lever on bar is fast idle , not a choke , wd40 on a rag will get sticker residue off or warm up with hair dryer if it's really stubborn . expect about 150 at wheel on dyno if it's a healthy motor. brakes are not the best but easily upgraded. clocks are from an earlier bike , 99 to 01 had them & it's probably not a limited edition , just a sticker. fuel systems can be moody on the early gen 1 models , budget for changing fuel filters /pipes if any stalling/rough running (not expensive) . Gen 1 can run hot due to only 1 fan on rad , gen 2 have 2. if so , chuck another fan on or fit a cheap fan override (both common & cheap mods) overall looks like you bought a good example that is pretty bulletproof & will do silky miles without breaking sweat . Good luck & welcome to busa ownership
Just bought the same bike a week ago. Our odometer is just about the same. Been flushing all fluids installing braided linesand going through the bike as fast as the new parts ship in. Had a problem with cluch cylinders (master/slave). So rebuilding with the K&L kits. The clutch would engage only when pulled to the grip. NOT FUN! Looking forward to videos 👍🏾
The 'limited edition' is bling, true limited editions will have GSX1300RZ on vin plate. Brakekleen on a rag works wonders on sticker residue. SS brake lines & EBC brake pads make a world of difference. I also did racetech gold valves front & rear
@@BenWilliamson_85 Very Exciting. I've always wanted a Busa but I'm getting too old. Need something a little more upright. I just got a Kawasaki Concours 1400. You would be more than welcome to come have a look at my channel.
G’day Ben nice looking gen 1 you have there you should have some fun there.I guess it depends how far you’d like to go with it. I bought an 07 in 016 it’s done 124000 k’s now so I’ve put 100000k’s it. All the work I have done myself so I found these are great bike to work on. Suzuki put a lot of work on these. If your interested I’ll come back to you with some more info. Cheers BUSA 07
Great bike, I've own a Gen 1 2007 model (Purple aka Grape or something or other lol) Has 93000ks on her and still runs well and hard. Not sure about the 'Limited Edition' plaque...could be an add on?? Enjoy.
The best bike ever made - period!

Thanks mate I can't wait either haha
I've got an '05 and an '08. Best bike on Earth, the 'Busa. 😎

In the states the limited bikes also had painted frames.

I got a 07 that's had some work done to it. Not sure the dyno numbers tho. It was bought from an old drag racer. But super nice bike congrats.
"Gen 1 Hayabusa" is a very peaky engine.
I also have "Gen 1 Hayabusa".
Goop works good for adhesive removal. 06 Busa. Full Brocks, TRE, power comander.
I bought a 07 in 06 no issues to this date
Some wax and grease remover on a microfibre cloth placed on the sticker residue for a few mins will make it easy to remove mate. Good looking bike 👌
Awesome cheers mate 👍
"Würth residue remover" will do the trick.

Thanks mate yeah I think its a random badge someone's added on haha 😄
it's not a choke. its for fast idle switch
Haha thanks!!!
Good to know. I bought a 2007 (last year of the gen 1) and I was wondering the same thing.
Goof off will remove that adhesive
This bike doesn't sound 😳 good. It's need a health check bro . Does sound clean 🤔
The Hayabusa is garbage .. Zx14 is way better.
thats why the busa is a legend and the zx14 isnt.
I'm glad someone said it. All these zx14 guys watching busa vids trying to dog busas, sounds like there mad or something.. BUSA FOR LIFE
