I knew too but it doesn't changed ANYTHING . The scene and the post scene are soooo impactful. Oda knows how to kill the character and a little bit of the readers heart too hahaha
7:05 "i know im in for some hardcore world building" honestly, the world building of one piece is so natural and so detailed, that it feels like an "extreme world that's full of danger and is all blood and horrors" and more of a "childhood wonder" world, stuff that only a child would be able to think of
You take one look at the grand and red lines, the calm belt, how the grand line works, and you think "it's so gimmicky wth it's like it's designed for a videogame." Then when you're watching the show, a big strip of weird islands along the equator, hidden by an entrance up a mountain, all feels so natural and not at all contrived.
Reading the manga is the way to go. I subbed and liked. Great to see another youtuber experiencing one of the greatest story ever told for the first time.
Ussops goal is actually commonly mistaken, is dream isnt just be a brave warrior of the sea but specifically to die a brave warrior of the sea, meaning his goal is the only goal where death is genuinely the end acheivement

Your crying during the Nami scene in the anime is a good example of why I watch the anime first and read the manga only after that. After the anime has created a base for me to enjoy the same scene in the manga. The amazing soundtrack always at the perfect time and the incredible voice actors are completely killing it and enhances the experience. All the scenes hit way harder in the anime compared to manga, where readers often breeze through panels too fast before they start feeling what Oda wanted you to feel. There's no guidance on how long each panel should last in the manga and everyone reads at different speeds and focus on different things. But the anime brings the unified experience for everyone. I can't imagine my one piece experience without music and voice acting. It's a part of one piece for me. All the characters and their personalities in the series are tied to it. I'm re-reading the manga again, but now in Japanese, and I can't help but read all the dialogue with VA voices in my head.
"after we get familiar with gold roger probably not important" god I love oda also aside from that Im genuinely surprised how your quality channel only has 400 subs. maybe I'll be a veteran of the channel when you get popular👍
The thing that makes me like this video is the honesty. There is no attempt at feigning a reaction despite the (monetary) insensitive to do so. It makes the whole video seem sincere. 👍
the world building is really engrossing in one piece and it really makes you almost feel like you're living along with the characters... it's also pretty unique compared to most other anime worlds these days since each separate island is like its own nation... hope you continue enjoying your One Piece journey, it was interesting hearing your ideas or opinions on the characters from the early manga arcs ...
9:00 To explain the “current power system” without being too complex or confusing about it… most people start at an average of “human” level. BUT… unlike our world people just have a higher ceiling. Just how we can train with weights to evenryuslly bench press 225, 315, 405 pounds etc… they can too but they go from normal humans to 405, 1000, 5000 pounds etc. Their strength and speed ceiling is just higher than ours. That’s without any special power ups or fruits or anything. Just like Zoro is a “regular” human without any fruit, but his physical strength is much greater than anyone in our actual world. Same thing with Luffy. He has a devil fruit but he CLEARLY is physically stronger than anyone in our world physically… and that isn’t something that comes from his fruit. That’s just his physical strength which he seemingly seems to have trained for at some point in his life or maybe naturally born with it. Either way yes most people in Oda’s world are inherently “normal” humans who can with training get stronger like us just at a faster pace with a much higher ceiling. Kuro for example is just a dude who trained to be really fast. It’s not too complex or something that needs much thought put into it.
An enjoyable watch. People feel intimidated by the 1000+ chapters but I'm jealous because they're able to do what I haven't been able to do since 2009. Binge arcs instead of waiting for weekly chapters.
One piece becomes part of you. When i got caught up to the manga, it felt like a loved one died. i couldn't handle waiting a week for the next chapter to the point that i began rereading it all over again immediately. i'm caught up again now. Hell of a drug.
Yeahh you're so right, I did hold onto this video for a short while so I could progress on my Alabasta video because these take so long to make, I might make them a bit shorter in the future so as you mention I can upload more consistently, and thanks!!

1:22 I also had that spoiled for me before I even started watching one piece and unfortunately for me, I also knew the damned arc down to the episode it happened😔
I got spoiled at the start of Saboady in the most random way. For some reason, I wanted to know what other voices Nami's seiyuu has worked on before, so I googled it and.... FOR SOME UNKNOWN FREAKING REASON there's a 3d2y movie of one piece called something like 3D2Y: Luffy overcoming Ace's death.... And yes, Nami's seiyuu has worked on that movie.... My face was like 🗿? WHY? WHYY?
