Mate I am over the moon. My wife asked me why I was so happy for a bloke that I have never met, but it honestly feels like one of my mates has had a big win. Well done Timmy, you're a star.
@@FishingWithTimmyTurtle Hey mate, how did you manage the rego & insurance in QLD? I'm thinking of similar build but not sure if rego / insurance of DIY boats is allowed here in NSW. If you can refer to some site that provides details would be great. Cheers.
I bet that feels good! You will get some great fish, videos and adventures in that monster. Looks sweet in the aerial shots. Can't wait to fish with you again. Also, one 100Amp our Battery will do you if you can charge from the smokey.
it runs interference running them both off the same batteries. two is a tad overkill but if I ever run out of the electric motor battery I can just switch them over and keep going. thanks Andy yer keen for another fish. might bring the skiff up for some impoundment Barra away from the crocs haha
This whole series has been great, I'm so happy you've pushed through the frustrations/time/cost of the build. I can't wait for more content, you're smashing it.
The dead zone vid was recommended to me this morning. After I watched it I subscribed and then wasted the rest of the day watching the diy skiff series. Your enthusiasm for fishing and the build is just BLOODY AWESOME. Keep it up
@Revolt Ventures Here mate have a clue. Timmy said it, so he quoted it ... then he actually went out 40 and actually caught a 170 marlin. Take ya own advice maybe. th-cam.com/video/yFtmh0ugs5w/w-d-xo.html
Watched the series in full before commenting. Great job on the build. First time jitters out of the way. Looks great! You built what you wanted don't let the snarky comments get you down.
And the Grammy for best musical score goes to Timmy. Absolutely awesome watching these videos and to see it finished was awesome. Well done on the build and the video with the footage of you cruising around. Can’t wait for the footage moving forward. Don’t forget to shout your Mum some new scissors. Keep the vids coming Timbo. They are mint.
Awesome job mate, the whole project was rad to see! It's so epic that you have plans available for others, and the detail that has gone into the project is top class. Can't wait to see the first session fishing!
You have done a exceptional job building that boat! I am so proud of you. Always wear a life jacket. I hope you have many great fishing and boating experiences.
Yep. That seals it. I am doing this with my son. I underestimated the seaworthiness of the design. This looks like tremendous fun! Congrats, Timmy. I can’t wait to see what this allows you to do content-wise. The drone footage in this vid alone was killer. Good luck, mate!
Just watched this for the third time. It's still one of my favourites of yours. From the music to some of those overhead/ drone shots, it's a hell of an achievement. Haven't seen any new uploads for a while!
Absolutely amazing bud! What a beast.... that paint job is mint too, sits well in the water. Just sick bud, really enjoyed this series. Can not wait to see the first fish landed 👌
She's a beaut fishing machine! Also, thanks for sending the Turtle Tackle cap so fast. Looks good and feels great on. Almost convinced my missus on the patron idea. I'll cook her a couple more nice dinners and we'll be sweet! Thanks Timmy!
Hahaha cheers mate. Maybe just save your pennies and get a shirt next then you get something for your money and still helps me out haha. But thanks for supporting with the hat. Much appreciated
Waiting for this video was like waiting for a new season of your favorite TV show.... You did not disappoint Timmy Turtle 😎 Congratulations mate, and looking forward to the newest and next leg of your fishing videos! 👏
I love your boat,I always wanted to build my own skiff; but didn't really have the know how!!! But now I do and I want to thank you and congratulate you on a wonderful build!!!
So glad I followed this video set from start to finish! I enjoyed it, and learned quite a bit. Wonderful boat and the fact that you do not need much motor to get her up on a plain is wonderful. You look over the top excited about it brother, good for your! You put the work in and you got what you wanted for about a 10th the price. Way to go! At about 14 min you showed some trailer damage in the front. Maybe something like a keel protector could prevent that. If you got a black one (and cut it to the size you needed) and ran it from left to right (on the lip of your boat), I think it would match your color scheme pretty well, and protect your pretty boat from that pesky trailer. ha ha Cant wait to watch your adventures, so I can have proof to show my wife that I need to build a custom boat for myself. ha ha
Unreal. "The more you give the more you have" ... I'm a rock Fisher but this rig is in my bucket list and will hopefully be my first craft on the water. Thanks Timmy Turtle
this is the kind of boat i like ,you have a place to walk store things and it dont take all day to get there ..watched the whole build where i live are rivers lakes creaks , small ones ,, going down river in this would destroy it . but i really like it alot... good job
It's cool! Super flat. I think having the rods under the deck is better than a rod stand. I really like how minimalist it looks. Super robotic and sleek.
