Thanks one more thing I looked on their Official page and your review but wanted to know if those side buttons are customizable. Not just for up and down. The ones by thumb.
@@jcap8391 Yep, they're 100% customizable. Sorry I didn't include that in the video, but they have all the customization of the left and right click buttons too. Edit's a quick Screeshot. I couldn't cap it all, but it gives you an idea of the options: drive.google.com/file/d/1AUxQqG-lE-0cjT0mnCltKQoIcl-7NLTa/view?usp=sharing
Thanks for directly comparing these! I was feeling stuck between the mx master 3s for the magnetic wheels and the Lift for the new hand position. I think my hands and wrists are feeling tight and painful both from a lot of computer work and smartphone scrolling, so I wasn’t sure if the fast wheels would help me more than the vertical position. (I currently use the Logitech pebble) It sounds like the vertical position is going to make more of an impact for me. Thank you also for the tip about horizontal scrolling! I’ve never had that before without using a keyboard modifier in my software.
Hey noisy doll, I'm glad the video was helpful. Since I released that video, I have been using the Lift for the majority of my work. When I work on my other computer, I go back to the MX3S, but the Lift feels way more natural to me now. I had never heard of the Logitech Pebble before, but it looks like an Apple Magic mouse. The Lift will definitely be a huge improvement for you in terms of Ergonomics. Yea, the modifier without additional software is great!
Just got a Logitech lift and so far so good. The adjustment period was pretty quick and comfortable. I definitely agree about the scrolling on the lift. Awesome review!!
Glad to hear you're liking it The master of games! I use it about 95% of the time on my work computer, and use the MX3S for editing video less often. Btw, you can get horizontal scroll with the Lift easily. I made a quick video about it in the pinned comments in case you need that feature. Thanks for watching my video 🙂
really a great review, I wanted to ask you something that I didn't understand: can the scroll wheel button be customized with a customizable function when pressed? Thanks again.
Thanks for watching : ) Yep, the middle button can be customized to perform actions, such as launching programs, switching applications, task view, keyboard shortcuts, media controls, etc.
Thanks for not wasting time on the unboxing section and for clicking the buttons for us. I would love a white mouse, but I have doubts about it staying clean, or being truly cleanable once skin oils become visible. I'd enjoy watching a follow-up video on how you feel about this mouse if you have been using it since April of 2022. Thanks for the video!
Hey Aaron! I'm actually still using this mouse as my main mouse everyday for around 8 to 10 hours a day. I still use the MX 3S on my secondary computer, but the Lift is now my main mouse. I did notice some discoloration on the left side of the mouse under where the back and forward buttons are, but I've been cleaning it about once a month with a lightly dampened cloth and it removes the stains. I've also managed to keep my MX 3S clean by cleaning it with a damp cloth as well. It definitely is prone to discoloration. My room is usually kept at a comfortable temperature year round. However, if it was hot and humid often, I know it would be in way worse condition due to sweat, oils, etc. It can be kept clean with more frequent maintenance, but not everyone has time for that.
@@DemCrumblies Thanks for your reply! I recently purchased a white Jelly Comb vertical mouse and with only 3 days of use it began yellowing around the thumb and fingertips areas. And I have white peripherals and I put extra effort into keeping my hands clean at my computer, so its not like I've got Cheez-It fingers. This white Jello Comb mouse can't even be cleaned with 91% rubbing alcohol as recommended by the seller, so I'm going to return it. However, it has a silent click and very low travel distance on the clicker, so now I really want to keep those features with whatever mouse I get next.
Thank you. Excellent video. As a creative who also uses Photoshop and CorelDraw this has answered many of the questions that put me off buying a Logi vertical mouse. I also program the buttons for each app and use the gesture button/pad of my MX Master quite often. I hope the next iteration will include the missing features. Brill. Thanks again.
Thanks Mike. Glad you found the review helpful. I forgot to mention in this video that there is a way to get horizontal scrolling, but I made a quick follow-up video here about it in case horizontal scrolling is important to you: th-cam.com/video/ZSvH5Y-4GMg/w-d-xo.html
Hi, Thanks to you for this awesome comparison. I have watched several such videos, but this is the best by far and it has been so useful. Thanks again.
Thank you Selcuk, I'm glad it was helpful. I still use the Lift Vertical as my primary mouse (90% of the time) and the MX 3S for my editing computer. It's hard to go back to a traditional mouse now that I've used the Lift Vertical.
