The idea of adding seams on something like a cloak made from fur/hides is a great one and its something that, when you hear it, makes you think "Why didn't I think of that before?"; it really does break up the surface nicely, adding a bit of realism and also allowing you greater creative control with the pattern. When I first saw the miniature, I also thought it might be a cool idea to actually just do the print only on one side of the cloak and make the other side look like normal cloth or leather.
TheRunesmythe thank you for taking the time to comment. I think I will “patchwork” some of them with print and suede effect as you suggested. The rest are mostly the loin cloth, but the converted flamer heavy could serve well because of surface area
I watched this a while ago, before I'd gotten back into minatures again. Finally building a post apocalyptic army and using your teckers for help. Followed ❤ Keep up the splendid work chap
I would love to know how the Escher gang came out in the end .. hope you can do a update :) Thanks for all the tips and tricks you shared .. they where very helpful !
It's not easy to keep it in the frame and I sometimes get my big head stuck in the shot or bump the camera with my head magnifiers. So yeah, it's a challenge for sure.

Rule 1 of painting is always control your breathing as holding your breath will cause hands to shake .
Atholl McNicoll Lol thanks. As a professional painter I didn’t know that x
Hey thanks for this. My emperors children have nice tabards now
Lovely! I'm curious what the underlying brown/yellow you did was? It is beautiful!
Kevin Toole thanks mate. I worked from African shadow upto orange and then added the yellow and then glazed orange
Also I think the other vids in the series do a step by step of that
