back off and wait for it to settle down and then its fine. i can pass them. other times it works flawlessly. so coils and plugs are not the problem. they also been replaced correctly with good brands. OEM ones do the same thing. if i didn't pass slow people it would never misfire. the air filter is also new. the engine has been replaced twice so its not that either unless the thing is just lemon trash. replacing the engine and still getting the problem means its not the fuel injectors because those come with a new engine. the only thing i haven't replaced that has anything to do with engine control is the ECU/PCM and that very rarely causes the issue, and its expensive to replace for ""try and see"
Very unhelpful video. Your title is misleading. We are watching because we changed the coil and spark plug and still have the issue but you just repeated the same thing over and over.

But before writing a comment, you actually went through all the comments and read them all. then when you see one person write something harsh you decide to join the group and write your own harsh message.... 😂😂😂😂
Maybe it's my age but back in the day when we all had to work on our cars ourselves, the big huge common repair we all had was indeed a bad spark plug , is the correct verbage here faulty coil wire and or spark plug.. However, I'll get to my point. Just saying that a car running poorly including misfiring, poor gas mileage, shaking, has everything to do with spark plugs and coil wires, especially the year of the vehicle at the time. Most of us those days could only afford a car that was 10- 15 years older than we were. But hey we owned that car which means we didn't have to take out a loan or borrow money from our parents. We pay cash for that clunker... Bahaha

Thanks for all the info but it did not help.
Everybody knows that once you install a spark plug you can't return it, da?
this video is useless.
my car only misfires when im about to speed up to pass someone. i have to back off and wait for it to settle down and then its fine. i can pass them.
other times it works flawlessly. so coils and plugs are not the problem. they also been replaced correctly with good brands. OEM ones do the same thing.
if i didn't pass slow people it would never misfire. the air filter is also new.
the engine has been replaced twice so its not that either unless the thing is just lemon trash. replacing the engine and still getting the problem means its not the fuel injectors because those come with a new engine.
the only thing i haven't replaced that has anything to do with engine control is the ECU/PCM and that very rarely causes the issue, and its expensive to replace for ""try and see"
Don't try to post videos with fake knowledge and try to be a mechanic when you know you're not.
Very unhelpful video. Your title is misleading. We are watching because we changed the coil and spark plug and still have the issue but you just repeated the same thing over and over.
Who buys the wrong type spark plugs?
What a BS.
You go from spark plugs two glow plugs are you serious
CUANDO TU LE HACES UNA REPARACION A TU CARRO ESPERAS QUE ALGUIEN TE DE UNA BUENA ORIENTACION Y SI LO HACES TU ES POR AHORRARTE DINERO DE UN MECANICO QUE PUEDE SER UN RATERO COMO HAY MUCHOS, NO DIGO QUE TODOS PERO LA MAYORIA ABUSA, ES TERRIBLE QUE TE DEN UN CONSEJIO Y TE DIGAN QUE LO MEJOR ES QUE LO HAGA UN MECANICO ESO ES ESTUPIDO
Useless video. He blames it all on spark plugs, save yourself the time and watch another video. No real info here its just Clickbait.
Wow people can be harsh!! First of all, no one made you watch the video. You must have found it somewhat useful. If you watch the entire video then write a comment on the video.
Bahaha
Yeah I'm gonna report this one. These people need to stop misleading others and taking unnecessary minutes off of millions of lives. When you think about it...each misleading title takes away a possible multiple lifetimes off of the cumulative of all humanity lifeclocks. Kinda scummy
He talked about spark plugs the whole time smh
AI generated content at its worst. 1.5k likes? I need start a TH-cam channel.
So you basically told us next to nothing about the title of the video except you might have put the wrong spark plug in your car. Smh
Just a tutorial on spark plugs. Not very useful.
God is coming back soon pls all repent of your sins
Thanks
Lmaooo! See this is why you need to have knowledge on your own. He didn’t say shyt about the proper gap width of the spark plugs as well. This was a complete waste of time
Fuil injecter.
Nissan tida
😂😂😂😂😂 wow dude really?? You say a bad spark plug will not allow you to start your vehicle and then said if it's a bad spark plug then your vehicle will run poorly..... hmmm so if it doesn't start your vehicle then how is it running in the first place???? Your video is 💩
this is all about sparkplugs WTF
A video of what to do about a misfire after you change spark plugs and all you talk about is spark plugs??? Gtfoh
This really was bad
