Thank you for the shout out! 🙌🏻I was wondering where my uptick in subscribers came from! I still love my PO 33 and if I ever need to make a quick beat or have an idea, it is the first thing I reach for!
I am happy that TE seems to go back to the roots with the EP series, which seem like "Pocket Operator Premium Deluxe" devices. Not quite as pocket and not quite as cheap, but they really seem like spiritual successors, especially if they keep doing wacky stuff with it.
The K.O! was the first device I fell in love with and it’s still one of my favorite devices to play around on…very well designed and once you understand the workflow it’s actually really easy to use. And yes, “RUN, ITS GODZILLA!” is probably still one of the best PO-33 sketches!
Po33 is my first and still my only equipment that got me into electronic music too. I've now have a sound cloud account and posted my first song in April. Love it and keeps me from getting depressed out here on the streets.
I was kind of wondering about that. I like the Woovebox, but the menu diving and button combos are a bit much sometimes. I've considered picking up a PO-33 for just brainstorming ideas and coming up with quick beats to play other instruments along with. Maybe it's time.
@@ryejack On PO-33 I can make a sketch a day. I also own an OP-1 field, which is okay, but I can never finsh a track. PO-33 helped me with my song writing. I am tempted to get the LOFI XT.
The Woovebox is definitely a very different device, but I think it's just about as fast as the PO-33, and probably faster if you use the random pattern generator! I love them both so much, although the Woovebox absolutely destroys the PO-33 in terms of overall features lol. Thanks for watching :)
When I saw your video on playing any note on the PO-14 Sub and PO-16 Factory I got curious and found I can do it on my PO-33 KO also. In performance mode the pitch control will change the pitch by semitones so you can sharpen or flatten the entire keypad and after entering your note then return the pitch control to center. It works in edit mode or live. I am expecting a PO-17 tomorrow and am curious to see if the same trick works for it. I'll let you all know. I like the fact that the Factory and the Sub show the note name as you change the pitch. Wish the K.O. did that rather than showing the button number. I suppose it makes sense since it is a sampler, and samples can be any pitch. I wonder if the Factory will show names of semitones in performance mode. I like to do stuff using the blues scale and luckily the blues scale is naturally available on the Pocket Operators. That was my reason for trying to play semitones on the PO. I didn't realize the blues scale was available to me already. I own a flock of Volcas and these POs are my favorite. The ability to chain sequences into a full-length song is what the Volcas lack. These POs are nothing short of amazing! Thank you for all you do! Steven
Sold mine a couple of weeks ago after not using it for almost a year. It's just stayed unused as more advanced device like OP-Z taken it's place. Anyway cool device and I have one PO left, it's PO-16 that hasn't been used at all and I want to sell it or trade for PO-24 Office.
Hello there. I Have a problem with my PO-33 and I hope, the you can help. Today I tried to record some samples via cable and only had very strange noises as result overlaying everything. Sampling with the microphone works fine, only when I use the cable it won't work. I tried different syncmodes but it didn't help. Do you have an idea? Thanks an regards from Germany.
@@FreeBeat Yes I tried so, but there was no difference between them. Maybe there is something wrong with the jack, but I don't know what should had happen to it ...

You the man!
I'll never not shout you out when I talk about the PO-33!

I'd love for there to be an Arcade/Megaman hybrid EP device!
@@FreeBeat Yes! And some of the SEGA Sounds like the packs they made for the Korg Gadget app.

I have to agree!
Absolutely agree on all accounts! Thanks for watching :)

Yeah great little sampler - had soooo much fun over the years and some good tips in the video thanks🥰
Thanks for watching!
i learnt a lot in this video. i didn't know you could change the filter or length of the sound when it was already sequenced. thank you
Yup haha, have fun!
Very interesting video! Thank you free beat!
Thanks for watching!
The immediacy of the PO-33 is it's best feature. Shout out to the PO-35 - Speak, for the same reason.
Definitely!
Dibiase is amazing on these lil beat boxes too.
Thanks for watching!
@@FreeBeat thanks for Freeing the Beat
It's not just PO-33, it's because you're a talented MF! Thanks for inspiring us!
Hahaha I appreciate it, thanks!

was coming to say this this shit is so hard you’re nuts
Yes i still love my PO-33. You're so right on point 5.
Glad you agree, you're a monster on the PO-33!
This looks like fun! I might consider getting one
It's a lot of fun for sure!
Love your content man, respect.
Thanks so much!
Po-33 is an awesome device, I brought a Woovbox recently hoping it will be similar. Totally different, not easy to pick up and jam

Thanks so much for the comment, enjoy your PO's!!!
Seems like I missed some features on my PO 133
I have to try it out
Have fun!
I have an SP404SX but i definitely thought about getting this one too. I still might, honestly...
Thanks for watching!
Hello FreeBeat 💥 ho yes po-33 KO is fantastique
Thanks as always!
Still use mine all the time. No idea how long I've had it...
It's a great device!
I still love the PO-33 to bits, man!
Same!
Could you get this smaller and fit it in a watch?
Haha that'd be a cool watch!

What do other people like to pair their PO-33 with? My favorites are my PO-16 Factory and my Liven XFM
The XFM/PO-33 combo is super solid for sure!
My favorite!

Do you think the PO33 is worth picking up if you have a Woovebox? I realize they're different in a lot of ways, but there is also a lot of overlap.
nope!
They are VERY different devices! It all depends on what you want to do :)
Love it
Thanks!
I dropped mine a month ago now when ever I use it I have to use a bar clamp on the batteries 😆
if youre very gentle you can carefully bend it back
@@kekmaestro3627 I will try that thanks!
Definitely try to bend it back (gently)
POK 33 + AKAI MPC LIVE 2
Thanks for watching!
Long live the PO33 ✨
Agreed!
Your pops from the mic are really annoying if you listen on good speakers you should totally do something about it
Yeah this was my first time filming at my new setup, I definitely got the angle of the microphone wrong lol should be better next time :)
