A real class act by the interviewer Jacqueline Coley. She knew the relevant details about the movie as well as Oppenheimer's life and posed topical, meaningful, and intelligent questions that kept everyone interested, all while switching effortlessly from one person to another. Overall, she struck a fine balance giving everyone their moment in the sun, without letting anyone overpower or dominate the conversation. Those are some of the smartest people in the room and to hold their own against them in something they've worked on is phenomenal. Quality stuff!
i was just going to comment something like this right now... the interviewer did a fantastic job. and i think the actors and nolan appreciated her as much as we enjoyed the video. Great job Fandango!
One of the most erudite and skillful interviewers gaining respect and confidence from the artists and opened up the conversation as if there's no fourth wall. Great job, Jacqueline Coley.
“Tragic and beautifully human.” Matt Damon was so engaged in this interview. Loved the exchange and the interviewer asked thoughtful questions and gave them space to respond.
Yeah, indeed. I also noticed that phrase. Matt Damon was actually inspired talking about the movie. I think a good part of it was how confortable they felt with the interviewer. She was fastastic and he completely opened up..
As a long time fan of his, I am SO glad he finally got his dues. Hope to see him in much more big blockbusters because his acting in general - even being a "side" actor is a standout.
I've seen all of his films and he is a beast. He can play any character and he is remarkable. He deserves this and I'm just so excited 😍 I'm gonna watch this movie at least 10 or 15 times to show my support for cilly ❤ My fav actor 💗
I've watched some of the Oppenheimer interviews and in all Robert Downey is just praising Cillian and Chris. He's so excited and happy as if he's founded the joy of cinema. I believe Matt and Emily feel the same. And something tells me there will be more collaborations in future between Robert and Chris.

She is a fantastic interviewer. The depth of her questions showed a level of understanding and intelligence that matches the scale of the people she is interviewing. Bravo.
Very. His films have been pre-text to real world issues before. Dark knights foreign policy. Inception and Interstellar have influences culture far more than people realize. The guy lays foundations for others to build and I think that’s part of it

You can see the respect in the cast members' eyes for Chris Nolan; they are honored to be a part of this. Nolan has already established himself as one of the finest directors of all time. 🔥🔥

