  • Here's a crazy skiff build we've wanted to do for a while! We take an old beat up inflatable RIB hull 13' length and afterv a couple minor hull repairs it's ready to hit the water! start off with a good old test run!
Equipped with a 25 hp Evinrude 2 stroke we converted to 35 hp, and 15" pitch prop, this boat has no problem going fast!
Enjoy and keep an eye out for PART 2 of the build!
    Cheers

Thanks Chris! We did a 10 footer years ago but it was SUPER wobbly. I’ll share a bunch in the next video including finding the right donor RIB for those folks interested. And cool, it’s a small world! swing by anytime! Cheers and thank you!

@@diywaterworld I actually built a skiff called #GotSki based on your previos carolina skiff. You saw my build on instagram. I just added a solar panel and am working out some plans to lift it a bit with two floats like a cat, so it sits a bit higher in the water..#GotSki goes about 18 mph with 1 person and 15 mph with 2..

You dont need to lower transom, you just need a cupped prop. What's the point of a skinny water boat that cant run skinny?
