If your on the fence about having Moore Mafia flash your ecu don't hesitate, just had my 18 GSX S1000 done and its an absolute beast now. After 8k rpm it looses its mind. Thanks again Chris and the Moore Mafia Team 👍🤙
Hell yeah ride safe brother
I have a 2016 GSXS 1000 and had it flashed but it was done by someone else 3 years ago and I hadn't heard of Chris at the time and it definitely turned her into a beast like you said....did you get a dyno run and flash with HP #'s or just a mail in? I did the mail in.....I've seen other guys online #'s at 148, 152, 156 and 158 RWHP.
@@razorbak6783 I did the mail in (I'm in tx), they did a dyno on an 18 w/identical mods as I've got. I believe it was 156.6 or 156.8 hp I'd have to look again. I went with the MM flash bc Chris an Mike spend a lot of time with the details of it, I did the research an the only other flash that comes close is Danos in Cali (the Schultz flash is a no-go).
If you go with this flash make sure you have a full exh sys bc it does make a big difference..totally different bike.
@@idropagearbabye6822 Dano did mine and I'm very pleased and his customer service is outstanding, he spent a lot of time with me on the phone about the flash and the quick shifter I got from him, he really helped me dial the bike in perfectly. I've heard the same about schultz, just not good things and the customer service sucks. I've also heard schultz somehow locks the flash after they do it so no one else can access it but them, so that screws you because if you want to do any other mods like change exhaust and adjust the flash for the new pipe etc....you have to go back to them. Now I say that is WHAT I'VE HEARD....I don't know if this is true or not. Ride safe brother!!!
I have an 05 busa that had some mods done at ECS Dyno in 06. An airbox mod, K&N, Akrapovic full titanium 4into1, power commander III, E3 plugs. Makes 155 at the rear wheel. I'm tempted to see if Chris could improve on this with a updated Dyno tune.
Thanks, Chris, I learnt more about how to diagnose a bike in these 20 minutes than in 20 years‼️🤜🤛
Ahhhh coffee and Moore mafia today's gonna be a good day
Love Busas! You were part of the reason I got my first one @Chris. A 2022 Gen 3 in silver. 🥰 - Amy
If their not changing clutch master cylinder fluid, you best believe they change spark plugs or got valves asjusted.....
Awesome content I think a lot of people will relate to this one and want to see more like it
I’d imagine most of us work on our own toys and have had to do normal maintenance this shows how important it is
The Gen 1 hayabusa is the lightest of the three models !
👍 Gen 1: 244 kg (equipment weight) / 175 hp
〇 Gen 2: 266 kg (equipment weight) / 197 hp
〇 Gen 3: 264 kg (equipment weight) / 188 hp
For reference with my 03 busa I had small box mid oem filter, 2 intake cams full 1 Brocks system. 177 hp at Lees performance in Charlotte. Did a power pull at Blake Ganns 168 hp. Ganns dyno reads lower
It is a subjective opinion, however, both of those Gen 1s look great! I still think the Gen 1 styling is where Suzuki got it right as compared to Gens 2 & 3.
I'd be very suspicious that the busa with the lower hp needs its valves adjusted, too. I could hear a hard start situation.
If the owner can't do the most basic of maintenance like change hydraulic fluid, then guaranteed there aren't doing much more
Me and a buddy are going to be doing this exact same video but a Gen 1 vs Gen 2.
Gen 1 has a Gen 2 airbox swap, Sprint F1-85 filter, short stacks, Full Brock’s alien head and a ported head.
Gen 2 has Sprint P08 filter, short stacks cat delete, dual 8” yoshimura slip ons.
Will be interesting for sure👀👀
Video will be uploaded to my account along with a rematch race between the two as well!!
@@austin17qb24 I just gave you a sub, let me get one back.... I'm interested to see the results.
I still say the Gen 2 will make more power for my guess.
@@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS thanks man!! And it’ll be interesting for sure!!
Looking forward to see gen1 vs gen2 video. I lost 3hp on top end on my 1397ccm gen1 when fitting a Gen2 airbox
@@kristianmadsen1397 thank you, please subscribe! New videos are soon to come. Little slow right now due to moving but mods are being done to the Gen 2 and the bmw finally got tuned so races are soon to come along with other bikes in town!!
Learned a lot here from Chris as well as some good comments from others. Just putting my Gen 1 back together and can see right now I want to put an inline fuel pressure gauge or test port so I can keep an eye on fuel pressure.
