I am an older gentleman who has been building and painting my own vehicles. This young man was such a joy to watch because he was truly excited the entire time. I know that feeling. Enjoy the pride you will feel everytime you drive it.
Mate I had a smile the whole time watching this. As a fitter and turner that tray and whole build is an absolute work of beauty and will definitely turn heads no matter where it goes..Well done Liam and to the crew behind it all.
Awesome result! Congrats guys! And kudos for putting in the hard work to build your own and not just take a hand out from sponsers. Easily the most honest and down to earth 4WD channel on TH-cam!
Props to you Liam, most of us would be way to scared to tackle anything like this. Cool to see you boys working with your Dad too! Bloody amazing result!
Liam’s a great presenter, and it gets better all the time, but the other thing that has come so far is the editing and production quality of the vids. Wonderful work lads. I love that you’ve come this far since I first saw you and subbed.
A big build is exactly what this channel needed, where you’ve come from and where you’re at now. What a big build you’ve absolutely smashed out..! Well done lads. Great to see everyone has had a hand in it. Can’t wait to see the bar work, mirrors, lights etc… Love this channel 👌🏼
Iv been watching this channel since it began, and it’s gone from a couple of kids having fun to what is probably the best 4x4 channel on TH-cam. It’s informative, obtainable, mistakes are talked about and not hidden, no egos and genuinely likeable people. Great work
Great work Liam. It was also great to meet the three of you (Pat, Liam & Dan) at the Sydney 4x4 show yesterday (Sat). You all came across as genuine in person as you do on this channel. And your TD42 looks even better in person. 👍
Loved watching this episode and especially seeing the genuine look of satisfaction and elation of getting her home without a hitch. A truly magic moment 👌
i just wanted to say congratulations. watching this build has given me the motivation to get back into building my 4by. its been great watching you do most of the work from home showing that things can be done by yourself and a few mates to help out. cant wait to see how this car goes off road and how the canopy fit-out goes. 10/10 job
I have loved watching this series of a young fella having a go at this. Been a wholesome reaction at the end has made it. Well done mate. Great looking rig
Even when its not done, when all of the extreme hard work is done, this moment is so sweet. It goes from never being a car again, to oh man, the vision was worth it and most of the time (without a show deadline) it's what makes you go and finish all the little things cause you don't want to leave it short after how good it felt to see it done. Congrats Liam, this is slick!
The Frozen grin on your face at the end says it all. Technique, skill and execution all came together for this epic build. We all can't be anything but proud of you and your teams work. I watched it twice.
Man I really didn’t realise how much technical work goes into something like this. Saw it in person at the Sydney show and looks bloody amazing!!! Fantastic job guys.
100% agree, love it. To utilise you descriptive, "it's mint" haha. Was dubious about head board, but it came up a treat. Curious, what's to stop water/slush accumulating in the tail board tubing? Appears each corner at tray level is open. Have you incorporated drain holes or something?
Tray looked bloody good, could still smell the fresh paint in Sydney! Of all the big flash "look at me" trucks at the Sydney show..... Yours would have to have been one of my favourites. Clean, elegant, well built with a vision, no stupid doof doof going on, no blingy lights..... Just a couple young fellas, a card table and some merchandise. Keep up the good work boys.
I’m a old fella and professional roo shooter in the West ….and a cruiser man my whole life……But boys ..that Nissan turned out bloody beautiful…well done to you all boys ..good stuff ..
Quick tip: autocad is not a "very basic software package!" It's one of the most powerful cad packages. Excellent roll over protection in that tray build. Well done fellas
Total transformation: I almost can't believe it's the same car! I dig the clean look of it at the moment, but obviously, accessories and stuff need to be added to make it useable. Well done, Liam!
Very cool build. You all done a great job of showing the start to finish process with all the necessary information. It's nice and clean now but can't wait to see it offroad in future episodes.
Down to earth -focused on cost / reusing things like the mud flaps. Defs the best 4WD now on TH-cam! Why? The every day worker can actually aspire to it. Well done boys. Bloody good job
Great to meet you boys yesterday at the Sydney 4x4 show. The GQ looked mint. I would recommend investing on some PPF just to keep the paint job looking fresh for as long as possible. I wish I did on mine. As always editing is top notch. 👍👍
that is great looking. I have seen a few builds like this and a few had that large gap behind the cad and a large hole under the front of the tray. Your idea of bending the tube around and mounting in that area really makes it look nicer.
Stellar work. Your channel is juat efffortless viewing. No temptation to jump ahead, i just enjoy all of your presenting styles and content. Keep up the great work. Thanyou.
You have done an amazing job on the whole vehicle. Can't wait to see the finished project .The only thing that lets it down only slightly is the front indicator lenses.
As someone who use to install, fit and upgrade ute trays for a professional company. Seeing thw issues that can come from a full team being checked by multiple people before i got it. This things beautiful and as good (by looks) than most companys do.
Starting at the age of 18, I had a project with an '84 Patrol Ute, between 1996 and 2000. It was my first vehicle and I learned a lot from that project. Never got it to look that good though (:
Hell you boys are doing quite well Been a long time watcher and everything is in spec With experience myself I can say you boys are top notch and perform for any crowd that view your vids The work that’s happening is absolutely someone that knows what they’re doing. This is capped off with the editing that follows Hats off to you boys ❤
Well done boys. Really enjoyed the vid and you showed some procedures that most wouldn’t know about, especially with the stress relieving techniques. You have every right to be proud of yourselves. Cheers….. Pete
Wicked! All your hard work and planning has paid off mate. Your vehicle your way. Congratulations Liam. Looks amazing. Can't wait to see it with some mud on the tyres..
Mate what an awesome job i can really appreciate it after seeing it in person at the show in Sydney . That tray is sick as the work skill and time that has gone into it shows . Good on you hope you enjoy it . Keep it up . It was good to meet you all in Sydney.
Nice. Very nice. Haven't seen something nice since having seen a similar set up while deployed to Guadal Canal back in 1986. The only difference is that the bars were formed to go just to the outside of the whole pickup.
Awesome job Liam it looks bloody brilliant. Just one suggestion would to be to paint the front flares white to give it a more sleek and complete look. Very nice.
Man you guys have come a long way since I started watching you, absolutely epic stuff! And not come a long way because sponsors threw the kitchen sinks at you. Well done lads, hopefully you make it to a brissy 4x4 show this year!
Loved the build! I can't help but think about that massive void under the tray though above the gas tank. It would have been really cool to see you design a rectangular tool box into that section that would slide out the back of the truck where you mounted the license plate giving you access to massive under tray storage
Farr, that's buetiful, I love the bars folding over into gaurds. The head boards narly The rear lights That's a real cool arse end. Every man and he's dog be pleased to own that. Winning you are bro, *Winning*
Looks great man, well done!
Cheers guys! Means alot !
Looks awesome mate love your guys videos. Watching from New Zealand 🇳🇿
That means alot coming from the Best Four Wheel Drive Channel on TH-cam...
Getting compliment from Mighty Car Mods is something special, well done guys the tray looks mint.
I am an older gentleman who has been building and painting my own vehicles. This young man was such a joy to watch because he was truly excited the entire time. I know that feeling. Enjoy the pride you will feel everytime you drive it.
Hats off to Dad helping. Don’t take those days for granted 🙏🏼 Legend on the tools as well 😮💨
Mate I had a smile the whole time watching this.
Thanks mate, that really means alot !
Props to you Liam, most of us would be way to scared to tackle anything like this. Cool to see you boys working with your Dad too! Bloody amazing result!
liam's dad and his workshop*^^
would love to see a video of how much Liam spent on the whole transformation
Any where between 6 million and 10 million
Prob a lot less than buying new??
Will do a build review where we cover any questions about the build! Thinking of even doing it as a live stream
A cost break down would be really interesting.
@@AussieArvos can i ask what the problem was with the ATI rims as i’m looking at getting a set for my gu?
Liam’s a great presenter, and it gets better all the time, but the other thing that has come so far is the editing and production quality of the vids. Wonderful work lads. I love that you’ve come this far since I first saw you and subbed.

