    Thanks so much for your review after a year video. I’ve been looking at many brands and made the same realization that all the accessories would cost so much more from others, but this comes with them! Drove one yesterday, $7,999. I’ll pbuy it now. Tks again 🥳🥳🥳

    Thanks for posting this. I have been looking for a video that goes through this for some time now and this is the first one that is comprehensive. Especially the part about removing the splash pan - great information! I'm due for an oil change on mine and now I can get it done with some added confidence.

    Looking at your video, at marker 6:08, when you are taking off the bottom plate and looking for the drain bolt, you can see the oil filter clearly and I was wondering if that would be easier to remove the filter from underneath instead of from on top?

  • @donyarborough4561

    Save your old filter and take it with you to Walmart and check it with Fram filters and I bet you’ll find one that matches for around $4.00. I have done that with just about everything I have.

    @ACDInc1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video. Hard to find any maintenance manuals on this thing. Was wondering why you did not use full synthetic motor oil.
    I don’t have a chain oil filter wrench. Was wondering if I remove the other skid plate would the filter be more accessible.

    • @WorleyFamilyHomestead
      @WorleyFamilyHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, There are not many videos on the Coleman. Not really sure why I didn't use synthetic oil. I don't think removing the other skid plate will give you antmore room. They make a filter wrench that fits on a ratchet that looks like a socket. I think that will work the best and give the most room. When I get one i will do another video with the correct size. thanks

    I am in the middle of changing mine for the first time and came in to look for any hacks to make it simpler. I can't believe the manual advises you to (always) check the oil before you drive it! Are they kidding? You'd have to take off the seat, then remove what I believe the manual calls a "console" (It's just a cover over the engine that sits under the seat). Just to check the oil. Ha. Thats 5 bolts. But I also took the seat back off for more room to work and to be able to get a socket on the back of the seat bottom bolts because I couldn't find a 10mm box wrench, another 8 bolts to get that off. Lord knows what I'll have to remove to get to the drain plug & filter. at least the air filter looks like it will be pretty accessible & easy to replace. With that being said, we love our "Lil Red". It is the best $6k I've spent for this ranch. 2 of the Grandkids have learned to drive it safely, ages 11 & 8. Thanks for the video... from the Martin DD Ranch in NE Texas while we're at it, what about fuel? The manual recommends 91 octane or over. Anyone have any problems using 87(regular) unleaded? Thats all I put in it and haven't had any problems.

    Do you actually have to take the skid plate off to get to the drain plug? Also, when you check the oil level do you screw in the filler cap or just check it without screwing it in?

    • @WorleyFamilyHomestead
      @WorleyFamilyHomestead  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. I did have to take part of the skid plate off to get to the drain plug. It was not that bad to take off. I usually do both when checking the oil. But I believe the right way is to do it with out screwing it back in. Thanks.

    Great video again. I agree with Bill, the engineers should have technicians or mechanics look over the design. Or have them work in a maintenance shop for off and on, at least as part of their training. Sure is a lot of grass to mow. Seems like the mower operator knows what she’s doing, though. Critters all looked good as usual. Until next time…

    • @WorleyFamilyHomestead
      @WorleyFamilyHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hope all is well with you. That is a good idea to have someone look over the design before they build it. It was not so bad though except the oil filter. We do have a lot of grass and it is so hot and humid here now it seems to grow before you finish cutting it. I'm glad Kim likes to mowe. If I could just get her interested in the trim work i'd be set..... Good to hear from you.....
