The way you worked pedals and loop pedals, fuzz boxes and just got it all together in a live performance was magnificent. this video doesn't reflect the live brilliance you could perform with a handful of modestly priced equipment to preform such a full sound. Truly a standout of your time, using the best equipment that live performances could have. And making it SING!

Over a decade later, and this is still one of my all-time favorites--in both audio and video. There are so many layers to the audio--I can listen on repeat and not get bored. I really like it when they're both singing towards the end. The video is genius in its simplicity, proof that all you need for a good video is talent, not grand special effects--though good looks doesn't hurt, of course, and those are in good supply here, too. 🙂

I saw them perform this song live along with "Shut Up & Let Me Go" and "Be The One" at the Apple Store SoHo in New York City back in 2007. They gave a free mini-concert when these songs were brand new and were freshly promoting their "We Started Nothing" album. It was only 40-50 of us in the audience, and was before any of these song blew up on radio, they were just circulating on music blogs at the time. I FEEL OLD NOW, lol.

I wish lyric sites would put second/backing vocal lyrics with the main lyrics. They are such an essential part of the song. I can't picture this song without his part any more than I could imagine T'Pau's Heart and Soul without both the song and the background poetic rap together.

I saw them perform this song live along with "Shut Up & Let Me Go" and "Be The One" at the Apple Store SoHo in New York City back in 2007. They gave a free mini-concert when these songs were brand new and were freshly promoting their "We Started Nothing" album. It was only 40-50 of us in the audience, and was before any of these song blew up on radio, they were just circulating on music blogs at the time. I FEEL OLD NOW, lol.
