Great coverage. I was lead in the electronics department of Staples during the years the Palm Pilots grew in popularity. For years we had a long counter loaded with beepers, PDAs, and cell phones with security alarm lines attached to all. It was a fun time to work retail.
Thanks. You brought tears to my eyes. I still have the 515 and the Sony but haven't touched them in a long time. Maybe I will and again get the excitement I experienced then.
Awesome to hear and thank you for watching. I found out from the founder of PalmDb.net that the licensing keys and activation codes on their site are safe and approved by the vendors. check the comments in the video. Get those devices out, charge them and have fun. I have 2 M515s and keep them in rotation.
Great video. I had a Palm 7 from the late 1990s. Was once stranded in Houston due to weather but was able to use its data capability to find to Official Airline Guide on line, found an alternate flight, and was on my way. It's something we take for granted now but back in the day it was sort of magical.
That's an amazing story! I think my coolest story is when I read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on a Sony Clie and it made the book just the more magical.
Excellent rundown. I still miss my Palm Treo for its usability which was miles ahead of the "smart" pones of today. Ya, the big glass touch screens of today are great for entertainment etc but unlike the Palm display, I can't use them even in partial sunlight, with my gloves in cold weather or in the dark with physical buttons that my fingers know. There is a major issue with tactile buttons not being available any more and some smart phone company should address this. Today's 'smart" phones are a huge step backward with more emphasis on glitz than usability.
I had one of these as a kid when my grandma gave me hers because I'm a Zoomer lol but these are basically what tablets are now, very ahead of its time.
Hello. After installing Palm Desktop on Windows 11, I installed the driver they recommend for Windows 7, 8, and 10 64-bit. But when I connect the device, Windows tells me that it prevented the driver from loading. In the options it suggests disabling core isolation, but I know that this will surely cause problems later on. Is there an alternative to use Palm Desktop on Windows 11? Thanks!

I remember those day! Such fun to see the amazing devices all in a row.

Thanks for this! I found one in great condition on the street and was very curious about it. The video was just what I needed to figure it out ☺️
That is a pretty cool find. I'm glad you got the information you needed. thank you for watching.
Thanks for the video. Just recently bought one for my collection
nice! I had two of them and sold one to cover the cost of another palm device. I need to make a video about that one. Thank you for watching.
This is cool! Would like to see more videos like this, and actual planning uses.
Thank you for watching. I've got some ideas and I am on the hunt for another Palm at the moment.

I agree. There is something to be said for the compactness of a device and its ability to be used in multiple environments.

Such a cool device and great for the times. Would be interesting to see a world where phones stayed phones and Palm just kept getting better
