I rode a 2001 Hayabusa for 13 years. Put over 40,000 miles on that bike. Kept it all stock and loved every minute. Same color. It was great for 2-up riding. Awesome low end torque.
I owned 5 hayabusa’s over a 10 year period and went all over the Uk and europe on them - not overtaken once and complete reliability- best bike motor ever!
That is one gorgeous crotch rocket. I had the opportunity to get paid to ride one of these from Texas back to Louisiana. I didn't trust myself with all of that power, so I declined the offer. An old buddy of mine,bought an orange Busa when they first came out in 1999. It was a beautiful monster like this, but this is a nicer bike, with all of the custom parts.
You can buy the Gen3 Busa here in the UK, a mate bought a 2021 bike recently for £13000. I have a 2006 Gen 1, absolutely love it, thing is, despite the bikes power and reputation it's so easy to ride, it's not the complete animal you'd imagine, it will happily cruise about at any speed, the power delivery is so smooth, linear and easy to control. I'd been riding a 2004 GSXR600 for a year (over here in Scotland) when i got the Busa and it's honestly easier to ride than the Gixxer.
Now when i rode out to the Sturgis Rally back in 99, they had a ton of all kinds of new bikes you could test ride, it said rite on the literature that the Hyabusa would do 215 mph rite out of the crate, now im not arguing w you but im just saying what it said, then they decided to tone it down a little lol ..
You really did your research. That's a beauty there. Polished frame and front brakes look awesome. Yea, these bikes have a quite a cult following. Nothing else like a Hayabusa. Rear camera is there for your riding buddy's. "I'll be seeing ya in my camera!" 😀
The one bike I wouldn't drive in a lifetime of motorcycling. A man has to know his limits, and that 1300 would've gotten me into trouble faster than I could get out.

All Are 250-450 New England Expert/Pro/VET Regional titles like NESC 50+, NESX 30+ & 40+, NEMA 450 - GRAND PRIX - 25+ 40+. total Series championships of at least 11 races or 22 motos each. Not including multiple "1 day" championships (i dont count them) like the Northeast Regional Vet Championship. EVERY ONE HANGS IN THE MUSEUM & SHOWROOM. 😊

I have a zx14. The busa killer. Make no mistake, these bikes are heavy and yet somehow seem to defy physics with how hard they pull. Literally melt your face off while weighing so much that you can cruise at 100 on a bumpy interstate without beating up your spine too much
🤣😂. The zx14 is in NO WAY, a so-called "busa killer!" I've seen plenty of "STOCK" busas destroy zx14's. It basically comes down to the rider. And rider only!
Let me know where you can find a new $20,000 Hayabusa for $13,500, I’m interested, for a friend.. I’ll take a used one for $3,500 though, last zx14 I bought was $7k and that was a steal at a Harley dealer 8 years ago.
The fact that they were thinking of banning it in Europe is why I regularly head down to Misquamicut stand on the beach and yell. The Other Side Sucks! Which really caught on I guess and is regularly repeated at the Unadilla Nationals. Weird huh 😂
It really does, so many over here think we need protected from ourselfs, like the V Max, when it finally went on sale in the UK in the early 90's we got the watered down non V Boost version (mine is a 95 import so full power), then they decided in 2000 we could be trusted and gave us the full power version.

My dad daily rode a H2750, I borrowed it a few times back in the 80s. I’d much rather have a ‘busa than a H2750.
