What a bloke , Gary Lineker. Whom i actually met in , Barbados. My brother Jeremy runs a water sports business. Gary was a customer, and being a former Spurs fan myself, my brother said “ there’s Gary Lineker” I met him and had a ten minute conversation. Up the Lineker!!
Their careers are very different and admirable. But, I’d take Gary’s. I love what Shearer did at Newcastle, it’s really not about medals and money. But Gary was a lovely player, so gifted and a proper sportsman.
This is such a great podcast. As a Villa fan, I know, while Micah didn’t play his best football at Villa, but he’s known as a positive influence in the changing room. Three legends.
I’ve just discovered this podcast and is without doubt the best football podcast out there, insightful, informative and hilarious with 3 guys who clearly get on really well .Great chemistry gentlemen 👋🏽👌🏾
Micah mentions this around the 12 mins mark,..and I agree fully. Match of the day is the BEST punditry highlights program in any sport, world over EVER. And I have travelled the world watching all kinds of sports highlights programs ...the reason why I say this is because,... you all know what you are talking about and explain it in such a way that the man on the street can understand.,.. You have all been there and have done it yourselves, ....and to top it off, you are all good mates and enjoy each other's banter, and take the piss out of each other with a laugh. And as a viewer, it is so entertaining to watch. Even my partner who hates football loves to see guys talking to each other 🙂 You guys are by far the best,....and it doesn't even look like you are trying.
The 3 of em in a same room is just better. That's just how the best podcast are made. The energy & chemistry is best that way so hopefully we'll get that more.
As an American I’ve learned about Micah, Alan and Lineker over the past 5 years and I truly enjoy the love these guys have for roasting each other nothing is better than mates who can take a joke and talk about life
'The drinking problem...we buy stupid things, we do stupid things only to master the pain...' MANY thanks for such open statement! It does add a massive layer of context to many things that, from the outside, are difficult to understand.
I’m always baffled that they always seem to forget each others stories. We’ve heard probably 95% of all this on the previous top 10 podcasts but yet I still watch them 😂
Jimmy Greaves is still the greatest english goalscorer we've ever had, nearly all of his goals were open play only 27 were penalties. This content is great and the banter is class
6:17 100% agree with Shearer…as a top player he obviously knows ball, and thus he knows R9 is the greatest talent in football history. No question that injuries robbed us of the greatest career ever. The man was unstoppable. My Goat!
Brilliant that Gary Shearer and Big Meeks have started their podcast as Match of the day 10 show they do together is brilliant they have terrific chemistry I missed the start of the podcast series so I'm watching them backwards started of earlier with Fabrizio Romano , every episode is hilarious .
Thank you for this. Wonderful podcast to watch and listen too. The 3 of you are legends of the game, well Alan and Gary are... and Micah is such a genuine, lovable character in this relaxed atmosphere, it just works. Do you think you can get Roy Keane on as a guest? I've subscribed!

Winning a top-flight title with Rovers is the single greatest accomplishment of any of the 3, even greater than being the Premier League’s all-time scorer. Shearer didn’t have the silverware but he had the best, most outstanding career of the 3.
I remember Micah’s first few match of the days and he was terrible as a pundit and analyst. He just repeated what he was asked. But he seemed enthusiastic… But over time you could see he became more comfortable, found his groove and also more than anything let his personality out and quickly became one of the best pundits on the scene, As much as I love the rapport between these guys seeing him break Roy Keane was also one of his highlights 😂
