Good info. I just changed the oil in my Badboy Bandit which is the same as what you have before I watched this. One thing I did different and worked very well was when I removed the oil filter I used about 12 inches of extensions on the filter wrench. That enabled me to get the ratchet above the fuel tank giving me much more swing on each stroke. Even though you said you used the kawasaki oil people need to know it needs to be wet clutch oil. Enjoy your videos.
Ha! It’s not too bad. If I can do it anyone can. Just figured I’d take the cameras along to keep me honest and not say too many words I would regret. Lol. We need to hang soon!
I like the oil filter wrench kit only have 3. I came on board because of the utv video looking to get one still haven't pulled the trigger yet. My wife said I could get one but it needs a back seat. She likes fun stuff. Great video.
@@JoeTheFarmer yea I got the OK now the tight wad in me is the problem. My play 💰 isn't what it used to be and isn't working as hard. I want to get what I (we) will like the first time. I've done that before.
I can say that even though it isn’t on videos much (Holly commandeered it) our Kawasaki Mule 4010 is a great machine. And, they are pretty reasonable price wise. That’s the machine we use when we have more than two people on board. The Coleman is a brute; but I don’t pretend to think it is the only show in town. Kawasaki makes a great product (our atv is almost 20 years old!). Honda does too, but boy are they pricey. You will make the right call. And you will be glad you did!
@@JoeTheFarmer I'm looking at tracker 800sx crew mixed reviews. It's a artic cat knock off built in Georgia or MI sold at bass pro(like that place). The pontoon we have is a sun tracker 22 2020 it's been great. There is a tracker dealer in Winchester I like to buy local. Everything seems to have good and bad reviews I try to read though them. Thank you for your input.
Maintenance is key to long life...funny how 100hrs and/one year creep on on you. Seems something always needs something! Got the same Dewalt grease gun....had it for 6 months and haven't used it yet....keep falling back to the manual one. Pray for rain.
I actually liked this video! I definitely will be getting that filter wrench set and most likely the power grease gun! As always thanks for sharing!!! Rick From Virginia
@@JoeTheFarmer Yes that was a compliment! Buying a side by side next week and never thought about needing the right tools! So thanks! Rick From Virginia
Just got the oil to do the diffs on the Yamaha today. Dang thing uses crush washers on everything. I Diy everything almost on atv utv stuff. Here’s praying for some rain although we don’t need it all November
Noce work brother. You and I are kindred spirits. Don’t like handing over money for an easy job. A hard job; that’s a different story. Lol. Praying for rain too bro. Plots are toast.
No; it didn't. It now lives on a friends property but is still running like a top. Try putting some Seafoam in the crankcase, run it hard for a few days then change the oil.
The do-it-yourself is the way of the future. I watched one video where the lady took her vehicle to the dealership to have an oil change. $500 later it was done. Once they get your car they grab your wallet.
You are 100% right. My tractor dealership is fair but other than that I have trust issues. Sad part is that I paid for oil what an oil change prob cost 3 years ago. Lol. One day I want to have a lift in my shop. Would prob lay for itself!
@@JoeTheFarmer well is was a very funny mis spell made me chuckle Joe, cause with out a hoist shits always hard laying on a floor in my case gravel lane. Ouch
Dude thank you so much I have been waiting for a good video like this to help me get it done. Huge props to you sir thank you
Absolutely!!! Glad I could help brother. Appreciate you watching.

Ok this is precisely why I take my machines in for service! I hear you on the clostrophobic too!

Thanks Miles, appreciate that buddy. You and I should go shopping for utvs together. I like spending other peoples money! 🤣

Absolutely right. And it’s fun when the weather is cool and calm. And yes; praying for rain man. My plots are toast.
Can you tell me how to get to the carburator?
It’s fuel injected; there is not a carburetor.

How did u start the machine without foot on the brake
I may have had my foot on the brake while standing. Don’t recall but if you let me know the time stamp I’ll go back and watch. Thanks!
Mine will start without foot on brake as long as it is in neutral.

Does your 550 make a faint tick when it’s running?
No; it didn't. It now lives on a friends property but is still running like a top. Try putting some Seafoam in the crankcase, run it hard for a few days then change the oil.
What size was the oil filter wrench you used?
Sorry but don’t recall. Likely 10mm
What oil filter did you use? I'm having a difficult time finding a part number to cross reference
I thought I mentioned it in the video; but if not my bad. I usually do. Will need to check the barn
67mm 14 flute
I changed the oil in my coleman yesterday...Tried to start it and the solenoid just clicks..Any ideas as to what may have happened sir?
Given the weather; my guess is battery.
Oil needs to be rated for wet clutch, one guy said, cant remember the UC code , not playing pro, just some a Hisun tech said
All good bro! Appreciate you sharing with the group. Haven’t had any issues but good to know. 😁👍🏼
Thank u!

If you didn't have to poke a screwdriver in your drain plug to get the oil flowing than you're perfectly fine.
Yikes. Sounds like there’s a story there. Lol. Thanks for watching man!
What are the different 12 volt batteries that fit this,, can I get at Walmart ? Thanks
Not sure my friend, just take the old one in and buy a quality new one that is similar. The retailer will help. Sorry I'm not much more help.