Never have I witnessed such a great interview for a movie. This interviewer found the right balance, sustained engagement and respect for the subject and cast in such a professional and considered way. One can even feel the respect the cast and Nolan have for the conductor of this conversation. Well done - I could watch this type of interaction all day! Jacqueline Coley you deserve the greatest success!
Jacqueline Coley deserves an award for this interview! One of the most brilliant interviews I have ever seen. The way she led this in such an intelligent, funny and concise way... Amazing film with an outrageous cast.
What a great interviewer! She's erudite, she's asking very interesting questions while at the same time giving everyone enough space to go into the details and everyone has their time to shine. Brilliant!
Kudos to the interviewer Jacqueline Coley for asking incredibly deep and entertaining questions. This by far the best cast interview I've ever seen. They are so professional, courteous & respectful of each others comments & space. Their love of this film and for Christopher Nolan is palpable.
I feel as if Cillian being a supporting actor in a lot of Nolan's films were just stepping stones. Nolan waiting for the perfect opportunity to cast him in a leading role. That time has come, and I cannot see anyone else who can portray Oppenheimer. I can sense awards/critical acclaim for Cillian's performance in what I think is going to be one of, if not, Nolan's best film to date.
Great movie but was extremely slow paced. If the screen time was cut down by by 30 minutes, it would have been brilliant. Few scenes were too bland and slowed down the film.
I saw this film two nights ago and I am STILL awestruck at how brilliant ALL the performances were but I must say that Robert Downey Jr is superb!! HE MUST get an Oscar for this role as well as Cillian as Oppenheimer!! LOVE this movie!!!!!!
I absolutely loved the interviewer and Matt Damon here !!! The enthusiasm both of them exhibited for the movie (her while asking astute and sharp questions and Matt while answering them)during the interview is infectious and clearly shows how invested all of them are... Matt's line of answering is captivating and forces the audience/viewers to think. Absolutely loved it.
You can probably find thousands of comments saying how good the interviewer was, but damn! She killed it. So sharp, not awkward, kept the conversation going. I see in so many other interviews that the cast is almost falling asleep being asked the same boring questions. Good job Jacqueline, you did so freaking good. Best interview I have ever seen in a long time.
Murphy is outstanding in the film. It was a big ask to spearhead this ambitious film and Cillian made it look like it was the most natural thing for him. RDJ was a standout also. The cast, in general, was absolutely perfect.
This interview had everything, above all else class. She constructed it so well. The actors and Chris responded well. RDJ is a superb actor. He was overlooked for Chaplin, so hopefully this will bring his much deserved oscar and accolades, as well as the rest of the cast and crew. Would love to see him work together on more projects with Chris Nolan
This movie was excellent. Cillian was fantastic and Downey Jr gave a masterful performance and deserves a Supporting Actor nom if not win. One of Nolan's best and another masterpiece under his belt.
Your interview skills, demeanor, professionalism & your ability to not being awe struck are amazing. I hope you have an amazing career. Well done Jacqueline!
Christopher Nolan is nothing short of brilliant. Every time an actor/actress talks about him it’s always positive. I’m very excited to see Nolan and the rest of the cast take over the cinema world again.
Oppenheimer is a movie made by a master in complete control of his art. It is a colossal movie. Made by people that care about films. Amazing experience.
Cillian Murphy should win an Oscar for this performance, I saw the movie yesterday, he blew away Matt Damon, and Robert Downey on the screen, what a talent!
one of my favourite interviews ever. u can just tell how passionate the cast is about this film and its so enjoyable to listen to them talk and laugh. the interviewer asked rly thought provoking questions and its just brilliant
Great actors & still not having ego that they’re not the lead but the support of Cillian’s oppenheimer shows us the kind of respect Nolan has in the filmmaking industry. Not many filmmakers of the world have this respect that oscar winning lead actors want to support another person in the lead.
Nolan wants us to stay informed and knowledgable. We want to be challenged by cinema at its very best. Masterpieces/ genius. Intellectual, instinctual and emotional.
This interview is a brilliant example of wise facilitation of the group conversation by the interviewer, and every person respecting every other's space and spotlight. Total harmony and a natural flow of discussions. Beautiful.
I have been a fan of Downey for years. Incredible actor. Loved him in Marvel, that Tony Stark performance is everything. That is done now. I would like him to be in more movies, like this one. He deserves MUCH more credit. He has the actitud and the talent. He should be way more succesfull that he is now.
What I love about this cast in interviews is that you could see the much love and respect they have for each other and they make each other laugh, which is the most important thing I ask for in a coworker 😂
Jacqueline Coley take a bow! What an amazing interview, great questions and taking the time to talk to each person with so much knowledge & understanding, absolutely brilliant! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Just saw this in 70mm. Incredible. One of the most beautiful films. We can only hope for many biopic imitators. Amazing performances, Cillian is almost perfect in this role. Matt Damon plays a general, he's great, but it is Matt Damon playing a general.
What a great interviewer - she really elevated this conversation but kept it light and fun. Wow, the space between her words to capture the raw reactions of the actors themselves is so enjoyable. Way better than the typical press junket 10 minutes of rapid fire questions you often see online.
This interviewer should have a podcast if she doesn’t already, would do so much better than the majority of interview style podcasters these days. She’s an absolute pro
I don't think I've ever seen a better movie cast interviewer than this who has such an obvious love for movies and let's the artists speak. I really hope we see more of her.

I really hope more interviewers take a page from her book and understand that people are not entertained by triggering disrespectful interviews. @@tomascech6772 I disagree completely. Downey was fantastic, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a supporting nom for the role. Damon handled the "I don't give a damn what people think of me" general perfectly.

Cilian is just calmness. He seems to be at peace, which is so difficult to find these days. People are always in a mess, lost in thoughts etc. but look at Cilian❤️ bless him
I found the interviewer Jacqueline absolutely brilliant - intelligently constructed questions delivered in such a tactful yet honest way!
Edit: Now that I am comment-famous - I'd like to say I really would like Chris Nolan to appear on Lex Fridman. I think that would be a top-notch interview.
Yes yes yes! I couldn't agree more. Jacqueline is one of the best!
So well researched, thoughtful, articulate, directed. Best film interview I’ve seen in a long time.
SHE IS A STAR
She is really good

It's really exciting to see Robert Downey Jr. working under Nolan's orders, and finally taking a role at the level of his talent.
I mean... I'm also happy he's working with Nolan but the man has played Chaplin and Sherlock Holmes, and he was in Zodiac under Fincher. His talent has been put to work already.
@@gokham33 everyone already knew he was good since air america, for Cillian everyone has known he was good since sunshine, but it took Chris to finally make the point.
@@123Andersonev yeah Cillian hasn't been given the chance, only in Peaky Blinders kind of, but Downey Jr. has tons of work to prove his talent, he don't need Nolan to do that

