If they get a smaller team, who is familiar with the system already, who can port it over, and use the middleware engine to get it running, it could be possible.
It might happen. Maybe after Toys for Bob is completly done with the Switch port of N. Sane, since they handled the Switch port of this one.
Or maybe Vicarious Visions can return the favor and port Reignited to Switch after Toys for Bob ported N. Sane. You never know what will happen.

csaj egy ember It's a remake. It was completely redone from scratch on a new engine with completely new coding. A remaster is the same game only touched up, like Final Fantasy X and X-2.

Plans for ultimate were already made in December 2015 (aka when Crash was not on the switch). So we may not see Crash on the release day but possibly if they do another ballot and he wins the vote

Probably not, since the roster was most likely finalized in December 2015, which was before the N Sane Trilogy was officially revealed, and probably before a Switch port was even considered.
...Though I suppose this might make him a decent contender for DLC.
this means nothing in terms of smash, he still has the same chance as he did before.
Dad_Shoes Clone characters like Dark Pit definitely are added late in development but I'm not sure about a completely unique character like Crash. The only instance that I'm aware of where that happened was with Sonic in Brawl, but that was just because Sega refused at first but changed their minds last minute. But that forced the entire game to be delayed, and they had a lot of Sonic's moves just having him curl into a ball to simplify the process of implementing him. I guess it's possible that December 7 wasn't originally the release date and they pushed it back to that date so they could add Crash or some other recent character they might want to include, but I dunno bout that.

A part of me wanted to argue against this, but then I remembered that Solid Snake and Cloud Strife made it, and I'd argue they contributed more to PlayStation's identity than Nintendo's, so you know what? I'm not gonna rule out Crash entirely.

If not being exclusive was enough to keep them out, we wouldn't have Mega Man, Sonic, Pac-Man, Snake, Cloud, heck, not even Bayonetta would be in since her series started on PS3 and Xbox 360, and the first game has been released on PC, even if her future installments are Nintendo-exclusive.
I won't be holding my breath for Crash, but it doesn't mean it cannot happen. I do agree it isn't likely, but it's not impossible.
higher flower Ubisoft is French, and Rayman was a trophy in Smash 4. If Rayman is added as a playable character, then Ubisoft will break the mold too, which is likely considering their partnership
I loved playing Crash on the PS1 and it was my first game that I got for my PlayStation. Definitely glad that the trilogy is coming to Switch.
I know crash has been on nintendo consoles before, but to see the mascot holding a switch, the same mascot shouting in front of nintendo hq all those years ago is pretty insane (pun unintended)

Crash is looking a lot less plastic-y last time we saw Switch footage of the game it seems, nice improvement.

Icy Kirby yea i dont mind mostly, but it does depend, like dragon quest 11 for example, it looks so beautiful and i just cant play that game looking any worse and i cant wait an extra year to play it on top anyways...but with dark souls remastered for example i kind of can, plus it looks close enough...it just kind of depends, same with a sprawling game, like say red dead 2, if it got a switch port and half the foilage missing kind of like skyrim had half of the forests, sometimes stuff like that breaks immersion for me as it can feel barren/less lush...crash and spyro are games i grew up on and they are brought back fully remade and i dont want cheap texture less fur and for them to play worse than the ogs of course too, ill have to see some comparisons, but yea watching it it kind of seemed off from what i have seen on ps4

its come to my attention that Activision doesn't give a crap about switch and it only took one employee to show them crash running on switch for Activision to give the OK for a Switch port, this definitely worries me about spyro. there was that one leak but i'm still worried if we'll get any other Activision support

I have been waiting for this game on Switch for about a year now and I ready preordered it! I am also very surprised at how much they improved the graphics when it still looked ok back at the Direct and the two minutes of gameplay (wi th now a fur texture). So excited for Friday!
