Sorry about disturbing your game at JustPlay today Mordian (I was the Custode player beside you), but i had to acknowledge you as a long term subscriber and i tried to as polite as i could. I was literally having a look at the Bolt Action stuff down below and come home to this video, i think i'm going to delve into it 🤣
I know the building rules seem awkward sometimes but would love to see a battle report with a bit of house to house fighting just to see how it all works.
Fun game! Just a note, since vehicles pivot from their centre, you don't want to tuck them up against building walls because that means you can't turn at all until you clear the length of the wall.

@ Mordian 1:11:42 Officer's special abilities still work even when they are loaded in a transport (see main rulebook "officers/HQ aboard transports"). If they are in a soft skinned or open topped transport, draw the range of their abilites from the hull of the vehicle. You can "snap to it" from the transport, but the officer must not order himself to go "Down" as per the rules of "snap to it"
Great video! Bought my first Bolt Action set today and excited to start playing. Where is this terrain from? Love that you're able to take the roof off to hide troops inside

Nice Bat Rep, but i think the board is a litte to open at one Side. And Oh man, the new cover rules are so broken shit. 2 Units stand directly in front of each other, seeing ech other cleraly but get a 2+ save.... thats so stupid.
They seemed to forget that point blank denies the +2 to cover save for being Down, and also just seemed to be playing really generously with what counts for being in cover which normally takes half of the squad being obstructed; I remember one of the squads looked like it was intentionally positioned where out of a dozen guys like 3 were hiding behind a wall and 1 was in a crater with the other 8 pushed out in front in the open but was counted as being in heavy cover.
@@itsthatguyarc7186 Thats true, there seemed to be a lot cover where i would not see it. May be he is more used to 40k. I have the book now and will read it for myself. but in earlyer editions u did not get cover that easy.

2:44:39 made that mistake too often in v2 before i found out. When using vehicles, its hull to hull or hull to base when firing at infantry

One page rules has a version, loads of people have done it. The big multi wound characters are had to make work. Bolter action it's called I think.