@@DeepoyTHISS. recently whenever I recommend one piece to people I NEED to put it out there that, instead of getting the legendary awaited ending of one piece as a non fan, why not embrace the joy with all the other fans when you share the same enthusiasm for the show? being caught up to one piece and then seeing the ending for yourself would be SO much more rewarding than if you’ve been putting it off for so long that you’re too late
Yeah I had this spoilt for me too, it sucked :') at the very least, the way his death happened was actually quite surprising so there was a little bit of shock value
Since you already noticed how many moving parts Oda throws into his narrative, where people will split up, do different things and meet back up, I encourage you to try and keep in mind what each character knows at any given point. Oda *loves* to play with the crew dynamic in subtle ways by playing the things they DON'T KNOW off of one another. Kind of like the way they wrote Arrested Development.
reading the manga is definitely the quickest way to catch up especially if ur not gonna go through the one pace fan recommendations on what anime eps to watch and which to skip. however i highly recommend to watch the arcs/fights/moments when u pass them in the manga to get to full effects. u know the music, the fighting, the voice acting...u get soo much emotions from those.

Like your top 5's. Ussop is a character to many like to hate on... at least its a loud group if nothing else. I like him a lot but agree that his cowardice can be tough to stomach some times. But the fact he always has that handicap makes me appreciate his victories more. Cannot wait to see more. I do suggest you look up chapter counts for sections ahead of time. Some are over 200 chapters long so you might need to treat those longer parts different based off what your comfy with doing.
Yes! You can't be brave unless you're afraid! Ussop's already the bravest! Haha. And yeah I have the sagas and arcs from the One Piece wiki on hand, kinda spoils the names of the arcs but I find it more beneficial than a negative, plus I've heard a lot of the names already tbh
I finished Alabasta and so far Ussop's cowardice hasn't bothered me. I find his antics hilarious and very intelligent and creative. He's so unique, entertaining and useful. Fighting just isn't one of his main strengths, so of course he's gonna try to avoid it if possible. He still delivers when necessary and keeps fighting no matter how much he gets hurt. He's one of my favorites.
After Chapter 302 in the series, there is a mini-filler arc in the anime that is 11 episodes long that most fans of the show would agree is worth taking a detour to watch. It is, by its filler nature, completely skippable, however the short arc is really funny and enjoyable enough to make the pitstop worth recommending. Eps are 196-206. Great vid btw!
Oda verified that the one piece will be something, and doesn't like the idea of people saying that it is the friends or the journey they made along the way
What a lovely animated discussion! Like others in here, came for one piece, stayed for amazing quality video. PS: You should remember Kuro's technique. Oda doesn't advertise the worldbuilding, but if you keep an eye out for it, you will see it. Welcome to the one piece theory community XD.
Good luck with your journey! Also I suggest you to look at some wonderful hidden literacy details throughout the story. I watched the anime many times and there are still some cool hidden details I discovers every time I rewatch. For example at Arlong Park, the pinwheel that Genzo have, is somehow connected to Luffy. Both the pinwheel and Luffy makes Nami smile. But what makes it better is that Luffy came from Windmill village. See it? WINDMILL = PINWHEEL, and that made me feel more hard to Luffy's promise to Genzo to not make her cry. Other details I think you should learn is that if the Strawhats fight someone on 1v1, the enemy somehow have similarities with the respective Strawhat. For example in Arlong Park again, Zoro who uses multiple swords fought the fishman that also uses multiple swords, footwork Sanji fought the one with karate, and Usopp with the long nose fought the one with the big mouth. Good luck!

Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy the ride. If you are sensitive with the spoilers, yeah, be wary about the community discussions, but also don’t be afraid to hop in, I know how much the good part of the community embrace new nakamas.
It's a shame you know about the Ace stuff. That really crushed me and caught me off guard.
ikr!! It wasn't even once too, I probably heard it a couple dozen times, tough!!
