Investing in mutual funds offers a structured and diversified approach to building wealth, managed by professional fund managers. While there are costs and some limitations, the benefits of diversification, professional management, and ease of access make mutual funds a popular choice for achieving a variety of financial goals.

Exactly, I used to doubt the value of a financial advisor until my wife's company assigned her an investment adviser in 2020. Honestly, it’s been the best financial decision I’ve made. It helped tremendously; I went from barely making any profit to having a well-diversified portfolio that has grown significantly, with gains exceeding $850k.

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or whenever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

Now at the age of 42, I am thrilled to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity

A crash and bullish market provides equal high-yield potential, it's all about information and strategy application, I've seen folks make huge 7figure profit in a crashing market and pull it off much easily in a bull market Unequivocally the crash/recession is getting somebody somewhere rich.

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

    Nice explanation, Ankur Sir! 🔥
Although I'd say such low TER is a common ploy used by many new fund houses. Recall, Tata Index Fund? It was 0.05% when launched and gradually they increased it to 0.16%. The prudent way is to look for a fund house with a reasonable TER and having high AUM.
Pls remember the moment market falls funds with small AUM will see higher redemptions that will severely affect the fund allocation. Eventually resulting in a higher tracking errors.
IMHO it's safe to go with HDFC, ICICI or UTI Nifty index funds. Hope it helps.

I'm building a goal based portfolio from this year and learning a lot around personal finance and asset allocation. As part of this exercise I have decided to keep max 2 mutual funds for a single goal like retirement, daughter's education, son's education, etc. I'm inclined to create a mix of passive and active folio based on goals duration. For example, i use hybrid aggressive for my daughter's education goal which is just 8 years away. For the retirement one i now prefer passive route (index fund/index etfs) along with existing SIPs and direct stocks.
      Below are the funds.

Just wanted to know that because I feel very useless right now. Going for interviews week after weeks and getting rejected. How you guys made it this big? God knows and before God knows you knows it very well because you have done that. I think there might be few who completed their graduation with zero knowledge and now giving interviews in real estate tellecalling, insurance selling, Airtel broadband, tommorow going for airtel gallery or vi gallery. Don't know whether gonna get selected or not.

    • @ManadayMavani

I'm not that sir you're seeking the answer from. 🤐 However, here is my suggestion. If you're relatively new to equity investing and have a long-term investment goal (>10 years) then you can simply go with any Index Mutual Fund.
ETF requires a demat account and if you invest in less popular ETFs then it may create liquidity issues.
