  • In this video I show how to sample into the PO-33 and make a song from nothing! These Pocket Operators get more feature packed every time they release a new one, i've definitely been bitten by the bug for them.

      Enrique Martinez sir, can it play triplets or can it sequence only 12 notes instead of 16? That specific note you added 9:55 (button 10) gave a triplet effect on the kick. Looking fwd for your reply. Thank you so much.

      Hello Enrique question how would you delete all the samples to make a whole new song again from scratch or can you save your songs on the pocket?

  • @Jimmy2Bits
    @Jimmy2Bits 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I've seen similar videos but you seem to explain things much clearer with less amiguity. Something I'd like to have is some of those samples youve got. Maybe at the end of each video you can play the samples used in the video so that we can record them with our pocket operators so we can either learn along with you or take what you have and create something of our own. Shoot, maybe you could create a giveaway contest for something simple/small like a PO silicone case or some other sponsorship product.

    Samplers for me as a hardware die-hard have always been love/hate. It's mainly my own failing for finding manuals a chore but I've always had issues with my MPC 1000 being too complex. I still rely more on my old Yamaha SU because it's so quick. I'm about to pick this thing up much look forward to it, but to my mind the best sampler will always be a notebook and pen close by. Hear something whether in a song, movie, TH-cam, ambient sound,, whatever? Just note down the basic timestamp details and quote/noise etc with pen/paper, repeat whenever you hear something new out of the blue,, and save it all to sample proper later.
    Just 2 cents, I still suck.

    Interesting piece of kit as i'm looking for a fairly cheap sampler. Can you tell me about the output though does it need to go into a mic input in a mixer or the normal line in outputs ? ( I only have 1 mic input ) .. thanks in advance . By the way please check my channel out too ..

    I guess you may know already now but for others....you don't have to keep holding down the button of the channel you want to record to. Just keep your finger on record and release the bank once you have selected it.

    Good video, sweet beat. You kept saying “record button” instead of “write button” so beginners beware his terminology was a little confusing.
    The po33 is the most powerful micro sampler, and best 100$ you can spend if your into this type of music. I am constantly borrowing my buddies. When you get some quality samples and get into the effect/parameter automation it really takes off

    • @busyak
      @busyak 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here come the drumz! So you can copy samples from melodic to drum banks freely? Is there a stricter time limit on drum samples, or is it all limited by total sample memory only?

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      busyak I’m not 100% but pretty sure it’s a shared sample time and nothing is allocated. So you copy from melodic to drums then best to delete the melodic version
