in this case i suggest to completely take down the cooler, clean it and change the thermal paste...i'm with the hdd...i think it's time to upgrade because i think this console is still capable i enjoy her too much
@@RonsTechHub my Xbox one S hard drive seems to have failed and won’t boot up anymore. Doing some research and googling looks like One S only supports SATA II so upgrading to an SSD is not very beneficial.

Great video but the thing that comes with the ssd is definitely not for dampening sound an ssd doesnt have moving parts.

It would be NTFS, howeer when installing the OS it will format it to the file system it needs to once it can detect it.

I will lean towards sata 3 simly because of the release date of the One S.
Sata 3 came out in 2009.
The One S came out in 2016.

The OS installer looks for 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB drives as those are the sizes that Microsoft put into the Xbox One S.

Not at all, mine has been working since I did this upgrade, no issues at all.

The update went well but xbox is not reading a cd now the drive is working. Is it common? If so what might be the solution?
