- Tim and I have been planing this trip ever since we thought of the the idea of fishing skiffs. Finally managed to get the time off and we hit the water to se how far the skiffs could take us. Good times with Timmy Turtle as usual and a great experience that is only the beginning!

Flattie on coals. I've got to try that. Top drone work. Really majestic. Throwing back the GT when you guys had no fish was gut wrenching after losing the flattie on the skiff. No space for net or gaff ? Awesome adventure guys. Do more.... love it..... if I went I would glamp it as I hate mozzies.. lol
Yea left the nets and gaff at home to save space😅 will do more of this soon👍

Just came back from a day out on the surf fishing with my youngest boy I caught a shovelnose guitar fish and he caught a mullet for shark bait and got home to a notification to this vid. Timing couldn't have been better great way to end the night. Love the videos and music. Keep up the good work. Best of luck from the central coast california.

If it makes you feel any better I did the same trip with a mate 2 weeks ago staying in the creek. 3 days casting at the rocks for no hits. It’s a looong drive from Palmy.

I have pole but its for in shore casting only... im trying to buy a jigging set but im realy upset price are realy expensive. Trying to save but realy to expensive. Great video Rod. That's an awesome spot. I bet you've got the same issue as I do - so many cool places to see, it's hard to decide where you want to go to next, and hard to find the time to do them all! The trip is always cool, but the fish don't always play the game.
Definitely worth more time around 1770! Those drone shots at the end combined with the music was like being in a dream!

This one is a Stealth Powerfisha, I looked at the Solo skiff but the weight it too much for car topping. Also the removal of the seat is a game changer, way better now for standing and casting and driving standing up👌

Did you not hgave like a small anchor that could have served as a stern anchor for Timmy's skiff? Those and flares mate are seriously essential kit for any water craft venturing on the sea. I have lost count of the times something has suddenly gone wrong with "perfectly running" engine and I have had to anchor and await help and either a tow or help in getting the thing going again. The last time it happened was about 2 days after I had forked out a ton of money on a service and the very first time afterwards that I took the boat out too. Turned out the cdi unit had packed in and they can go just like that with no build up signs.
Other than the location, weather, water colour and a whole host of other "nicer" things, this reminds me of my own camping / fishing trips in recent years. Better luck next time Rod :)
Tim had an anchor but it was one of those crappy folding grappling ones, did almost nothing. I have flares and a PLB plus a Mini Cooper anchor that’s works a treat. I told Tim he should invest in a decent anchor for next time👍

You guys are awesome and I love watching the videos! Question: Do you enjoy the skiff more than the Stealth Kayak? Both are pretty awesome but which do you enjoy more?
I like both as much as the other, I like fishing I general so anything that can get me on the water is good. If I was forced to just choose one hen it would be the kayak I’d say... as the skiff can get out on days the skiff can’t... but skiff can go place the kayak can’t too plus I can stand and fish... tough choices mate😅