Chris thanks for all the information and heads up!!
Good video... These are the struggles we deal with on the dyno from time to time. We got a stock Gen 1 here at the shop we're about to get some baselines with, and then do drop in pistons, dual intake cams and exhaust to see what gains we can make with it.
Very informative
Great to see you diagnosing issues on the dyno and rectifying.
Experienced tuner
Makes the difference
I would like to know if they put new original pump in there or some other brand ....
He did not talk about the sound of the bikes, but, i like the blue/black exhaust tone , not any of the 1000cc stump pipes they install these days.
The gen 1 usually produced around 159-162 or so , these examples are quite short . Gen 2 gained a few more with a little better torque.
2nd bike is still going to need a clutch, the springs are the clamping force, not the fluid
Unless it did what mine did. The clutches were slipping and after changing and checking everything it was the reservoir. The small fluid return hole in the bottom of the reservoir was plugged. It allows the fluid to come back in the reservoir after you release the clutch. I cleaned it out and she's good as new.
Chris explained that the moisture in the old fluid was getting hot and vaporizing. This causes pressure to build in the clutch hydraulic system which would have the same effect as slightly squeezing the lever, causing the clutch to slip.
Awesome I calling yall soon on my gen 1 03
Brilliant I could watch this all day long. 😀
Nice. I have a 2005 Hayabusa that I bought and it has a Brock's Hindle fully system single exhaust with power commander III.
Chris, You are The Wizard of Motorcycle Tuning! Hands down.
Absolute wizard 👌 love your videos! Can't wait to get my busa back on the dyno after it's engine work so I can turn the boost up! 😁
Whats it cost to have ecu flashed?
@@ricksayles1200 with Moore mafia I have no idea. My bike is in the UK and was done by big cc racing
Wish there was a full duel I just love the twin exhaust on the big bikes
In the beginning of this video I was thinking hmmm those look like pretty well taken care of bikes seen them on the Dyno instantly thought differently simple maintenance fellas those are older bikes you have to put some tlc into them to keep them running strong
You're a wizard, my man.
I’ll be calling you shortly. I’ll be wanting my ecu reflash. Guys rant and rave about you and I see why. Great info
That’s awesome I have a 2006 I need to get mine done ,you did my z900 and I love it
140 horsepower on a Busa did they make sure all the plug wires were on !!!!!🤔😬
That’s what I was thinking. Chris should have replaced pump before more tuning.
140 hp is because it was in the neutral map. They bypassed the clutch safety switch. That's why it also only went to 10k
Always need Moore Mafia!
Another great video thanks 👍🏻 Did you fit a genuine Suzuki fuel pump or do you have a good after market option. In the UK a Suzuki fuel pump is about £400 😱😱😱😱
I've seen a lot of those gen 1 busas with fuel pump problems
It's not just them... All bikes have the problem.. It's because they sit around more than they're ridden, and ethanol attracts moisture and builds up contamination when they sit.
@@TEAMWRIGHTEOUS first gen age and miles,2nd gen will be next if they aren't having problems now those bikes are considered old now,I don't run ethanol in my bike never have and never will
@@xxxxxx_1300 not running it definitely helps prevent problems down the road.
Great video Chris keep it up you're a legend
can you do a video about your dyno system, how it works and hows its calibrated?
Great Show today 👏
I really like this 2022 HAYABUSA And the contest of the your TH-cam channel is very nice the content wont get any other TH-cam channels i am really a greate lover of the 2022 hayabusha it is my bream bike
Did the gen1 with stock exhaust downpipes make "moore" power in the low/midrange? I would like to see the complete dyno curve.. Good videos a allways :-)
Also Chris would love to some stuff on that beautiful white Viper you have.
Come to the uk and do some tuning
Hey, this seems the case of my busa (2000). Seems to not perform good enought at higher rpms while still reaching rev limiter on lower gears.
After a while running here and there the rail seems to starve (engine dies) fuel until restart. Also milleage it's pretty crap (10-13kms per liter)
I do guess my fuel pump is giving up after 97.000km. but the question is: I've the external OEM fuel pump.
What could I use as aftermarket pump to replace the overcostly OEM? Thanks for any support :)
Head pipe makes a big difference. That's kinda surprising. Not the power I expected tho.