@@Deepoyas someone who was also spoiled on ace's death, I gotta say, it didn't make the his death less impactful or less sad at all, I was weeping watching the episode
@@Deepoytrust me when I saw that panel with Ace it completely shocked me. He was gonna make it tho….
One piece fans are always willing to come aboard and enjoy other's journeys through the content. I like your style... Ima sneak aboard your ship.
This guy needs more subs ngl
Bro has joined the One Piece van
Great video, we one piece fans love to see new and old faces experience this magical story. Keep up the good work would love to see more
Thank you thank you! I'll try to keep them rolling 👌
New one piece reviewer with quality visuals? Yeah get ready to blow up buddy
Reading the manga is the way to go. I subbed and liked. Great to see another youtuber experiencing one of the greatest story ever told for the first time.
My favourite medium 🙏 anime has been hitting in recent times tho!
Some read one piece for decades, some start to read today, everyone will reach the one piece at the same time in the same page with the straw hats.
Ussops goal is actually commonly mistaken, is dream isnt just be a brave warrior of the sea but specifically to die a brave warrior of the sea, meaning his goal is the only goal where death is genuinely the end acheivement
"i think roger is luffys dad"
It's so fun to watch baby one poece viewers bc we all remember having these same theorys
One Piece has summoned me
That legendary place
that the end of the map reveals
is only legendary
'til someone proves it real
You had 72 subs in the video and posted yesterday, right now you sit at 115? This is amazing, you summoned us One Piece Fans and here we are!
Yeah like I know One Piece is a popular topic but how are yous finding me?? 😂😂 I thought I'd be too small for any algorithmic traction, I'm appreciative tho!!
@@Deepoy The algorithm works in mysterious ways, I guess. Anyway, nice you found a bunch of new fans, me included! I look forward to your next video!
@@Deepoy Whn you've already watched countless videos with words : starting, watching and One piece. The algorythm just do it's work
@@Deepoy I found you thanks to TH-cam recommendation XD
I love watching people experience One Piece for the first time, that share their experience with it ^^
@@Deepoy bro your channel popped up my youtube page because your talking about one piece i'm going to watch your video and if i like the content i'll subscribe
7:32 : buggy sama would be irrelevant after 1000 chapters , lmao NOPE
Shhhh 🤫
Pls delete this comment and hope the creator didn’t already see it you shouldn’t spoil that for him
Straight to the comments for this one 😂
"after we get familiar with gold roger probably not important"
god I love oda
also aside from that Im genuinely surprised how your quality channel only has 400 subs. maybe I'll be a veteran of the channel when you get popular👍
Hahaha yeahh that Roger line was a bit of laughs by me, and thank you!! I appreciate your early support 🙏🙏
I'm about halfway through the anime atm and omg i love it water 7 saga definitley hooked me
Oo nice progress! Good luck 👌
wow, 86 subs with this level of quality?? keep it up man
Thank you!! Appreciate that 👌
The reason these one piece videos do so well is because so many of us wish we could watch one piece for the first time
The fact that you watch onepiece just gave you a subscriber
You probably hear this a lot, but the series gets better as it goes on, building off previous arcs. Also you will cry many times.
The thing that makes me like this video is the honesty. There is no attempt at feigning a reaction despite the (monetary) insensitive to do so. It makes the whole video seem sincere. 👍
The Code Lyoko refrence lol I always forget about it but when it comes up I get all nostalgic
Hahahah I'm glad you caught that, it's such an obscure memory
i loved how sincere you were at the beggining stating that you have been spoiled before instead of fake reacting like 99% youtube ppl do
the world building is really engrossing in one piece and it really makes you almost feel like you're living along with the characters... it's also pretty unique compared to most other anime worlds these days since each separate island is like its own nation... hope you continue enjoying your One Piece journey, it was interesting hearing your ideas or opinions on the characters from the early manga arcs ...
Great One-Piece video and the quality of this you deserve over a thousand subs with this level of effort!!!
Cheers!! maybe in the future haha 🙏
Zef eating his leg is a manga thing in the anime he amputates it to save him from drowning 11:42
Great animation, a small suggestion keep consistent upload even if it doesn't work at first it will eventually. All the best for ahead, 'X'
Yeahh you're so right, I did hold onto this video for a short while so I could progress on my Alabasta video because these take so long to make, I might make them a bit shorter in the future so as you mention I can upload more consistently, and thanks!!
