    This was a great family video. Found your channel a few days ago and have been binge watching your truck build. Keep up the great work. I am from Florida too!👊

    hey man thanks for an amazing review/unboxing/setup tutorial, I was debating on getting this sub set when I get my car, and now I think I will definitely settle on with for a loud, powerful deep boom!

    Any troubles getting the dual kicker box to fit in the truck. Ive had a few of the dual 12 inch kickers in the pre made box but i put them in extended cab pickups. Thinking about buying one for my 2015 civic si coupe but wasn't sure if it goin the the trunk easy. Thats how i ended up here.lol looks like it fits ok once its in but how hard was it to get in the trunk opening?

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They fit very well and have held up great!👍 My nephew uses it daily for school. Honestly, I wish I had more room in my pickup. These two speakers blow away my single 10.

    Does bump harder when it’s face in the backseat of the car?? I know he needed for more space I was just asking

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No Its not a big difference from firing facing the rear. As long as the seats are down the bass bounces off everything in the front and is loud. Its definatly a good budget setup.

    • @thisoldhooptie

      No just a line convertor to connect to the rear speaker wires for the rca connection to the amp. Check in the description all parts are listed. 👍

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  ปีที่แล้ว

      The speakers don't need to work. You need the working rear speaker wire which you can rerun from the back of the radio of they were cut.

      @@thisoldhooptie i have a ported box! The played with the rcas and gain never got good results! At lower volume it would thump but once i turned it up a little higher its like the speaker was cutting put no matter what i had the gain xover or bass boost on

      @@jamesavery915 Could be the amp is bad. Could also be a power issue under full load. If you have a store near, get another amp same wattage then test with it. See if it does the same thing.

    Hey! I recently tried doing something similar to my 2012 Honda Civic lX, and ran into a interesting issue. Is there anyway I could email you about the problem?

      @thisoldhooptie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to keep the information flowing in these comments. It helps others who may run into a similar or the same issues. What did you run into during your installation? I will try and help out if I'm able. Others may also chime in, happens all the time.

    • @aaronjones6783
      @aaronjones6783 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense! We got everything hooked up, and everything works great! Except when we go to close the trunk it makes the loud humming sound that gets louder even if the radio is off

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are we talking about an electronic hum heard through the speakers or a vibrations hum happening in the trunk itself?

    • @aaronjones6783
      @aaronjones6783 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest I’m not sure, when I turn the car on you can hear a very very light static sound with your head up by the speaker head, however when we go to close the trunk the subs begin to hum louder and louder

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds like a ground issue or could be the way you ran the 12v line. First please pull the fuse you installed by the battery for the main power going to the amp. Once removed see if the sound goes away after turning on. If it does lets go over how you ran the power and remote turn on wire to the amp along with where you chose to ground the amp. Let me know

    It surprise me how the young generation are so dumb they dont know anything in life except to use their cell phone. The kid is like uhhh . Huhh!.

    • @thisoldhooptie
      @thisoldhooptie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont believe its just the young. Personally I love having a powerful computer in my pocket. In my line of work it has allowed me to automate things that chained me to my desk in the past. Its also great to bee able to have the knowledge of the world in my hand instantly. But sadly yes for most who want a distraction from life, its just a distraction. Not being biased on this one, my nephew had never been on camera. Takes a try or too to be yourself. This one can hold a conversation and doesn't avoid life on his phone. That is far from the many who I would consider a cell phone zombie.

      @@thisoldhooptie: Tide down to your desktop computer in the past. That's bull shit, people back then had computers and they still were outside doing physical things. If you carry a phone and consider it a computer like you say you do, then why would you need to carry your phone to interact with people or to get thru your daily day in the real world since you claim to have knowledge. 80% of people spend more time in Facebook, Instagram, twitter, snapchat, sna webo, tiktok, youtube and 19% goggle oh and the all famous one is 1% reading your bible. And your telling me that your small computer is teaching you more knowledge than anything else. When you spend 80% more time in social media than google. Really... What happen to the 1%? Oh by the way you take nothing when we die, including your famous cell phone.
      The truth here is that you are in denial and you like to justify things to your advantage but the video speaks for itself. My advise to you next time think first and plan your video so that people dont see your mistake and criticize you in regards to your video but nice try though.