Well done lads. Great to see everyone has had a hand in it.

Love this channel 👌🏼
That tray came out an absolute treat! So crazy to see the transformation from the old farm truck she used to be to what it is now!
Iv been watching this channel since it began, and it’s gone from a couple of kids having fun to what is probably the best 4x4 channel on TH-cam. It’s informative, obtainable, mistakes are talked about and not hidden, no egos and genuinely likeable people. Great work

Grouse to meet you too mate, thanks for your support as always 👍

That looks so good. I do love the black rims on the older 4wd compared to the polished alloy everyone seems to be doing nowadays. 👍
Such a great channel. In fact I have to declare this officially as the Best 4wd Channel on TH-cam 😂. Almost at 100K boys!
Couldn’t help but smile and in awe once the whole tray build was complete. Absolute ripper of a video!!!
I have loved watching this series of a young fella having a go at this.
Been a wholesome reaction at the end has made it.

Fantastic job guys.
Should be proud of the quality and worksmanship involved in this. Good to see the detail involved in the EP.
Well done to Liam and everyone else involved. Truly something to be proud of.
That looks fantastic! Love the planning and craftsmanship you and the team have put into tray build.
Boys the tray is unbelievable can't believe that started from scratch
you,,started from scratch in your dads brain..
Matching the wheel arches front to back is what makes it for me. Fantastic job!
Well done Liam 👍
The look on your face to see what you achieved just shows how proud you are of it 👌
Tray looked bloody good, could still smell the fresh paint in Sydney!

I had a little chuckle when he called AutoCAD basic 🤣It's only an industry standard CAD software😆
Dad is really a craftsman love what you are doing.
Wow, this old Patrol is looking mint. Love the tray, really solid. Can't wait to see it finished
Hell yeah...well done looks awesome 👍🏼 it's who you know in the game... The guy who is the welder is a Champ..The smile on your face says it all.
Wow!! It looks awesome. I truly enjoyed watching how precise you are with all the work you do.
Hats off, this thing looks incredible. What a transformation Liam!! Well deserved ❤️
Well done young fella. You should be suitably proud. Can see the joy on your face. Keep it up. 👍
Probably the best episode yet! Love how it's looking! Such an awesome project.
Down to earth -focused on cost / reusing things like the mud flaps. Defs the best 4WD now on TH-cam! Why? The every day worker can actually aspire to it.
Well done boys. Bloody good job
Definition of hard work, great job liam everyone is proud of you brother 💙
Great to meet you boys yesterday at the Sydney 4x4 show. The GQ looked mint. I would recommend investing on some PPF just to keep the paint job looking fresh for as long as possible. I wish I did on mine. As always editing is top notch. 👍👍

That's absolutely awesome, I never saw that tray coming, Brilliant 😎
You sir have made an old car look brand new great work and a load of hard work paid off for sure
Starting at the age of 18, I had a project with an '84 Patrol Ute, between 1996 and 2000. It was my first vehicle and I learned a lot from that project. Never got it to look that good though (:

Incredible boys, this has come up so well, massive amounts of work, sensational job 👌🏼😎🤙🏼
You guys are amazing. What a beautiful work of art and engineering that tray is.