The main thought going through my mind while watching this vid was "Oh my sweet summer child..". I'll obviously refrain from spoilers but you're in for some good stuff. Can't wait for the coming reviews of the series!
😂 yes please stay tuned!!
1:22 I also had that spoiled for me before I even started watching one piece and unfortunately for me, I also knew the damned arc down to the episode it happened😔
oof, I'm sorry bro! I feel bad for future generations that start One Piece and get spoilt what the One Piece IS 😭
I got spoiled at the start of Saboady in the most random way.
TH-cam algorithm doing its work. Have my sub. You deserve the attention!
it's funny how this video is posted same time as when i continue watching one piece again lol
2:00 Haha it's cute that you think that. Everyone starts off with little bits and they plan to just give short updates, then you'll be consumed.
Brother us one piece fans love insane reviews and your art style is amazing! It's a shame you got some spoilers, but hey they take a while lolol I hope you get more hooked then you obviously are right now XD
Thank you! and I've enjoyed Alabasta even more than East Blue so 👌👌 I appreciate the support 🙏
@@Deepoy let me tell you this brother! Each arc is better then the next! (though depending on how you interact with a certain few arcs, yeah there might be like 2 you don't like as much as these XD)
this show is overwhelming to get through. especially before alabasta. this is just one of those shows when you get through the beggining and middle pre timeskip. i can tell your ready for this journey and it was hard for me to get through but you can do this man
The algorithm have the tendency to recommend me channels trying to hop on the One Piece bandwagon quite artificially, but this time I feel like hitting the jackpot. Keep on going bro
Why is this guy so underrated 400 subs is crazy
That means a ton thank you!! 🙏
Yup. That algorithm boost is working. Amazing video, cgreat quality, chill dude. Take my sub!
One piece viewers are hardcore watchers when new people start watching/reading
You will have an influx of one piece fans who will constantly watch until you catch up on one piece ❤
Started one piece this year, fell in love with it. Enjoy the journey
This video reminded me of when I would finish one piece arcs and watch Totally Not Mark’s reviews. I really loved hearing your thoughts on the series and I’m looking forward to more reviews.
wait you have only around 170 subscribers, and with this level of quality, i thought you would have way more.
this is better quality than some channels with like 10k+ subscribers.

Oh yeah! They transitioned to that filler arc in the anime so well that I thought it was canon for a solid while.
Oda verified that the one piece will be something, and doesn't like the idea of people saying that it is the friends or the journey they made along the way
Welcome to the fandom, may you get everything the one piece world has to offer.
4 kids had Zeph remove his leg saving Sanji from a sinking ship. Almost worse if ya think about it Zeph just went with Zero food for 70+ days.
Ohh right I see, I knew he didn't eat it but couldn't recall how it was gone, cheers!
Not just 4Kids. The regular anime itself censored it too.
Funny enough, the live action was the one that stayed manga accurate.
honestly still sad they "censored" it, but tbh it's not the worst i've seen by a long shot
Trust me, buggy will be important after 1000 episodes 😂 but hes just literally a meme😂😂
He is used as a meme but still a huge cover for the actual players in the organisation
This video seems insanely well-scripted, well-directed, well-drawn, well-edited and well-articulated.
Plus, One Piece.
Subbed!
I always respect anyone who can start One Piece nowadays. Good luck!
“started OP” + cool deepoy character = I sub 😁
come on abroad mate, I am your new sub here to relive the One Piece Journey alongh with thousads others. this is the best ❤🔥
Good luck!
The Arlong Park match ups were great 👌 I'll for sure try to keep an eye out!
The quality of this video is great!
I’ve read one piece for 25 years now, you’re in for a treat.
Knowing the story, a lot of the things you say are crazy to me! Not saying anything else here though!
Cpt. Kuro does not have a fruit power.
I don't think he had fruit powers,I'm not sure though cuz that was like literally the first few eps
@@umberrizwan5376 yea, just re-read it, and he doesn’t! I clearly remember reading that he had one, but apprently remembering something for a decade isn’t that accurate 😅
