    I had my paint slightly too thick still so I was getting jarring transitions in the colours. Your excellent explanation and demonstration has helped me to finally nail a nice smooth skin tone, you rock man!

    • @ThreeGoddesses
      @ThreeGoddesses 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      In my experience, paint cant be too thin; that just means you might need another layer. But it can always be too thick. Whats that addage, measure twice and cut once because you can always take more off but you cant add it back? Same kinda thing, but in reverse.

    Not having touched a brush in years, I was a bit worried about painting up my new Blood Bowl team. And then, in the weirdest/best case of timing ever (or Google reading my mind) this video popped into my feed the day before I had planned to start painting. Even with me being rusty after not painting for several years, I think I might have improved my skills by watching this video.
    Thinning the paints was something I never got around to "back in the day" but watching your layering technique made me go thin, thin, thin, and boy did it help. So much easier to apply the paint, and for once I've gotten half decent skin tones.
    In other words: thanks for a great video.