@@DemCrumblies I have ordered Lift a few days ago, hopefully it will arrive today. But I was thinking should I order MX Master 3 as well just to change my wrist position. After I have seen your video, I have realized there is no need. Thanks again for your reliable evaluation. All the best
@@SelcukOZMUMCU I think you made the right decision to go with the Lift over the MX 3S. While the MX 3S is a great mouse and I love the magnetic scroll wheel, the hand position that the Lift forces you into, feels way more natural. Enjoy your new mouse!
Great review and nice attention to detail I haven´t seen anywhere else, fo example about the watch scratching the desk. I´m also using the MX Masters 3 and try to decide whether or not I should get the Lift. You convinced me, I´ll give the Lift a try.
Thanks for watching @saschakirme9224 🙂 I'm still using the Lift as my primary mouse and still love the feel of it. It's definitely worth a try. Let me know how it goes once you get it!
Hey! Thanks for the review! It's really helpful! I'm leaning towards the Lift as a gift for someone who does graphic design. However, I've heard that the Lift causes you to rest the side of your palm on the desk/mouse pad due to its vertical shape (unlike a regular mouse where your hand is horizontal and your wrist hovers). Have you noticed this? If so, is that irritating to you, like the constant rubbing or something? I've heard some people accommodate this by slightly lifting their wrist off the desk/mouse pad or getting some sort of wrist cushion, but I'm wondering if it's really a noticeable issue for people? I'm not sure. :/
Hey DB, I think it would make a great gift after they got used to the new form factor. I do lots of graphic design and I use the Lift as my primary mouse. Even with a traditional mouse like the MX 3, I still found myself placing lots of pressure or weight on the right side of my wrist, so I bought a padded mouse wrist pad where there's a gel pad for the wrist, and a flat surface above that for the mouse. I use that with the Lift as well, so I have not noticed any issues with rubbing.
Not sure if it was mentioned in the video: Logitech Lift works on the glass surface. It's an amazing mouse, it's way more comfortable than the classic design.
Appreciate the feedback. I've been having a burning in my wrist, and I was thinking about switching from the MX Anywhere 3S. I've been so used to the silent clicks. I didn't want to have the clickiness of most mice. This is a very nice comparison.
Glad the video is useful Tracy. I'm still using my Lift over my MX 3 mice because it feels way more natural in the hand. It was quick for me to adapt to it too.
I just got this mouse in white and paired it with a frosted white mechanical alice layout keyboard. I was surprised how fast I adapted to the ergonomic mouse and how comfortable it is compared to a traditional mouse. And I really love the soft muted clicks, its just so zen. lol. The middle button is weird location IMHO, would have been much better if it was up top like the MX ergonomic.
Hey @OsHi, glad you're liking it so far. Yea that middle button is a bit high up. Once you go to quiet clicks, it's hard to go back. The new MX 3S has similar quiet clicks too, but since I've on the computer for many hours, I mostly use the Lift. Btw, just a reminder that it has horizontal scroll if you use the back or forward button as a modifier in case you didn't know. That white Alice keyboard looks pretty clean too from what I saw on Google!
First question is that If a person works with writing on keyboard like coding or just writer - there is a lot of shifting of hand from and to keyboard from mouse. If the mouse is not sideways like this I dont need to rotate my arm every time. And with this mouse I imagine I would not only need to slide my hand to and from keyboard to it, but also make lifting up movement.
Yep you have to intentionally lift your hand higher to accommodate for the height. It took me around a week to get used to retraining my hand so that I didn't hit the top of it. Once you get used to rotating your wrist in the air while transitioning over to the keyboard, you get pretty adept at it so that it isn't really a hindrance. I always held off on trying a vertical mouse, but I think the size of this one makes the transition easier over the larger MX Vertical.
Yea I hear you, and I was thinking why didn't they just put it when I first got the Lift. However, I now realize that the reason is mag scrolling works so smoothly is because there's minimal friction since to it being perfectly horizontal how it sits. If they put something similar on the Lift, the wheel would sit at an angle, so if you flicked it, gravity would pull it down to one side and it wouldn't scroll as fast or scrolling without making a grinding or grating noise probably due to the tilt. Hope they can find some workaround though.
Thanks Cakra! I'm impressed you recognized the Vostok, I didn't think too many people were aware of that brand. I'm still using the Lift, it makes it hard to go back to a normal mouse now.
