My condolences on the loss of the entire audience’s grandmothers. Their passing, only minutes before this performance, is the only explanation for the somber reception to a great performance. Nona would have wanted you to enjoy yourselves, you twaddles. ,
Jesus, every TH-cam live music clip has some whiny snowflake complaining about the crowd not being into it enough. This is a showcase gig at South by Southwest. Most of the people would have been hearing the Ting Tings for the first time. What do you expect them to do, jump around like teenage girls at a Harry Styles show?
@@Nathan-gd7xq Yeah, a bunch of fan-boys whining that their little crush didnt get a standing O. It's piped in music tracks, might as well be hearing a recording. Here in the States you need to actually play instruments to get the crowd pumped. Pushing play on a track machine isnt as skilled as these fan-boys think it is.
Man, they did give everything in that performance, phenomenal and this is not even my favorite music genre but they are good, respect, too bad this crowd is dead.
4:20 - 5:40 - the song clicks into its powerful mesmerizing section. If you can, turn it loud and then imagine how difficult it would be to hit that peak when you're getting zero energy or "lift" back from the dead-ass audience of posers! The two never stop trying though and in the end they win. They didn't learn "plugging on thru a shit audience" in the studio. Roadwork is what toughens a band.
If I knew this song in 2007 and knew how to sing and was older I would have sang and danced in the crowd as probably the only one besides the people on stage. Godspeed.
Stumbled on these guys by accident last night, the official video of the song, loves it!!! Today I find this version. Most excellent! I'm a huge Blondie/Debbie Harry fan from way back in the early 70s, someone commented below they see some of her in this chick. I see it too, great energy, just enough anger for a song like this! I believe this concert was in Texas.... Apparently Texans don't know quite what to do with English bands..... Got to hand to her, she pounded right on through it like a trooper for a solid 8 min!
'love the way she holds the mic. up at 2.32 and waits for the crowd to fill in the "name. name, name,..." and there's a deathly silence!! great song. lovely band.
I seen them live in Dallas and they were fantastic. They brought one other musician with them so they could reproduce their sound live with very little prerecorded instruments. All I know is the audience loved them and a great time…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Man what I'd give to have been there and I bet a lot of these silent losers wish they had enjoyed it more too, since we're all in quarantine now. That performance deserved so much more.
Eat your heart out Britney!! Absolutely love when an artist sounds the same live and produced! She doesn't hit any high notes but she can still sing her own notes. lol. many "artists" today can't do such amazing things. Alas music today sucks. I so miss when vocals was just that, vocals. Nostalgia for the 90's .
i know this is late, but I love your comment. When I first heard these guys when they first came out w/this song I thought wow, they're going to be big. I think what was happening w/the crowd was they were music shock. They the "Ting Tings" seemed very 80's Indie, which had a lot of great bands and music back then. By the time they came around the "shit" pop music, auto tuned voices were hitting the scene and the hip hop line dancing. "Boring" music. When I watch the crowd the ones that seemed to be dancing were people that too me seemed dressed indie. People don't realize how hard it its to do what the Ting Tings were doing and end up in perfect timing, especially when looping was just hitting the scene w/auto tune. I think if they came out now, they would be super big.
I scrolled through the comments to see if I wasn't the only person who felt as disgusted as the drummer. I'm glad you pointed out his face. What a shame about the crappy venue and crowd... (deep respect to the band though.)
Historically significant moment here (sort of, small history anyway). This was ‘07. The band was months old and they had only just started having some attention at home in the UK. The song/setup is incredibly sparse. From an outside perspective (and knowing that Katie is a banging vocalist but brand new at guitar) they really should have a guitarist, synth person or someone to fill in the gaps and keep things moving. But they turn on the party in their heads. Katie’s vocals and energy kick in and it pulls everything together. It’s a massive feat of swimming upstream against that audience; who probably simply don’t know what’s going on yet or understand what kind of artists these guys are.
Saw these guys at Brixton Academy back in the day (2007/2088 ish I guess?) ..and they were awesome....great energy ...and have to say the crowd that night were a lot more lively than this bunch of geriatrics ..jeez !!
Funny to see fans using portable cameras/Coolpixes to take video of this performance! Omg, even though 2007 doesn't seem like that long ago, we've come so far now with regards to smart phone cameras being the norm now for capturing footage! Crazy!
My condolences on the loss of the entire audience’s grandmothers. Their passing, only minutes before this performance, is the only explanation for the somber reception to a great performance. Nona would have wanted you to enjoy yourselves, you twaddles. ,
Yeah the audience is pathetic. These two gave it their all and the audience has to be deaf!
Indeed. And what a coincidence.
Wait what?
Somber reception to an average song? Sounds about right.
I'm a stupid Yank...please explain?
Absolutely one of the best performances ever given to a funeral home.
Kurt Stallings lmfao!!!
Best comment.
Kurt Stallings I totally agree
.. they're all dead!!!!
lol! how true!
The crowd was grieving a loss of some kind.
Tings Tings brought their spirits up best they could.
Great job by The Ting-a-lings!
Imagine trying to stand still to this!?!?
This one still works!!!!!!!!! Yes!!!! I’m so glad.
All the TH-cam on my TH-cam is not working.
Total respect to Jules and Katie for always giving it 100%. Love their music.
This crowd should just go to the library! Great songs like this produce so much energy!! Feel it or just don’t come
Thats what u get in usa. Boring crowd

