  • In this video I explore the key elements of what made Oppenheimer such an astounding film. Exploring how the screenplay generates engagement, as well as discussing lots of other aspects of the film, from the acting to story's themes.
I hope you enjoy this breakdown, and follow for more!
    Thank you for watching!

I thought it was a fairly balanced movie which I enjoyed , Downey was great , Blunt was great, Damon was great , Murphy was great , if I had one criticism was the amount of cinematic tricks Nolan used

OMG! I'm still not able to articulate why I'm captivated by this "boring" movie. It shouldn't work and yet it does. The ost carries most of it though.

Yeah this movie despite the odds of it not working, does in fact work incredibly well! And I agree, the score is spectacular - anything by Ludwig Goransson usually turns out great!
      Thanks for watching!

Although nearly three hours too long, "Oppenheimer" is one of Hollywoods BEST! It's right up there with "The Three Stooges Go Around the World in a Daze"!!

Agreed! I've never seen the movie you mention there - I'll add it to my list. Thanks for the recommendation, and for watching my video! :)

A very interesting review - thank you. But why do you pronounce the word "nuclear" as though it's spelled "nucular"? I've been puzzled for years as to why Americans do this, and now a Brit doing it too? I don't get it. Please do elaborate! You did it twice during the video.

Thank you! Good question - clearly I watch too many American films haha! You are right though, grammatically speaking it should be nuclear, thanks for pointing that out I'd never noticed that before!
Thanks for watching my video too! :)

Any attempt at analysis of any piece of media, first one must know what is being spoken of. For example, he begins by saying the most important moment. The fact that he does not know the term “dramatic structure,” his description is so clumsy as to make no sense. But mostly, there is no excuse for mispronouncing the word “nuclear.” He does this constantly. Each time, he says “nucular.” NUCULAR? It’s like saying Eye-ran or Eye-rac. Does he think he’s George W. Bush who mispronounced “nuclear” into “nucular” just to hide his true Connecticut background. The mispronunciation of NUCULAR is a sign of illiteracy. This speaker is illiterate.