@@cakraparindra4659 Wow, I didn't know it would be so popular that it would be sold out where you are. Good luck finding one. I think you will enjoy it for almost everything except gaming.
Thanks for watching. Yea I know most wear it on the left and sometimes on the inside wrist, but my since my right hand is dominant, my eyes just naturally go there whenever I want to check the time and I'm doing any activity like using my mouse, camera, drill, etc.
Yes, for small to medium sized hands, it's perfect. I'm still using it as my main mouse on my work computer. I only use a traditional mouse when editing on a second computer now.
Thanks for showing your hand on both the MX Master and the Lift. It looks like our hands are about the same size and the Lift should fit me fine. I was really hoping I could get the Lift instead of the MX Vertical. I can never get more than maybe 18 months out of the rechargeable battery in the MX and end up needing to keep it wired.
Hey @user-jp5nu9uo4x, the battery life on the Lift has been great so far. Here's another photo where it shows my hand near a ruler for a better idea of my hand size: drive.google.com/file/d/1TQDUUCGFMgfs_zA2sXytS92CjVZq6Z-A/view?usp=drive_link Thanks for watching 🙂
@@DemCrumblies yup. Near identical. And thanks for helping me see that I had a horrible generated TH-cam handle :-) A replaceable battery is going to make me very happy.
I have the Lift - I bought it because I believe I don't have large hands, but the outside of my hand (pinky side) drags on the desk and gets uncomfortable over time. I have an MX Anywhere, and I swap between to the two when my hand starts to get bothered by the Lift. I don't know if that would still be the case with the MX Vertical, but want to throw this issue out there since I don't hear this mentioned with vertical mouse set ups.
Thanks for sharing. Even with mine, my pinky also drags against any flat surface during use, but I bought I small mousepad with a soft type of material that doesn't irritate my finger, but it's good to put this out there as a heads up for potential buyers.
Nice review!, I’m also a MX Master user considering the lift, would you say you miss the side scroll from the MX master?. I would have bought the lift in an heartbeat if it has a sidescroll, to me it is incomprehensible why Logitech wouldn’t include the sidecroll wheel , not even on the MX Vertical
Hey @polluxtroy2010, I actually didn't use the side scroll wheel much on the MX 3 so I haven't found myself missing it. I can kinda understand not putting it on the Lift since it's a smaller mouse, but on the MX Vertical, it shoulda been on there for sure. I will say though that if you have the forward and back buttons a lot, when you use them on the Lift, it isn't as nice of a click as on the MX, it feels a bit cheap in comparison.
@@DemCrumblies Lift doesn't have side-scrolling, where you horizontally pan or scroll on canvas or while editing? But MX Master 3 and MX Vertical has it?
@Gail Cruz Yea they didn't include it on the Lift. However, if you click and hold the forward or backwards button down, the vertical scroll wheel will scroll horizontally temporarily until your release the backward or forward button. So that is a pretty good work around. Here's a video showing how to do that easily: th-cam.com/video/ZSvH5Y-4GMg/w-d-xo.html
Hey @polluxtroy2010, so in the Logi Options+ software, the mouse can be set so that when you press AND hold down either the forward or backward button, the vertical scroll wheel will act as a horizontal scroll wheel until you release the button. It's a pretty good work around. Just made a new video to show how to able this: th-cam.com/video/ZSvH5Y-4GMg/w-d-xo.html
Compare this vert mouse to a “Vertical Mousepad”. Ever heard of this weird thing? It lets you make any mouse you want more ergonomic by putting your hand into handshake mode. I got it from Orb Control. Hopefully this helps fellow traditional mouse users keep using their mouse more comfortably. You’re welcome!
Hey Jay K, I've never seen that type of product before. How have you been finding it so far? Do you ever feel like the mouse will fall down unless you apply enough pressure to keep it on the mat? It may work for some users, I'd probably stick to a vertical mouse to have more desk space personally.
@@DemCrumblies Hey there :) Yeah there's trade-offs, but I barely feel the weight of the mouse in my hand. It actually takes up less desk surface space, but more upwards vertical space than a traditional flat mousepad. I'm just quicker and more accurate with a regular mouse so I like it. I have a vert mouse too, but I been using the mouseramp with a regular mouse 80% of the time as I do a lot of 3D modeling and photo editing... where my hand is on the mouse and my other hand is on the keyboard typing shortcuts. Plus it's pretty easy to rest the hand on the mouseramp. I basically alternate with a mouse on and off the mouseramp nowadays. Since I got this I've actually stopped using my vert mouse. I guess it depends what kind of pointer tracking situation you're using it for, and what trade-offs your willing to make in exchange for the advantage you want to enjoy.