The crowd is so boring, I feel for these two fun professionals giving their all.
I LOVE THIS PART OF THE SONG! always get goosebumps
Wow, the crowd wasn't giving them ANYTHING. They definitely deserve better than that.
bunch of zombies there indeed
The audience is not dead, they just need some AC/DC and a red bull.
The audience should not take sleeping pills before a concert.
I thought this was a really good album. I enjoy most things that aren't according to formula and these artists are definitely unique.
Fantastic band! I would of loved to seen them live
Holy crap, my exact thoughts. Crowd was absolutely dead. What a shame! She didn’t hold back though. Good for her!
Jules and Katie, please know sometimes I play this video 3,4,5 times in a row. Yes!
Performing for dead fish and they still rocked it! 🤩
True performers giving it their best and doing what they do best.
I admit, I thought this song was really tweaked in a studio, but watching them live she is actually singing and sounding really good.
Yes, you're right, she sounds great!
@@philomenamuinzer4805 Audience left something to be desired.
@@antonystringfellow5152 Too bloody right! Excellent performance.

They really give it their all on this song... shame she forgot to cancel and play the loop but she made up for it.

Where is this crowd from? I listen to this almost everyday since a few weeks ago.
I am upset with this crowd.
I would have been the only one in the crowd rocking out and banging my head. This song is so cool!
I'm absolutely amazed at the talent these 2 possess.
They gave the audience far more than they deserved
This is the most important song in my life right now. It traveled with me to the hospital and continued through the forever. Godspeed.

Wow, they are really good live!!
There is something magnetic, vulnerable, dangerous, and electric about The Ting Tings.
The drummers expression at the end said it all.
True.
I love this girl! I can’t get enough of this song!
Katie and Jules. Fantastic talent on display here.
This group is amazing and true to themselves and the music they love and live !
I was at this show! I had no idea this video existed. I was hooked after that show.
I love her so much!!!!
Those couple created something unique & beautiful
Come on ppl.. Help her out!
The Ting Tings are electric ⚡️
I Love Love Just You
What a fun song :)
First saw this song as a music video when I was in Hard Rock Cafe in Caser's palace in Las Vegas with my mom. It caught my attention
Magnificent performance as the star turn in this year’s lobotomy convention
I love the chemistry between Jules and Katie when he starts drumming to establish the beat and she gives him the signal to go into the song
I seen them live in Dallas and they were fantastic. They brought one other musician with them so they could reproduce their sound live with very little prerecorded instruments. All I know is the audience loved them and a great time…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
love the song, love Katie
So *that’s* her name! Thx
Omg I used to her when I was in high school!
I almost forgot her !!!
You gotta love the British. She's cool as f###, Love this girl, since seeing them on Saturday Night Live January 2023
A super cool professional performance under trying circumstances. Happy to pay good money to see that
Love the Ting Tings , Brilliant, what can I say? Love you....
Not absolute perfection but a fantastic version of the song. Played with energy and passion and that's what it needs to be. Love them. Lousy crowd.
Holy shit the audience is on fire
The one guy getting hype in the crowd is living.
Passion wow
that's really pretty good music
fecking killer drum kit sound is bang on the money

I moved to Austin 11 years ago for the music and greenbelts. Typical hipster Austin crowd, too cool to enjoy it. Dissappointing.
@@jillmeredith2012 I'm in Denton now and I guarantee a crowd up here would have loved this show.
Arrogant crowd

Nostalgia for the 90's...lol
It's like playing at a funeral parlor whilst trying to wake the dead. lol
people freakn wake up! You're missing a good time and an awesome performance!!

Like a load of spice zombies. Fair play to her for keeping the energy up, I love this song........ and she's so cute!
7:40 "Come on, help us out!"
Audience: "No."
😂
they call me Tuna, but she can call me anytime.I got a guuitar and drums too, love the TINGTINGS
Such a good song
LOVE THIS TUNE
Drummer´s face at the end says all.
"FFS."

He looks pis**d, doesn't he?
Love the drums in this longer version
Easily one of the coolest bands 2day such an edgy vibe especially live.
Love this version even better than the short version...
Shades of Debbie Harry. Amazing and underrated band
I felt Debbie Harry from her in other videos as well.
I don't think there is ANYTHING about her that is like Debbie Harry, except two hanks of very blonde hair. Her voice is less laid-back.
Holy crap! What a bomb crowd.
Magnetic beat nicely done, I feel sorry for them the crowd were just dull. How could you not want to let go and enjoy? Cue the trolls ✊
この曲、良く生で歌えるなぁ・・・、すごい!
Compare to today's live performance this is the best ......lot of artists made me hate auto tune
stuck in my head now
More energy from the two people on stage than in the whole crowd (who couldn't light up a 20-watt light bulb between them).
무대 너무 매력적임 ㅎㅎ
Had this happen to me when I saw the Pretenders decades ago on a Sunday night They walked off the stage after a couple of songs. Felt totally gypped
Great song and performance. Lame crowd though.
they most likely know its being video taped, maybe even instructed. not many ppl want to be seen going nuts.
2:31: I Can't Hear "ame, ame, ame"
Typical hipster Austin crowd. Boring and pretentious.
some people in the back got it, probably the crew.
Still love this
Brilliant!
So chill.
That drum beat kicks so much ass !
2021: I listen to every version every day and make my own lyrics. GF ask me "are you listening again? Me: Yup, that's not my name
I love how almost no one says "name" when she points the microphone at the audience.
Gold! Ahother !
Great Amazing !!!
love this
LOVE....!!!❤❤❤
These guys Astroid galaxy tour and the interrupters would be a dream show.
She can sing 👌🏻
Not my type of music but I’m bopping my head lol
