Early 90s were more of a rejection of this kind of polished music in favor of the grunge style. If this would have been made in the late 90s it would have taken off.

Then all those musical influences get thrown into the pot as a song is written and arranged and recorded... I refer to that process as "making a tune stew"...😆 This song is a perfect and glorious example of this....blending of decades, 60's, 70's and on and on...