Hi Purnima, I haven't personally used the MX Master 2S, so I'd be biased to say get the Lift. However, if I had to pick between the Lift and the MX 3 or MX 3S, I would pick the Lift because it feels way more natural now than with the MX 3, and I had used the MX 3 for three years straight before making the Lift my primary mouse. I still use the MX 3S for my editing computer, but the Lift is what I use daily majority of the times.
Apologies if this has been asked already, but if you don't mind, could you share your hand size? Base of palm to finger tips? I'm trying to decide between the Lift and the MX Vertical, and not sure about size. According to Logitech's hand size guide, I would be a Large, but just wondering what your experience has been. I'm coming from an old Performance MX mouse.
Hey Pete, sure I actually took a photo: drive.google.com/file/d/1Z07EjqFHsiGFDYoRuyI7gLE6-gnUZ0xh/view?usp=sharing My middle finger extends just slight past the right mouse button, but it doesn't really affect me since I adapted pretty quickly. If your hand is much larger than mine, then I would skip the Lift since you'd have to use a claw like grip with a larger hand that would be uncomfortable long-term.
@@DemCrumblies Awesome, thank you! It looks like our hand sizes are nearly the same, so I'm going to try the Lift first. I'm intrigued by the rubber feel, the silent clicks, and the lower price (vs MX Vertical)! Thanks!
@@citizen_koehn That's great to hear Pete. Let me know how you find. I've been using it on my main computer since I got it. I only really use the MX3S on my editing computer. It just feel so much more natural compared to traditional mice now.
I’m right handed but wear my watch on my left, little things make the biggest differences. I won’t expect to switch completely over to the vertical mouse but I’m going to buy one today to try it, I’ve been pulling long hours doing a lot of standing (manufacturing work) computer work for about 12 hours a day with bouts of frequent clicking during specific time periods at work of current and rapid inputs. I started getting a tight pain on the top of my hand and forearm. This work is temporary for a work project but I have a month or so of doing it so maybe I can prevent carpal tunnel 😅
Hey Ricardo, I'm curious to hear your thoughts after you get it. I came from using the MX series of mice and before that, traditional mice and after a week I was 100% sold on the lift. I still use the MX 3S for video editing on my other computer, but other I use the Lift like 90% of the time. It just feels so natural to me now. I hope it helps alleviate the issues with this specific project, and it's good you're being careful and thinking about long-term damage.
Good video, but I think you should have showed the M4 and M5 buttons for the thumb, because they are not quiet. I don't use them as much as the other buttons so it's not too bad, but for a mouse that's supposed to be silent it's kind of dissapointing.
Hey, how light would you say the click is, like what is the acuation force? I’m asking because I have slight finger pain so I would like a lighter click.
Hi Membrane Keyboard, I don't have any tools to measure how much pressure needs to be exerted for the click, but it is quite minimal for the right and left main mouse buttons. The forward and back buttons located on the left side of the mouse require a bit more force though. It feels like the lightest click mouse I have used so far for the main right and left click. I hope that helps.
I found it a very very light click compared to other mice. At first I even misclicked the buttons often because of how sensitive it is, but I quickly adapted after a day or so.
@@cebukitty Yea I was surprised at how quick I adapted to it too. I was knocking the top of it for the first week or so until I remembered to lift my hand higher when I move over to it from the keyboard.
I recently tried a Jelly Comb vertical mouse for around $30 and although I would avoid the white version unless you're fine with rapid discoloration, I actually loved the extremely low travel distance and near silent clicking action on the main buttons. It spreads your fingertips a little wider from your thumb than other vertical mice like the Logitech and Anker models, and it's a little bit heavier but if your hand rests comfortably with thumb and fingertips about 2 in apart, that one might be worth looking into for half the price of this Logitech.
