When I was 14 my 12 year old brother a Chelsea fan who was terminally ill with cancer had a wonderful trip to a Chelsea v City game. Chelsea got trounced 3-0 an Aguero hat-trick. After the game we met the players in the tunnel. John was expectional, took great time to talk with my father and brother taking pictures. My brother died 6 weeks later, four days afterwards my family received a hand written letter from John Terry and Chelsea about the experience of meeting my brother and how it impacted him. It was a class act and a superb touch. Myself and my family will always remember John Terry for this and hugely respect him as a man.

Do you remember when Sky has a show called “The Debate”? Simple concept, Dave Jones as presenter and then two football/football adjacent people on, discussing and, you guessed it, debating current talking points of the game. I remember Jordan being on it, before I really knew who he was, and he was fantastic on it. I may not always agree with him, but he doesn’t just throw out silly opinions without any thought going into them and can always back them up. Not sure why they got rid of that show as it was great, but regardless, since Jordan has turned up on TalkSPORT his three hours a day is some of the best sports discussion available.

Ironically his insight into the England setup was the most I got from this. It feels like that he's essentially saying the choice of managers and even tournament itineraries were the key reasons for the underachievement and that makes more sense than the mainstream media narrative that the players just didn't like eachother!

Fair play for touching on the anton ferdinand situation something I actually forgot about. And I suppose fair play from JT from not shying away from the question..
As a person of colour who played football all over the UK for 30 years but more primarily the north east of England I've been in situations and had to deal with off the cuff words in the heat of the moment. Only twice has my colour ever been Brought Into it factually and the situation was dealt with on the pitch and after as men right or wrongly we shook hands and my thoughts there after were mine.. The older I get the more I just think well there's obviously something missing in that person's life where they feel they need to talk to another human in that way

Yeah moronic, are they thinking that because he got suspended? how about players that are injured for finals, do they not count as winners too? You win as a team and a club.

Keane and Scholes got winners medals from '99 despite not playing in the final, so the precedent had been set far earlier.....

@@edwindsouza8816 can you imagine playing all the way up to the final and then not played the final and not being a winner. Makes sense that anyone that was involved is a winner. Not sure what the min requirements are but there must be some as it’s a squad game. Without the squad, the final 11 don’t get there

Nah, didn't play in the final, but turned up for the photo like a full kit wanker. When he had the chance to win it genuinely, he slipped on his arse and cried into his shin pads.

i loved that insight on one of this players not seeing his family. And then giving him some time off and came back a different player. So interesting. Shows the nuance of it all.

United fan here, such a weetarded question asking does he consider himself a European cup winner, it’s not a matter of opinion, he is, simple as..so so silly to ask that
