In America, that person can still run for President which in that case would be very fair. It was a good, original thought. It backfired horrendously, but the premise was sound.
I've heard of a German politician who went to jail for 'Trouble Making' in 1921 and then on a separate case in 1924, was convicted and imprisoned changed with 'High Treason'.

The judge in this case drew the short straw. If t-rump somehow cheats his way into the presidency like he did last time he could make life difficult for this guy. That's the only reason that comes to mind with trump flaunting the American justice system as he's doing now and no accountability. Anyone else would be in jail.

Standard legal procedure in these cases: the judge will give the defendant a $1000 fine. If he violates the gag order again, then a $10,000 fine. And if he does it again, 30 days in the Court House jail.