Extremely light. I have the left hand version and I accidentally click all the time when I first got it. It’s literally silent and takes very little force to move the buttons or the wheel. I also had the issue of rotating the wheel when trying to middle click the first week also. You adjust to it
Sure, the length from the tip of my middle finger to the base of my palm about 7.5 inches. While my finger does rest a little off the mouse, it doesn't feel like it is falling off, so if you have hands that are small to medium, this will be fine. I actually find that I have my fingers curved slightly and not pressed right up against the side of the mouse, so maybe that's why it doesn't feel like it's falling off for me. Larger hands will definitely need a bigger mouse though. Here's a quick photo I snapped. The length is between 7 inches to 7.5 inches: drive.google.com/file/d/1Z07EjqFHsiGFDYoRuyI7gLE6-gnUZ0xh/view?usp=sharing
I'm considering to buy MX Master 3 or Lift,😭I have small hands(around 16cm), usually I use mouse for editing videos and processing office documents on the computer, which one are you recommend?
Hey Emma, I have been using the Lift the most, like 95% of the time. I use the MX 3S when editing videos on my other computer, but I could easily use the Lift as well. I just prefer the Lift for long term daily use. The ergonomics are better and my hand feels in a more natural position. I would get the Lift.
@@DemCrumblies That's where I'm at now. I'm searching for a mouse to compete with the comfortable shape of my 5-yr old Anker vertical mouse, only with low travel and quiet clicking buttons.
@@Aaron_Lesse I feel like the Lift has pretty low travel, feels lower than the travel on the MX 3 mouse. I will say though that for people with larger hands, the Lift might be a bit too small.
@@DemCrumblies I've got large to extra large hands but I tend to use the claw/fingertip position instead of the palm position so I do wonder if the Lift would still be okay for my use.
@@Aaron_Lesse I consider my hands around medium size and my middle finger extends slightly over the right mouse button. The MX Vertical is what they recommend for medium to large hands, but when I tried it in the store, it felt a bit too big for my hands. Even with a claw position, it might be too small I think.
Yep, I've had that question before and also some people wear it on the left and with the watch dial facing down. Guess I'm strange because I can't get used to wearing on the left hand. Thanks for watching! Btw, I made a quick follow-up video about this mouse because it is possible to get horizontal scroll by using a modifier button, which I didn't know about at the this of this video.
It feels a little smaller for sure, but I have adapted to it quite quickly and prefer it over the MX 3. It's for small to medium sized hands. If your hands are on the larger size, then the only option is the MX Vertical or to use a claw-like grip. Here are my hand measurements for reference: drive.google.com/file/d/1Z07EjqFHsiGFDYoRuyI7gLE6-gnUZ0xh/view?usp=share_link
LOL, there are rechargeable AA batteries. That is the primary reason I want one. When the MX Master's battery degrades, good luck finding a decent replacement. And you have to disassemble the whole mouse. Don't get me started on how much I hate screws under mouse feet... If the Lift had the full functionality of the MX Master, it would have been a perfect mouse.
Yea the Lift would be perfect if it had the fluid magwheel for me. About the MX series, I still wish they would replace the material on it because it starts breaking down if you're a heavy user.
@@DemCrumblies I know what you mean. I have the first one that uses the clutch scroll wheel. I use it all the time for scrolling through huge excel sheets at work.
I realy want a vertical mouse but my hands are to big for the Lift mouse. And the logitech mx vertical is only right handed. Is there any other vertical mouse for left handed people?
Since I got it, I've only been using it for all my work. I actually edited this video using it. I find the position of it more natural for daily use. If you need a lot of custom button mapping, then the MX3 will be best, but I mostly use keyboard shortcuts, so the Lift has been working great for me for video editing.
Keyboards are one area that I'm not really well versed in right now unfortunately, so I couldn't provide a good recommendation 🙁 Let me know how you find it though, if you end up getting it. Btw, I forgot to mention just how much I prefer the quiet clicking when using the lift.
Hey Rubén Dávila, here's a photo of my hand next to the mouse with a ruler: drive.google.com/file/d/1TQDUUCGFMgfs_zA2sXytS92CjVZq6Z-A/view?usp=share_link Let me know if that helps. Thanks for watching my video 🙂
The Logitech Lift is around 133 grams and the MX Master 3 or 3S is around 143 grams. If you use your MX 3S on a flat desk without the mousepad, does it feel easier for you to move it around?
hi, how is about middle button press? I have mx vertical but the middle button press is so heavy. I need the lighter to hold while panning camera (using 3d modelling software)
Hey n vu, the middle click on the Lift feels like I have to apply less pressure than with the MX3 mouse. I haven't used the MX Vertical before, but if it uses the same type of scroll wheel as the MX3, then the Lift requires less pressure to register a click. Btw, dunno if you need a horizontal scroll, but I had another video showing how you can get it on the Lift with a modifier button.