I have a generation 1 - 2006, and as far as I can tell,
generation 1 has two factory exhaust systems, the older (1999) generation has a pipe from one part from beginning to end, generation 1 (2005 - 2006) has a two-part exhaust.
to put it this way, the older ones have black pipes, the newer ones are chromed.
newer chrome pipes, they have a limiter in the exhaust, a smaller pipe inside the chrome pipes......
I had to cut the chrome pipes to remove them from the limiter, it couldn't do otherwise.....
only when I took out the limiters, the engine is sound and runs as it should.
I have slip on exhausts, and until I took out the limiter, the engine had no special sound, a little better than the factory one....
when the exhausts and pipes are removed, the limiter can be seen, it is closer to the beginning of the exhaust manifold.
I hope I helped a little
GREAT VIDEO JUST KEEP IT UP
Are you going to be doing any racing this year?
I hate that cover on the backseat.
My GF’s seat💡
Don’t even know where my rear cowl is.
so much better without it.
Only problem I have with the Hayabusa.
But since mine doesn’t have one?
Most beautiful bike I’ve ever seen🔥
So I have a Gen 1 99 model all stock what is the best ways to make power weather that's changing exhaust, velocity stacks, ECU flash and what not? Thanks Chris 👍
love the gen1 busa.
Hi sir.. I have a question.. I have a first gen hayabusa with dual exhaust system which I want to change to a single exhaust system. My question is. Does single exhaust system damage the engine? Or doesn't?
Moor mafia the best TH-cam channel made fire
nice one, enjoyed that.
Awesome Chris《☆》👍🛎Are there any problems associated with using Ivan's TRE & 2 Brothers Juice Box on my stock 2002 GSX1300R Hayabusa ? I have a Yoshimura full stainless 4 into 1 duplex header. I shortened the CF muffler by 8". It runs pretty good. I got it used in 2007 with a malfunctioning Power Commander IV installed. The only issue I have is it seems like it takes a little longer to start than the Busas I see here in your video🖖😎☮
What a crack up, same colours as mine and my cousins.
Chris Moore got a suggestion on a gen 1 Hayabusa you should do a airbox March increase horsepower 5 to 10 horses the more air gen one gets the greater the horsepower CC free RAC ing
Gen 1 Hayabusa ❤❤❤
Hey Chris would love to see you build a drag KTM 1290 Superduke R. An as always love what y'all are putting out.
What did the clutch fluid have to do with the clutch slipping? The fluid only disengages the clutches...
Nice gains on the first busa...
No mention of air filters, air box mods or stack changes between the two...
bro lol, they've got stock headers and a power commander lol, you think those owners did airbox mod or running dna filters your trippen lol. They are normie builds with nothing else. Also lol, you don't know shit about clutches
I’ve been building and racing Hayabusas since they were new in 99’, you don’t know fuck all about what I know.
And….airbox mods and Power Commanders are the most basic mods you can do….and were always done on “normal” builds before ECU flashing became a thing.
Fuel pump should be replaced before they get on the dyno. Playing around with tuning myself on my dad's bike kept adding fuel and it wouldn't gain much time. He swapped my bosch 69420 in and he went from 5.95-6.0s to like 5.85s. Haven't been able to get my zt-2 om it to datalog and see just being going off him saying it want more fuel lol
Hi Chris, Just installed a full 4 into 1 system and K & N filter on my Gen 1 busa. I was going to put a power commander 5 on it but saw your ECU flash tunes. Do I install both or could I just have your ECU flash tuned? Thanks, Mark from England
Love you're passion for motorcycles Chris..how much power could you get from my 27 crank h.p. royal enfield 500 classic im feeling the need for speed lately..lmao!
Interesting and informative video Chris. I could check in my owners manual (2021 gsxr1000r) but how often should clutch (and brake fluid for that matter) be changed? I’ve always just left that to the maintenance tech at my local shop and from experience they’re pretty knowledgeable and trustworthy, but good to know either way.
So the Gen 2 and 3 Hayabusa’s are putting down 30 plus more hp to the wheel.
What fuel pump did you replace it with
Bro I love you. What type of gains can I get on my Gen 1 2005 ZX-10R?
Now switch the exhaust around and try it again and see if there is an 18 hp difference to be accurate lol
Did you go back with a factory fuel pump for the 04 busa..if not what type of pump did you replace it with?
