The reason sanjis fried rice does not have octopus in the recipe is because it was only added in the anime. In the manga it looks like plain fried rice but yes the meat on the bone is proposterous
@@AttackonCuisine at least the meat on the bone is quite creative in its own right, even though it can be similar with stard chicken or common meat with bone if it makes sense, and still, the rice on the anime with shrimps and octopus can be a plus nonetheless , no?
Stumbled upon this video and seeing how it went. I recently bought the book myself and actually tried one of the recipe's. Page 70 which is the Penne Gorgonzola. It was interesting to try it out since both my dad and I love pasta related dishes. We are by no means fantastic at cooking but after following the recipe it turned out amazing and was delicious. What I do love about this book that its not just full of complex dishes that take hours to prep but it has simple basic dishes that don't take long to prepare and cook. In my opinion its a great book whether you are a casual fan or die hard and do want to cook.
Loved this video, as always the music and your voice make me so calm. today is my 18th birthday and Im thinking about getting this cookbook as a long time fan of OP and cooking! So thanks for the review! Also glad to see such an amazing channel is getting sponsored!
Love the videos! The one thing I've always wanted to see made is the tuna balls Sanji made during the Navarone arc when he and Luffy were disguised as Marines!
It's not canon in the manga, and since there's a "manga moment" for every recipe, showing the exact panel where the meal is from, i dont think it's in there haha
I'm a big fan of your channel and thought this video was great! If you are gonna do more cook book videos I suggest looking at either the Food wars one or Pokemon cook book!
I have ordered this book and I found your review very helpful. One of the things I like about savoury cooking is how easy it is to adjust and the tip to add spice is a really good thing to know, and easy to pull off. I look forward to adding my stamp to these recipes (and I am not inserting an egg in a chicken leg. I'll find another way to make meat for Luffy :D)
With the fried rice, it actually is accurate, but only to the manga which is where the cookbook draws the inspiration. The anime added all the seafood (though I have to agree with the meat on the bone, I think they were trying to replicate the cartoony look more than anything). That being said, love this video! You have a very calming voice and this was a very peaceful interesting watch. Thank you!
Your correct for sure :)! I think the manga is where they had drawn inspiration, so I agree with you. Still a great book though and glad you liked the video !
Yo been a while since I've seen your content and I just wanted to check it out since i saw u in my recommended I think your still doing very well. keep going ! ;D
Keep in mind the Manga is different from the anime if you read the part where sanji made that sailor dude a meal from starvation the manga version didn't have octopus. Also I substituted the Meat on bone recipe with Heavy cream and you need to do this last and add it to the panko crumbs right away or it will harden instead of milk. I also added 1 garlic and 1/4 onion doesn't matter what color and 1 tablespoon of parsley. It tasted amazing my family said.
sorry if this is unsolicited advice and a bit annoying but i’ve been making a lot of fried rice lately and if you ever get tired of simple soy sauce friend rice and want it to taste a little more like a restaurant fried rice, try adding a little sprinkle of sugar to it to counteract the saltiness of the soy sauce. and if you REALLY want a restaurant quality recipe i’d recommend a blog called thewoksoflife. their fried rice recipe is amazing and has that nice restaurant style flavor, and they have a lot of delicious cantonese recipes as well!
Thankyou for the advice :) I do use sugar often in my fried rice, if you check the recipe I did, the Sanji & Banbans fried rice, there I used sugar. It's just that I tried to fully follow the recipe in the book here :)!
Im trying something a bit different with this video.. let me know if you all would like more of these types of videos 😊
Loved this vid

Cook book reviews sounds like a good expansion to your channel
I got this book a year ago since I like cooking. I think it's a decent book and my friends and family have liked all the dishes I've cooked from it.
That's nice to hear :)! The book is quite nice and has a few dishes which taste very good!

Beautiful…. Just beautiful 🤩😎
The fried rice you cooked was shown in manga not from anime. In anime there was octopus but in manga there's not.
Fair point :)!
For the second dish... Just plain letuce is very lame, at least one should make some dressing and add a secondary vegetable or fruit to it
Since i discovered your channel, I've gain 2kg more because eating to much good food 😭
Trust me...buy anything related to OP cus one day it'll worth so much.
Pt 2?
Maybe in the future but I don't think so Ill focus on the dishes from the anime :)!
