If pronouns have been so important to be fluid why has this not been an issue throughout history?

I do not wish to engage in a fight or argue with you about this topic, because that would not be helpful to either of us. But if this is a genuine question, i do believe colonialism is a large contributing factor towards this phenomenon. Whilst the gender binary is the most accepted understanding in many western societies, in many other cultures and belief systems, there has always been a historical evidence suggesting that having more than two genders/gender diversity/gender fluidity was accepted in society. I truly believe much of the collision in beliefs has arose due to increased globalisation and interdependence between people of different cultures, it’s not that it “hasn’t been an issue” or gender diversity didn’t exist until recently, it’s that now we have the means to hear of different people’s opinions and identities at the click of a button, and we are constantly being crowded with information. Obviously there are going to be variations in this belief, but gender is scientifically known to be a social construct (there’s great literature out there on gender performativity by judith butler that i enjoy), it is not innate human nature for a man to have stereotypically “masculine” tendencies (like wearing pants instead skirts, or drinking beer over a fruity cocktail), these understandings of masculinity are social constructs that change over time. I mean, 300 years ago pink was the boys colour and men wore skirts and makeup. The things people are accepting of change and they differ between cultures, so the argument of “why has it not been an issue throughout history” does not make any sense.

Unpopular Opinion: If anyone's got a problem with anyone telling you something, don't talk to them. And well you might feel whatever you want to feel and think the same way, but you cannot and shall no force your thinking upon others! Not a leftist, neither right, just a classical liberal!

I went in to this video open minded but when you started to speak about neo pronouns you lost me. I strongly disagree with people being able to randomly make strange pronouns and basically creating new language on the spot. Respect is something you earn not automatically entitled too. I think there should be some fundamental rules to this and the absence of them will hurt us as a species but thank you for the talk nevertheless. You have really body language and presentation skills :)

I identity as a genderfluid non binary pansexual polyamorous alien. My pronouns , and idendity, are fluid and change from day to day, or sometimes from hour to hour, depending on my mood. On monday between 9 to 11 am, he/they are my preferred pronouns. After 11 am I prefer xe xir xem. Tuesday it's ze zir zim. Wednesday I feel more comfortable with fairy/failyself. Thursays, I identify as a demon, and demon/demonself seem more natural to me. On Friday I identify as a pumpkin, and pumpkin / pumpkinpie self are pronouns I am currently exploring. I am battling to get my colleagues to respect my daily pronoun fluidilty, and this is hampering my ability to be my true and authentic self. I am constantly being misgendered in the workplace, them not being mindful of which pronouns to use on a particular day, or hour, which is making me feel unsafe.
I am finding this misgendering hurtful and offensive , and it is causing me great emotional trauma , this misgendering has alreay caused me to suffer from PTSD. Do you have any advise on how the educate my collegues and company I work for, on how to be more diverse and inclusive.

This is a problem for narcissistic attention seekers only. And the best thing you can do for them is refuse their pronouns. They LOVE being the victim so you're doing them a favour. The more you accept, the harder they have to push to be a victim so just put them in their place now and they'll happily stay there.
