@@tobysampson3860 I think winning the title in 1980 was a much greater achievement, the fact that it was the first time since 1965 that it was won by a non old firm club. Then there was 1983 and winning a European trophy with a Scottish club. Or 1991 beating Barcelona in a European cup final in the very first year English clubs where allowed to play in Europe and English football was light years away from European teams back then. Or 1993 winning the first prem league. All much greater achievements and could you please put the link up to where he says that is his "greatest achievement" because I think its just one of them things you heard and repeated without actually checking so if you could show the link in the comments I'd appreciate it 👍

Ask Alex Kral how much of a gentleman he is, or ANY of our youth players over the last 4 years. (And before you say it, no he didn’t bring through Dec, Pellegrini did). It’s easy to come across one way when you’re in a room full of friends. I’m curious as to how you think “West Ham” have treated him; he was the 4th longest tenured manager in the PL throughout his 2nd stint w us. He wasn’t sacked, his contract didn’t get renewed. (ik you didn’t say he got sacked or anything but it’s a common thing people like to say that’s just not true). Speak to most WH fans and they’ll tell you that they’re grateful for his time but it was time to move on. It’s arguable that he left the club in a worse state than when he came back after Pellegrini, but he’s definitely raised our profile across Europe. Anyways, what I’m trying to get at is don’t buy into every narrative the media outlets put out, talk to the fans and see if it’s true before making blanket statements filled with blame toward us.

One of, if not the best episode of TRIF. Thought Moyes was a great listen, answered all the questions really well and was funny into the bargain.

David's first appointment in management was with Preston North End when it had nearly had gone bust and it was saved by Trevor Hemmings. Trevor was a good businessman but very tight... David learned how to deal for players with no money.

As a United fan, I'm glad that they tried to have a British manager after SAF even if it didn't work out. I remember Moyes was criticised a lot for bringing in players he knew, but every manager seems to do including ETH. You do wonder if it was because he was British he didn't have more time.

It's not about nationality. He lost out in domestic competitions to Sunderland and Swansea.. and the league was miserable. That's why it was swift exit. Other managers were given more time because they had actually booked a final at the end of season to look forward, Moyes was too one dimensional. At least he did better than LVG in champions League.

I am a Manchester United fan through and through, i am convinced that if Moyes had had the right people above him at United, he would have succeeded. The right club, but at the wrong time for super David moyes. An underated manager and a great guy

Watching Moyes practically sprinting down the touch line after winning the conference league will stay with me forever. An awesome moment for us West Ham fans. However, the football we’ve watched for the last two years was almost insufferable. It’s not wanting more than we deserve, it just wanting something you can fully get behind without our eyes bleeding. Hearing that he and others still don’t get that basic idea is disappointing. I’ve too much respect for a man of Moyes years to say anything nasty. Wish him all the best.

Liked the interview. Moyes spoke well and my personal view is that he did a good job at West Ham but poor that the guys didn’t put the other perspective from a proportion of their fan base to him about his style of play which is ultimately why there was unrest about him in the job ie. Would you change your style of play to suit the club / fans? Did you understand despite the results the fans wanted a more attacking style of football? Etc

videography issue - crossing the line - the camera on micah/alan should be on the left shoulder of moyes so they are looking left to right in shot - as it is the camera is on his right side so the geography of their positions is all mixed up