I have no issues with the mousewheel or scrolling. Keep in mind that this mouse doesn't have the super fast mag speed scrolling like on the MX3 series of mouse though due to the vertical angle of the mousewheel.
You might be right about the MX Vertical Brazen NL, but I remember putting my hands on it in the Staples store quickly and it seemed a bit large when compared to this. Maybe if I actually bought it used it for a bit I would have gotten accustomed to it though. Thanks for watching 🙂
can someone please confirm if simple keystrokes like CTRL/CMD+F can be assigned to side buttons? or at least single keys like Backspace, with Options+ and this mouse
@@DemCrumblies last question while I have you. How is the smart scroll wheel compared to hyper scroll like G502, mx master, etc? Is it comparable or close in terms of speed and how fast you can scroll?
@@mishakmusic The scroll wheel is the only area that is really average on this mouse. It scrolls with hard stops. It's quiet, but there's increments as you scroll, no smooth scrolling like on the MX 3 or MX 3S mouse. So while you can try to flick it and scroll, you may just get a page or 1½ pages of scrolling by default since the hard stops slow down any momentum.
external battery is way better than a rechargeable battery. if you have a rechargeable one then eventually the mouse will die and the battery life will drop also if you forget to charge you can't plug a new battery in. If you use an external battery you can swap batteries, and not have to worry about battery degradation, it lasts for 2 years of life.
The biggest complaint I have with all these logitech mice Is their horrible polling rate. Yes, It’s not a gaming mouse but It looks laggy on 165hz monitor and you can’t be precise when selecting something, It’s most noticeable when you trying to adjust the sliders
I'm still living in the year 2000 with my 60 hz monitors lol so I haven't experienced the issue yet. Hopefully they do something exciting this year. Even Dell upped the refresh rate on some of their 60 Hz productivity monitors to 120 Hz for 2024.
I hear you. When I first tried it, I was disappointed by the lack of that smooth fluid scroll wheel, but I have gotten used to it for the comfort factor. I think because the magspeed wheel would be at an angle and due to gravity, they couldn't get it to spin with almost no friction, so we got stuck with a regular scroll wheel. When I use the MX 3S wheel in my second computer, I always miss it when I go back to the Lift on my main computer.
@@DemCrumblies I've been waiting for so long just to buy a newer MX vertical with infinite scroll, but neither this time they did put it... Maybe it's not that easy, like you're saying
Hey Laura, I got the regular version and I use it with Windows. Strange that the smooth scrolling option is missing from the software, but maybe see if this link can help: www.laptopmag.com/articles/logitech-scroll-wheel-not-working-macos-mojave
Lol, that could be quite a fall. It took me about a week to get used to the increased height, so now I don't hit it. Btw, my battery life is still at 95% and it's been a little over a month, so it looks like I'm on track for around 20 to 21 months of battery life, which is close to the 2 years Logitech mentioned. How about your battery life so far?
No macro recording option in the Logi+ software, but they have smart actions where you can set actions once the pointer speed button is pressed to launch specific apps, record keystrokes, change certain system settings, etc.
Hey Nick Karter, you can change DPI settings in the Logi+ Software by adjusting the pointer speed. It doesn't refer to it as DPI. Here is what the Logitech page says "Dpi range: 400-4000 dpi (Fully adjustable with 100DPI increments) Nominal value: 1000 DPI"
I am in between the Lift and the Lift for Mac... No one seems interested in knowing the difference between the two haha besides the Logi Bolt USB Receiver.
Hey Laura, yea I don't believe there should be much of a difference since both Windows and Mac will assign button and scroll functionality in the same way. Check out this Reddit thread: www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/y7uwn3/logitech_lift_for_mac_pc_compatible/ Even the Logitech support person seems to be unsure of any differences. In other Reddit posts, they mention the compatibility will be the same for Windows and Mac if you buy the regular version or the Mac version.
@@DemCrumblies Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that others see the same as me... I will go with the Lift "regular" one because I like pink! And having the USB receiver is definitely a plus.
If you find it too small, you'd have to try their MX Vertical, but for my hand size, I find it quite comfortable and natural. I'm still using mine to this day as my daily driver.
I have both the mx3 at work and mx anywhere 2 at home. The m570 for doing more lengthy cad work and it was fine. I've always figured these were more comfortable. I'll have to try one in store to see how good it fits.