I love how Matt Damon wants to talk about the movie. Not like someone who took part in creating this masterpiece, but as spectator watching it from the sidelines. Amazing movie, cast, even sound effects. I’m so impressed, saddened and in love with this story at the same time.
It’s been touched on in the comments, but Damon’s so underrated at promoting a film, telling a story that reels you in, relating that past story to now, and leaving you more excited than before for a film. A huge part of being a movie star, like cruise, is even making press junkets come alive like this one. Credit to an incredible interviewer as well! This was a treat.
What a marvellous interviewer - she brought out the very best responses and enthusiasm from the actors and the director. It sounds like an amazing film!

Great comment! I so agree.
He should really try advertising crypto.
The interviewer totally knocks the interview out of the park. So well done how she pulled each actor as well as the director into the interview. Has to be the best interview I have ever seen.
Couldn't agree more. She knocked it completely out of the park. Exceptional interviewing.
I thought so too. Really good interviewer
Definitely the best I've seen
Right?! She is PHENOMENAL!!!!!
You can so easily see how much she genuinely cares and is interested in what they all have to say, and is excited to pick their brains about this film. It’s fun and fresh
That's how Interview is supposed to be. The Interviewer absolutely killed it. So classy, respectful, knowledgable about what she is saying. Enjoyed every second!
So you want all the interview in this world to be like this? And then when 1 other type of interview came out, you'll start saying that this type of interviews are boring.
matt damon, despite being on the film itself, looked more excited than us, he was so happy and enthusiastic to explain the movie/experience
Honestly, I think he's glad to have made a film that won't be a box office bomb.
@@Tao_Tology Maybe, but he's had major successful films every few years for his entire career.

Well said yourself!!!
beautifully said! i love watching a really great interview!
She also allowed them to talk which is important because I've noticed some talk show hosts talk over their guests.
Well said! I 100% agree!
One of the most erudite and skillful interviewers gaining respect and confidence from the artists and opened up the conversation as if there's no fourth wall. Great job, Jacqueline Coley.
“Tragic and beautifully human.” Matt Damon was so engaged in this interview. Loved the exchange and the interviewer asked thoughtful questions and
gave them space to respond.
Yeah, indeed. I also noticed that phrase. Matt Damon was actually inspired talking about the movie. I think a good part of it was how confortable they felt with the interviewer. She was fastastic and he completely opened up..
Everyone is in love and awe of Cilian Murphy's performance.
Have you seen it?
As a long time fan of his, I am SO glad he finally got his dues. Hope to see him in much more big blockbusters because his acting in general - even being a "side" actor is a standout.
I've seen all of his films and he is a beast. He can play any character and he is remarkable. He deserves this and I'm just so excited 😍
I'm gonna watch this movie at least 10 or 15 times to show my support for cilly ❤ My fav actor 💗

It’s amusing how Matt Damon is very excited and telling his feelings nonstop 😂.. what a great consistent interview
I hope so..Robert's so great and was so happy to see him as part of this amazing ensemble.

She is a fantastic interviewer. The depth of her questions showed a level of understanding and intelligence that matches the scale of the people she is interviewing. Bravo.

She is terrible. Talks too much. We want to hear from the cast not the interviewer who would use 20 workds when 5 would do.

Omg. What are you smoking?
the way matt answers really opens my eyes. you can see the amount of thought he gave into the actual emotion of the film
What a great interviewer! She's erudite, she's asking very interesting questions while at the same time giving everyone enough space to go into the details and everyone has their time to shine. Brilliant!
Never feel inclined to comment but this interview is the pinnacle of interviews. Absolutely stunning. Masterclass. Can’t wait to see the film.
Just like Matt, so we’re up for a leading role for him in the future.
Inception, The Dark Knight Series and The Prestige are his best films. This is very low on the list. Tenet is bottom.
Matt’s enthusiasm here is contagious. Great interviewer ❤

You can see how intellectually passionate they are about this project. I can’t wait to see it in the theater.
Actors at the top of their game. What a great interview and conversation
Great to see Cillian get this role. As a fellow Irish lad I'm so proud of our artists. Maith an fear a Cillian.
