- Here's a crazy skiff build we've wanted to do for a while! We take an old beat up inflatable RIB hull 13' length and afterv a couple minor hull repairs it's ready to hit the water! start off with a good old test run!
Equipped with a 25 hp Evinrude 2 stroke we converted to 35 hp, and 15" pitch prop, this boat has no problem going fast!
Enjoy and keep an eye out for PART 2 of the build!
Cheers

Great to see this put to use instead of going in the landfill. Can't wait for part 2!
Thank you Karl! I agree 1000%. There’s way to many great donors out there worthy of a second boat life! Cheers!
It’s amazing how much fun those little boats can be…. Keep on posting…. Thank you.
Haha, they definitely are a blast! Glad you’re liking the builds, thanks for commenting and watching!
Glad your back on YT making boats and videos!!
Thanks Josh, much appreciated! Hope to run into you soon bud!
Dude you're back!!! I've been checking in for more weird boat Frankenstein projects and was bummed when it had been a long time. Love this craziness!
Haha, thanks so much for the comment and for staying with us! I’m stoked to be back and hope you continue to dig our upcoming builds! Cheers!
Thank you for answering my question. I have a hull to looking to build it. Can't wait to see what your plans are with yours first tho lol.
Nice! Do it! And haha, you’re a smart man! Cheers
Cheers bro. I'll be waiting to see your build and once mine is done. I'll send you pics. Hopping to make mine focused on fishing.
Waiting for the Vid crossing to the Bahamas on the RIB Hull!
This answers so many questions - lol. What a cool little project
Can't wait to see what you do with this project!
Thanks so much! We hope you dig it!
@@diywaterworld I love DIY boat related anything.
Love it great job
Looks like SUP with a 25 on it!!
Brilliant 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you Nigel! Cheers!
This is great! Always wanted to know if a naked inflatable would work! My buddy lives right down the road next to the arches, gunna have to say hey if I run into you in town. Keep it up with the fun ideas!!
Thanks Chris! We did a 10 footer years ago but it was SUPER wobbly. I’ll share a bunch in the next video including finding the right donor RIB for those folks interested. And cool, it’s a small world! swing by anytime! Cheers and thank you!
"Wild-Man" Just a surfboard with a funny nose, and 25HP Hold On !!!! At least you didn't have to flush out the 25 and get her running again HAHA
Good job sir 😄👋👍👍👍
Great stuff!
Always wondered if this would work.
👍🏼 it sure does and actually is one of the most budget ways to start a build with a super structurally solid platform. Cheers!
Dual outriggers and you would be fine
it actually does quite well with nothing extra, tippy, but once it lays on a side quite stable. And fun... lots of fun!
I was thinking strap some 5 gal carboys on either side of rear end….
Reminds me of a Soloskif.
Haha, indeed! Just a little quicker 😉 cheers!
Maybe stick steer steering
I like the recommendation , Stick steering is pretty kickass! Cheers
crazy
Yes bro!!!!
1.5' forward standing position and transom scuppers and ur home.
Right on the money Howie!! 👊🏼.
@@diywaterworld Just picked up a 14.5 Boston Whaler clone because of your J12 build.
@@howiemoth3847 that’s awesome ! Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
@@diywaterworld Would like to and get input on cut down profile but no way to get pics. to you... will not let me leave my email here in comments.
Really Interested in this project, when is the next episode dropping, absolutely frothing to see the out come.
cool build and awesome ingenuity on your part, I am subscribed. Pls built stuff that is practical, for example, can you take somebody? can you fish from it without falling off? thanks
Awesomeeee..
Thanks as always Maurice! Did You start building your project skiff yet?!
@@diywaterworld I actually built a skiff called #GotSki based on your previos carolina skiff. You saw my build on instagram. I just added a solar panel and am working out some plans to lift it a bit with two floats like a cat, so it sits a bit higher in the water..#GotSki goes about 18 mph with 1 person and 15 mph with 2..
Sick!
Thanks Jeff! We couldn’t agree more!
Get a second one and make a craigcat.
"Johnny Sinns goes boating"
I love it😂
Thanks Travis! We’ve gotta get a couple more completed and there will be one for each of us…. Squad of little skiffs terrorizing Indian River 😂👊🏼
I have had a crazy idea for a while. It has to do with your ribbed section of boat. Get back to me and I’ll share. It.
What happened to this build I have one of these hulls and have been wanting to know how to build it out diywaterworld style
Where is you PFD????
That looks like it needs a seat and forward controls like on a jetski... it could be a poor man's jetski!
25 hp jet outbard dine
Good way to get run over by an outboard. PLEASE use a kill tether in the future.
You dont need to lower transom, you just need a cupped prop. What's the point of a skinny water boat that cant run skinny?
👊
Why are you flying a distress flag?
