Super special collage papers indeed, Jackie! It was so satisfying watching your creative flow and the beautiful results. Thank you for showing all your creations in the end again to enjoy them once more. Those squiggly lines 😍!!! Have a happy Sunday & have fun with likes and comments 🙂🙂🙂. Aloha from Berlin ❤🧡💛💚💜
You know what I really love about your tutorials, it’s the absolute joy on your face when magic happens. Thank you for teaching me the great versatility of every kind of paper out there. ❤
What a sweet thing to say, Ria. I'm glad that I don't have to hide my excitement (as if I could 😂). I have an unofficial goal of playing with at least 1,000 different types of paper before I "retire." Obviously, that will take a couple of decades at least. 🥰
I love using water on my gel plate to cause the lacing, black seems to work better than many colours for some reason! So many fun things to use on a gel plate and most of them are free! I could watch you pull prints all day! Yes, take your rings off!💕🇨🇦
It was fun watching this video this morning! I can’t wait to return home and get to work making black and white papers! But now I’m thinking 🤔 what can I order to get that fabulous packing material 😆 TFS ❤
Cindy - we all hope you get home soon for every reason ☺️. I don't know where you could order it from directly, but the two times I have received it it's been from products that I ordered that were frozen, and that packaging lined the box. This time it was frozen berries from Oregon. I hope you can find some! 🥰
Gorgeous results. I love setting aside a day for creating important papers for my stash. I love dots & circles. I particularly love coloured circles on wet strength tissue that can be added. I recently spent a couple of hours replenishing my stock. So satisfying to see the rainbow pile. More 🖤 & 🤍 next 😊
This was a very interesting video 😊 I m learning a lot from you and your videos 🙏🥰👏 and the jar trick was very helpful 👏🙏 Thank you 🙏 lots of love from arctic Norway 🥰🌸🌺🌼
Fantastic thank you. Guess what I'm going to be doing this weekend 🙂 Genius idea to put craft paper underneath to roll off your brayer. I usually use another piece of copy paper but I like the idea of having the black and white marks on the brown paper. Off to sign up for your newsletter.
I love your videos!! Your delight in creating is inspiring and your techniques are so creative. I am a bit obsessed with textures and shapes. I especially like the idea of using something like packaging for mark making. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity bc and joy of creating! It’s truly inspiring.
Thank you very much - Nature Woman! I am also obsessed with shapes and texture...especially textures. I cannot go out in the world without touching "everything." 😂 It makes my hubby crazy 😂🥰
Thank you for this amazingly inspiring video. I've been in a funk lately and nothing i make turns out like i imagined it. So I do as you do and create paper, mostly with the gelli plate. I hope i don't drown in painted papers😂. I'm really looking forward to see what you have in store for us. Take care
Hi Amelie - it's so hard when we fall in a rut. I'm happy you are letting yourself enjoy the process of creating papers for creating's sake. Soon you will have all sorts of beautiful creations using your gorgeous papers! 🥰
Hi Jackie. I love black & white 😊 I just made myself a small art journal with Khadi papers (handmade cotton) which I will use mostly for b&w collage art, the front and back covers are made with black & white papers I made. Today’s video was relaxing and fun to watch while enjoying my Saturday morning coffee with Jackie 🩵🩵
Fran - I love that you had your morning coffee with me! I am not familiar with Khadi paper - do you have a source you recommend? I'd love to try working with them. 🥰
@@PaintedPaperStudio Jackie: I learned about Khadi paper from Ali Manning @vintagepagedesigns. She loves khadi paper and uses it in her handmade books. Her source is hiromipaper.com.
Oh my only my second time watching you pull prints from gel plate. I can only guess that seeing as no 2 are alike which is the joy if one pull really speaks to you is there any second thoughts to saving one or do you ever wish you could recreate a pull you just love ❤
Hi Maria! LOL - this is what I go through nearly every day! I almost always have second thoughts about using the paper for a particular project (what if I REALLY need it later 😂). For the papers I'm most precious about, I scan them, the rest get used or saved for inspiration. And yes, I always wish I could perfectly recreate pulls - it's just not the nature of the beast. 🥰
This is so much fun! i had to get those rollers! I took a course and was introduced to tengucho washi paper….very thin and yet strong…..have you ever tried it?
Yes, get the rollers! They are so much fun 😍 I have not heard of or used tengucho washi paper, but now I'm going to go down a rabbit hole learning about it 😂
Loved the video - I cannot get the links to amazon to work. I have had no trouble in the past so am wondering if it’s the link or my iPad? Anyone else having an issue?
None of them work! 😮 I tried to copy the link and enter on amazon too, but I got very unrelated items coming up. I have never had a problem before. I just tried on my iPhone and that works. Bizarre- seems to be the iPad where the problem is. I am quite certain I have ordered from your links on the iPad before as that is where I watch your programs. I am happy now as I can order but perhaps you want to check it out with amazon in case others are not persistent in ordering. I am looking forward to your upcoming class schedule! Take care
@@karenpesch2015 Oh dear. Whenever I have a problem with my iPad, I turn it all the way off for about 30 minutes and then boot up again - it usually fixes whatever wasn't working right. 🥰
Hi Jackie! When do u let paper dry before a pull and when not? And, if you add another layer of paint to the gel plate, does the first layer need to be dry first? THANK YOU!! I’ve learned so much from you!
Great questions, Jean! The only times I let the paper/paint dry completely before a pull is when it's really important for me to pull up every bit of paint and have a clean plate left over. That is pretty rare for me because I do enjoy the little bits and pieces that show up from old pulls. The answer to your second question a little trickier. I don't usually wait for the bottom layer to be "dry," but the truth is that most layers go on so thin, they're almost dry before I put on the next layer. I hope that helps. 🥰
Really like your videos. I don’t seem to find the links you mentioned. Could you please tell me where I would find “description “ which provides links? thanks