Yea give it a try next time you're in store. I was expecting a long adjustment time, but I took to it right away. It definitely isn't for larger hands though. Btw, do you care about the way the mx3 scrolls? At first I thought it was just a marketing gimmick, but I actually found myself using the fast scrolling a lot.
@@DemCrumblies i like how smooth it is. But actually the fast scroll is a hinderance when doing design work as it can accidentally cause a massive zooming in or out. So i could live without it.
@@tookallyourmoney Makes sense when you're doing CAD work like that. I initially had it set to scroll in increments, but I turned that option off quickly once I gave the smooth scrolling more time. So far that is the only thing I really miss when using the Lift.

Here is how to get horizontal scrolling: th-cam.com/video/ZSvH5Y-4GMg/w-d-xo.html

How much does it weigh?
@@jcap8391 Only 133 grams with the battery inside. The MX Master 3 comes in at 143. Doesn't sound like a big difference, but I definitely notice it. th-cam.com/video/v360WKMQhiA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks one more thing I looked on their Official page and your review but wanted to know if those side buttons are customizable. Not just for up and down. The ones by thumb.

This review was so good I kept coming back to watch it all over again. Well done dude!
Glad it was helpful Dele. Thank you for watching my video 🙂
How is it 1 year later? Would you recommend?
really a great review, I wanted to ask you something that I didn't understand: can the scroll wheel button be customized with a customizable function when pressed? Thanks again.
Thanks for watching : ) Yep, the middle button can be customized to perform actions, such as launching programs, switching applications, task view, keyboard shortcuts, media controls, etc.
@@DemCrumblies ok thank you very much, very kind
A great and accurate comparison and brief review between these two also great devices. Thank you!
Hey Sei, I'm glad it was helpful. I still use the Lift as my main mouse on my work computer and the MX 3 for when I do editing.
Hi,
Thanks to you for this awesome comparison.
Thanks for adding that Marko, and yes, this feels so much more comfortable and natural in the hand compared to the MX3.
I would pay pretty much anything to get the magnetic scrolling on the lift.
That's a fine job with the review, sir. Congratulations!
Thank you so much for the kind words Andre! Glad the review was helpful. Thanks for watching 🙂
Nice mouse review man, now I really want to try a vertical mouse starting from the Lift..
And nice vostok 👍🏼
Thanks Cakra! I'm impressed you recognized the Vostok, I didn't think too many people were aware of that brand. I'm still using the Lift, it makes it hard to go back to a normal mouse now.

Good review. Btw why do you wear your watch on the wrong hand?
Thanks for watching. Yea I know most wear it on the left and sometimes on the inside wrist, but my since my right hand is dominant, my eyes just naturally go there whenever I want to check the time and I'm doing any activity like using my mouse, camera, drill, etc.
I hava little doubt about the size but you demonstrate easily it's ok. Thank you
Yes, for small to medium sized hands, it's perfect.
And thanks for helping me see that I had a horrible generated TH-cam handle :-)
A replaceable battery is going to make me very happy.
Happy to help ☺️ Yea, it'll have good longevity being able to always keep a charge. I'm still using it 95% of the time for daily work. Great so far.
You can do vertical scrolling with shift + horizontal scroll wheel
@DemCrumbliesTech what would you recommend, the MX master 2s or the Lift for the same price?
Hey Pete, sure I actually took a photo: drive.google.com/file/d/1Z07EjqFHsiGFDYoRuyI7gLE6-gnUZ0xh/view?usp=sharing
My middle finger extends just slight past the right mouse button, but it doesn't really affect me since I adapted pretty quickly.
Kinda late to the party, but I have to say, this video helped me to decide the right mouse for me. Thanks!
Glad it helped Marko! I'm still loving using the lift. I just wish scroll wheel was a bit more fluid. Thanks for watching 🙂
Good video, but I think you should have showed the M4 and M5 buttons for the thumb, because they are not quiet. I don't use them as much as the other buttons so it's not too bad, but for a mouse that's supposed to be silent it's kind of dissapointing.
Yep you're right, that could be a dealbreaker for some. It's strange they overlooked those buttons to that extent.
You adjust to it
May I ask what the length of your hand is? Also, does it feel like your hand is falling off the mouse at all while you're using it?

Love how quiet the lift is
Yea, once you get used to the quiet clicks, it's hard to go back to loud clicks.
Who wears watch on a right hand? :-) Thanks for a great review.
