I really like what Capcom did with the RE2 and RE4 remakes, but nothing tops the remake of the original in my opinion. This is really one of my favorite games of all time and one I like to revisit every Halloween.
Re2 2019 was butchered aswell! Cut content, enemies,no fixed camera angles, characters personality's altered, story makes no sense,no music except for og game ost, shortened and altered areas,no tank controls... re2 2019 was rushed and over inflated..its only good with pc mods
I really like both the original RE2 and the RE2 Remake, so I say play them both. The remake has a lot better voice acting and might be easier to get into, so I would probably play that first.
Even as an 80s baby who grew up on 90s gaming I'm going to say just follow the remake trail now, the original RE2 and 3 aren't going to feel anywhere near as good to you as this game because this game lands in a weird spot somewhere between old RE and new RE where the original 2 and 3 are distinctly old RE, RE4 is a bit different as both versions are totally functional today but if you're younger I would still say just go with the remake, chances are the original will have some quirky game design that is more off putting than charming to you, you'll experience the same storyline but going with the remake versions will just make you love the series more rather than putting you off the series because it seems like a dated style of play to you, and as a lifelong fan of the series this is exactly why I love the remake series because it brings new fans in and hopefully 20 somethings will get to experience their own versions of what us 40 somethings fell in love with all those years ago, one other thing though, just be prepared for a dip in quality and length with RE3 and that applies to the original and remake versions but stick with it whichever path you decide to go down.
REmake and TLOU are my favourite games ever I think!!! I was first introduced to RE when I was about 9/10 years old and I played the OG RE 1 first. I fell in love with RE. I love classic RE. Love OG 1,2,3 & CV. REmake is the 🐐 imo, enjoyed 0. Like RE2 remake. That’s about it lol
2:20 en cont-rare, it makes WAAAY more sense for a residence where people once lived and worked in be well lit. But REmake is certainly better at delivering the vibes we're looking for.
It's Resident Evil Remastered not Resident Evil Remake. Resident Evil 2,3,and 4 are Remakes. This one isn't hence why they are campaigning to remake it. I honestly don't care for any remakes or remasters. Both ruin the originals imo. While the Resident Evil Remastered did keep the tank controls the game was ruined by changing everything else from the dialogue to adding extra stuff not in the original game to changing foes and the game as a whole. All the game needed was a simple graphics upgrade. Everything else was perfect even the cheesey dialogue. The same way you don't want the Resident Evil Remastered to be redone into an over the shoulder remake version is how I felt for the Resident Evil Remastered and the Remakes afterwards. Alas like it or not they'll green light the Resident Evil Remake because there's money there to be made and it's not a true Remake because it's a Remastered.
REmake doesn't replace the original though. It's like The Evil Dead and it's remake. Completely different experiences, both amazing in their own right.
No, that's the deal with the other 3 remakes, but not with this one, this is legit a faithful improvement that you can just play over the og and never play the og again, though you should still try out the og too even so.

I just beat this the other day. What should I play next, Resident Evil 2 original or Resident Evil 2 Remake?
What original/old RE have you actually played?

FF7 remake is total garbage. Such a disappointment but I agree with this video. REmake is perfection.
FF7 REmake is a fan fiction brought to life. Literally could probably find that same story on Internet fan fiction forums in 2009.
2 and 3 need to be remade like resident evil 1 remake again becouse are trash full of cut content and bad design

best remake ever resident evil 2 and 3 reimagined are garbage
Cut 2 and your correct but not 2... your opinion is invalid on 2

@@genesis26-g2z that's no excuse to screw the fake remakes
RE2 REimagined and RE3 REimagined are atrocity disasters

It really does. You only reply the original if you want to see the bad campy voice acting, which is already easily viewable on TH-cam
