I do like that One Page Rules chose to model a variety of animal people for their Beastmen line. Not just copying GW's goat/bull men wholesale. Plus, they've got hyena men, and it's always nice to see Gnolls get some love.
There's two kinds of paradigms Gnolls fit into. Either the top heavy bulky ones like you find in World of Warcraft, or the big head hunch back, but otherwise skinny gnolls. The beastmen hunters are sleek and more importantly to me, upright, and even just painting that one's fur, I'm kinda disappointed I didn't print more. I'm really truly in love with the beastmen models so far. Can't wait to see what the Elites and Harpies look like....the boars are maybe where I'm not as excited..:P
Another awesome video. Can't wait to try these out. My whole Beastmen Army has been on pause because I had no clue where to go with painting the fur. Thanks for all you do Paintman!
A friend sent this tutorial my way and holy smokes I'm definitely using this technique on my Kitsune Clan minis from Signum. Awesome work and a clear and straightforward tutorial, thanks very much for sharing your knowledge!
True lifesaver because today I decided to throw together a AoFS Team and just realized I never painted a giant kitty yet 😢 So thanks for sharing your approach 👌🏻
They're really really nice sculpts. I can't wait to finish mine, though I'll kinda have to cause I just have other things that are priority right now x_x
I'm pretty eager to get them finished, but might take a while still, few other projects ahead in the Queue. I'm thinking maybe I do a stream to celebrate 1000 subs, and finish painting one on there.
I like what you have done here with painting of the beast-men, being a beginning "Anthropomorphic" furry miniatures painter this gives me a lot of ideas and help. Have you looked into some of the miniatures from Sally4th off their Critter conversion kits?
I had not had a look until I saw this. Lots of cute heads for conversion. And some old school style minis. I'm glad the videos were helpful and thanks for the recomendation.
@@PaintmanJourneying Well, I will put your painting suggestions to the 28mm and 75mm miniatures. Mainly, there are little to no painting guides for anthropomorphic models, be they fantasy, modern, or sci-fi.
We need more sci fi anthropomorphic miniature folks. Everyone does fantasy but what if you want some Caitains or Kzinti for Star Trek? One of my rpg's ive got captain thats canine Vulpinian sort. Or maybe some Moreaus for Shadowrun or Cyberpunk?
I belive for this video I used liquitex heavy body acrylic. Though now a days I'm using Jo Sonja tube colours, more matte and a little thinner while still having single pigment colours available.
0:10 "excited" is not how I would describe my mood. Rather, anxiety and worry... 1:10 WRONG. the first step is NEVER to prime. Step 1 is removing welding errors. Step 2 is washing the minis with dishwasher stuff. Step 3 is priming dark from below and white from above. Step 4 is your step 1. you are a noob and you are misleading people.
These are 3D printed miniatures. Your steps are for miniatures you buy from the store. The very first thing that happens to a 3D print is that they are washed thoroughly, supports get removed and cleaned off, then washed again, then cured. At this point it's ready for priming. Zenithal priming is optional but absolutely not required. This is also a video about how to paint fur, not an all encompassing tutorial on how to prepare miniatures.
@@PaintmanJourneying before you paint fur, you should point out the necessary steps, or at least point out that it is an advanced paint video. your assumptions on your set are invalid in general, for example on Aftermath minis.

This is the video I have been waiting for. Tiger was a given. I love that you did a snow leopard pattern too.
Snow leopards are my favorite cats so there was no way one at least one wasn't sneaking into the army.

Glad it found ya! One of my favorite things to paint it fur too, I could easily sit for hour painting strands.
YAYA YOU MADE IT TO 1000 SUBS! Congratulations dude, well deserved.
Thanks so much! Kinda sprang up on me too cause I was busy editing this one I wasn't checking 😹

Great video. I’d love to see those models finished

Hey I also paint furry minis and I'd love to see yours! Do you have anywhere you post them, like Twitter or Reddit?
@@KarasWorkshopAlt I have a Tumblr, Instagram, Furaffinity and DeviantArt.

I totally agree, I'd certainly not turn down more anthro sci-fi. OPR Jackals is one good source, but needs more.
What brand of Paints do you use?
