@@JazzStation95 in the Manga Sanji was putting the Bento Box in a basket and in one Panel you can See that He also had some chocolate and tangerines with him that He put in the basket too

While rice is indeed Zoro's favourite; he prefers it in Onigiri form. the rice is part of the curry which is Brook's favourite. Instead Zoro's favourite in this scene is actually the bottle of alcohol he packed alongside the other food.

So close to the real dish! It looks amazing! Just smol facts: according to the author's notes, the curry is takoyaki curry because it's Brook's favourite and the pasta is supposed to be spicy seafood pasta because it's Sanji's favourite. Still, it looks so tasty aaa

@@brandonotten9501 It's probably in some of the supplemental material... can't remember what it's called at the moment. He adds a lot of trivia and bits in those, as well as some random sketches, such as Zoro's swords and earrings if they were humans, possible future looks of the Straw Hats, and so on.

I'm not a big fan of Sanji, but I'll admit it melted my heart when he realized through tears that he made all of their favorites.
He even packed a bottle of alcohol for Zoro, tangerines for Nami, and a chocolate bar for Chopper (the curry was for Brook).
He knew that even if he did care for Pudding, that the Straw Hats are his family, despite how much they can annoy him. It's heartwarming.
For me it was his introductory episode - feeding starving strangers, for free, at the risk of your job (and later your life) says a lot about your character.
It just means that when he's cooking with love, his hands routinely make the food of his crewmates even when he doesn't explicitly mean to.
How can you see a man so traumatised by his past, while being so pure of heart and not like him because his bit isn't funny smh
He's like on of the best written and compelling characters, and even if you don't like him you could've easily made that comment without the first part.

As someone who's watched the show from childhood to today, this is one of the few meals that I have enjoyed the most. It is important not just story wise but because I would always try to replicate it anyway I could when I felt down. You have done great as always Alvin!

Its a perfect story beat. It works as wonderful metaphor for how Sanji is feeling, and aaso reminder of what makes the other strawhats special.
Nobody can build up those moments llke Oda can.
I won't lie, when I got to this scene, I started bawling my eyes out. One of Sanji's best scenes.
For a second there I thought Alvin and the crew didn’t realise the meaning behind the food in the bento box so I was really happy when you started listing of the straw hats and their favourites

Just remembering the episode when Sanji brings it to Luffy instead, and Luffy realizes it’s everyone’s favorite foods still brings me to tears. And despite it being all messed up in the anime, he still eats it and enjoys it!
And furtherly brings to mind when Judge calls out to Luffy why he would go so far for Sanji, someone who fed rats, and the lowly and Luffy offers him not even a response. 🥲 One Piece is Beautiful!

I'd love to see him take on the meal he created at the one Navy base... I think it was just after Skypeia? The one where he chastises the kitchen crew about wasting food, and proceeds to make additional (and tasty) dishes from the stuff they were about to toss out.

this dish means so much to me because even away from the crew, even when he claimed he was leaving and that he didnt want luffys help, his heart knew the truth.
My favorite thing about one piece is that if you want to make one of the dishes from there not only is there an officially licensed book of recipes for from the show but usually they show the food so clearly that you can recognize every dish by looking up on Google 😊🤓😍🤩
Okay, now I have _another_ cookbook to add to the collection. Just added the Necronominomnomnom for the Hubby, and still have three other TH-cam cookbooks to get over the next few paydays...
They showed the bento box and it was somewhat of a happy moment, but an hour or so later, Sanji was in tears.

I bet the spaghetti dish in Sanji’s original bento is peperoncino, which is really common in japan. It’s olive oil, chili peppers, garlic and parsley :)

I guess my ONLY nitpick is that it doesn't have 🧭Nami's tangerines🍊 & 🩺Chopper's chocolate🍫 although it's surprisingly understandable as I looked up the image from BOTH manga AND anime, theyr'e ACTUALLY not in the Bento Box even though Sanji🧑🍳 DID prepare them too. It's very strange🤔

A amazing way of cooking the mackeral is letting it sun dry for a day after splitting it in half length wise and then baking it.

I use asian sweet potatoes in my asian curry. The sweetness just goes so well.
The fish was almost definitely Sanma Shioyaki, salted and grilled Pacific Saury. However mackerel is a decent substitute, although more fishy and oily.

Havarti, Muenster & thinly sliced Swiss melts very well and actually have flavor so think beyond American cheese
Sanji is probably the most honorable of the Straw Hat crew. He always offers food to someone who's starving, he refuses to fight women, he never gets his hands dirty, and he is _very_ stylish. Be like Sanji.