Does it feel small for your hand compared to the MX Master 3?

Since I got it, I've only been using it for all my work. I actually edited this video using it. I find the position of it more natural for daily use. If you need a lot of custom button mapping, then the MX3 will be best, but I mostly use keyboard shortcuts, so the Lift has been working great for me for video editing.

Guru, what is the weight of both the mice?
The Logitech Lift is around 133 grams and the MX Master 3 or 3S is around 143 grams. If you use your MX 3S on a flat desk without the mousepad, does it feel easier for you to move it around?
White color is really beautiful but I'm afraid it's easy to get dirty in the future
Yes, it is definitely easy to get dirty later. Unless you clean it regularly with a damp cloth, it will get discolored.
hi, how is about middle button press? I have mx vertical but the middle button press is so heavy. I need the lighter to hold while panning camera (using 3d modelling software)
Hey n vu, the middle click on the Lift feels like I have to apply less pressure than with the MX3 mouse. I haven't used the MX Vertical before, but if it uses the same type of scroll wheel as the MX3, then the Lift requires less pressure to register a click. Btw, dunno if you need a horizontal scroll, but I had another video showing how you can get it on the Lift with a modifier button.
*Bro, any issues in scrolling and wheel?*
I have no issues with the mousewheel or scrolling. Keep in mind that this mouse doesn't have the super fast mag speed scrolling like on the MX3 series of mouse though due to the vertical angle of the mousewheel.
Excellent review. For your hands, though, I think the MX Vertical is a better choice.
You might be right about the MX Vertical Brazen NL, but I remember putting my hands on it in the Staples store quickly and it seemed a bit large when compared to this. Maybe if I actually bought it used it for a bit I would have gotten accustomed to it though. Thanks for watching 🙂

Yea both options have advantages. As long as the mouse lasts for a while, swapping batteries is great.
Why... why even this time they didn't use magspeed scrool wheel like on anywhere or master... this new smartwheel isn't enough
Yea, hopefully they can work something out in a newer version.
wonder why logitech didn’t include the super fast scrolling on the vertical one?
The vertical one doesn't have the magspeed scrolling due to the angle of the scrollwheel.
money.... they will release it for future upgrade
That’s definitely a funky looking mouse
Yep, that it is, but really comfortable too.
Ayy I see myself at 7:00 on Instagram!!
hi! Did you get the mac version of the regular? I got the mac one but I can't see the smooth scrolling option on the software. Thanks :)
Hey Laura, I got the regular version and I use it with Windows. Strange that the smooth scrolling option is missing from the software, but maybe see if this link can help: www.laptopmag.com/articles/logitech-scroll-wheel-not-working-macos-mojave
9:55 so true for this. I'm on a standing desk and my mouse has so many dents and dings because I kept flicking it off my desk 😭
How about your battery life so far?
so no macro function?
No macro recording option in the Logi+ software, but they have smart actions where you can set actions once the pointer speed button is pressed to launch specific apps, record keystrokes, change certain system settings, etc.
this doesnt have DPI settings?
Hey Nick Karter, you can change DPI settings in the Logi+ Software by adjusting the pointer speed. It doesn't refer to it as DPI. Here is what the Logitech page says "Dpi range: 400-4000 dpi (Fully adjustable with 100DPI increments)
Nominal value: 1000 DPI"
How is lag in that mouse?
Hey Ace PT, I use it everyday for work and there is no lag that I can detect. However, I haven't used it for gaming.
Does anyone have experience with using this mouse with 3D software (Blender, Houdini FX etc.)?
I am in between the Lift and the Lift for Mac... No one seems interested in knowing the difference between the two haha besides the Logi Bolt USB Receiver.
Hey Laura, yea I don't believe there should be much of a difference since both Windows and Mac will assign button and scroll functionality in the same way. Check out this Reddit thread: www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/y7uwn3/logitech_lift_for_mac_pc_compatible/
Even the Logitech support person seems to be unsure of any differences.
Good choice. I actually wanted to try the pink too, I love the pastel type of look.
This lift is the most unconfortable thing I ever hold,..I really don't know for who this was designed.
If you find it too small, you'd have to try their MX Vertical, but for my hand size, I find it quite comfortable and natural. I'm still using mine to this day as my daily driver.
MX Vertical is shitty, has limited functionality
Wish they had a scroll wheel on the side as well
I remember trying the MX Vertical in store and I found it a bit large for me and not as ergonomic as the lift.