I put off watching the build in stages but today was the day start to finish and your hard work gave ye an amazing boat. I'm a carpenter and if I ever have enough space to park one of these I'll be looking back on your work just amazing well done.
Looks so good mate, can’t wait to see some epic vids filmed off it. Bit of an idea for the failed seat spot could be a live catch tank or esky with a foam seat?
Just watched all the parts in one hit..ooft that was a lot of sanding! But the end result is amazing... Any flop that says anything really negative here are the type of people that struggle to butter bread. Great videos!
Ive watched most of the build all i can say is congratulations mate your fishing world has now opened up into a new dimension ,to your mate who spent a lot of time helping you well done, hope to see plenty of fish caught of this rig tight lines .
Greetings! big greetings from Russia! great boat turned out! This is the first time I've seen such a boat! this is more of a platform for fishing! Respect!
Bravo man, I’ve been under the weather for the past week or so and binge watched your entire series of build videos. Fantastic work man, very entertaining the entire time. Boat came out brilliantly! Cheers from North Carolina!
Just stumbled across your build by accident and thank god I did this is the boat that's been in my head for a while. This is what I want and all I need and you pulled it off nicely. Good job on the build man.
The sulk seat would be awesome to double up as a live bait well. Also a grab rail that lifts up when in motion and folds down when fishing would be awesome and save your legs on a long days fishing.
Nice project! i always make up a bracket on the electric motor shaft to mount the transducer, just use some 20mm x 3mm alloy flat bar, bend into shape "round" to suit the shape of the shaft, make sure you leave enough room for a "tag" that the bolt will go through and use a stainless steel bolt to tighten/clamp it onto the shaft. point the transducer forward so you can scan whats coming up in front of you, always works a treat!
Congratulations again, a self build could of looked a mess but your attention to detail and hard work has really made a professional and cool looking boat 🚤👍
massive and awesome project. she turned out to be outstanding! i run the 18hp from tohatsu on my 380 stacer. beauty alot of grunt. i just run the 9 inch but ur right the 10 inch will raise top end speed and lower your WoT revs a little. awesome mate!!!admire ur work and effort!!
Epic end to the series Timmy. So stoked for ya! that thing looks like it hammers! Cant wait to see ya sliding some big jacks onto it. Massive things coming your way!
Watched the whole series, amazing start to finish ! Can’t say enough about your ability to stick with it or how nice it turned out . Super great job, I’m sure your parents are as proud as can be. No doubt you have a lucrative future doing anything you put your mind to...
Timmy: WOW ! I stayed up all night watching your build . I have to say you are a hard working impressive young man .Got a little choked up when build was near finish . Never saw a stand up rig like those. Looks like fun . Will not bother to fuss about bare feet but please think about some kind of life vest . Have a great time , try to be a little careful . Hope you all the best. Will be watching and enjoying your vids . THX BEN V.
Well done, mate. Well done. That is a wonderful looking boat. Congratulations on getting it into the water. I am looking forward to the next chapter is your TH-cam experience. Really well done.
So pleased for you. Been great watching the build and progress, something special about a wooden build too. Can't wait for more videos and some fish on!
Hey Timmy .... you could have a st st pipe hand rail running down the middle of the boat about waist high that folds flat when you need to get into the centre lockers .. or just leave it standing up all the time with walk round in the front and rear ... gives you something fixed to hand on to.
Mate I am over the moon. My wife asked me why I was so happy for a bloke that I have never met, but it honestly feels like one of my mates has had a big win. Well done Timmy, you're a star.

Andy, Timmy just made his own d.i.y product. On day he might sell it online..

Timmy, find an esky that fits in that frame for your seat, food/drinks, ice, live bait etc and also doubles as a seat
thanks mate good idea!
No worries man, love the boat, jealous!!
I was thinking 2 jerrycans would fit well too, but I think the esky would be better
Sweet skiff, can't imagine how proud you are of a project coming together so well