Hell the 02 gsxr 1000 I had made 147.3 on the dyno with a slip on. No tune
How does hydraulic fluid change the clamping force of a clutch? It should only affect the ability to release the clutch. That’s all hydraulics do.
hey CM how do i get a pro code for brocks carbon fiber wheels for my generation 1 busa thx bro
Sup Chris,a serious question, which bike was actually the fastest out of the 2000 busa and the 2000 zx12r,pour uncut truth?
Pls how can I get a gen1 haybusa engine to Nigeria I have a haybusa with a bad engine sir
Mr. Moore,
How much for would you charge to do this? I have a 2016 zx14r.
How does old clutch fluid effect clutch clamping force???
do ya have a flash for stunt riding? a smooth band would be beneficial
and more low end.
can you flash the 20 & up ninja 1000sx yet?
Chris can the ECU be flashed for an 01' Busa?
It can Not. Sorry
Can you do a zx14 comparison?
Do you have a ECU flash uploaded for a 04-08 R1?
Does the brand/exhaust size make. difference
HUGE difference
What's the best plugs to run in my gen 1?
It’s a good day 👊🏻✊🏻
My busa was forsale until I watched this video 🤔
i miss my old bus.
Nice video, now time for cartoons
Chris, shouldn’t the busa’s make more horsepower? 180- 190?
Not to the wheel. 173 crankshaft horsepower.
yes but only the second gen ... 2008 + ...
U look like Freddy freemans kid charlie lol
May i bring my hayabusa to you?????
I thought u could flash a Gen 1
01 thru 07 only
If you take out the fuel injectors and clean them properly, you ll gain even more....
It’s funny how people out there really think these busa bikes go 200 mph. With only 160 hp. People always saying I want to hit the 200 club so I will get on a busa. Little do they know there dreaming. Strap a turbo and you will but not with a stock bike.
Didn't watch the whole vid but If peeps don't know the answer to slip on vs full exhaust by now they can't be true more mafia disciples....lol. Cant see how old clutch fluid effects the clutch pressure plate with the clutch out on a dyno run though, clutch feel for sure, unless someone over filled the reservoir and the fluid expanded as the bike got hotter, the push rod is transferring heat to the clutch slave piston, hence the reason your stock fluid turns brown after one day at the dragstrip. Never over fill your brake or clutch reservoir this is how front brakes can lock up, fluid has no where to go when it expands and pushes your brake pistons out, dangerous situation, or you top off your brake fluid when your brake pads are at 25% then replace the brake pads months later, when you push those pistons in to fit the new pads all that fluid gets forced back into the reservoir, and if you don't have the air gap bad things can happen especiallyin hot weather braking hard on the twisties. I always replace my stock fluid brake/clutch with MOTUL synthetic as soon as I get my bike home from the dealership, definitely worth it. The Gen 1 busa also had the flex or cracking of the clutch slave over time when you installed heavy clutch springs, can't modulate the clutch too good when this occurs, had to install the clutch slave reinforcement bracket to solve the issue.... simple fix.
time to shine the bike but no time to change the oil. 🤦🏻♂️
Two brothers 💩 I wouldn't insult my lawnmower with one
People still put that garbage on new bikes. I'm on a zx14 page and you wouldn't believe how many bikes get fkd up by voodoo and 2bros and folks just love em. Can't tell em nothing.
@@Popsm0ke I here you man had a ZX14R put a full 4 into 1 R77 yoshimura system on it was very happy with it not obnoxious noisy either reflashed and bike was mapped for it 216bhp
I run the alien head on mine it's loud but I mostly just drag race.
@@Popsm0ke how does those 2 exhaust mess up the bikes ?
@@sladestryder5264 care to explain please exactly what you mean by mess up the bike
Don't like the way this guy thinks / treats customers bikes. Not good.
hayabusa's what?
Well it is a 20 year old fuel pump so I could see it dying off lol. If it is an original pump.
I can't believe nobody called you out on the clutch comment. The fluid between the master and slave cylinder has zero/nothing to do with the holding power of the clutch, only the actuation of the throw out bearing. Come on your a very large internet influence don't spread nonsense. While I'm at it could you please work on your use of rpms there is no such thing it's all ready plural rotations per minute, just rpm.
those Two Dad pipes never look and sound good. also typical bussa owner I just wanna go fast. no maintenance at all
Full will beat it
Not a proper gen 1. Earlier ones are unrestricted from factory
That sucks...
dont these guys know how to maintain their bikes??????????owners not chris of course
