    Are you familiar with the rubbery odor of the rubbers. I can smell them when drinking!:( Any recommendations? (I’ve washed them two times now)

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes indeed, the rubbers will smell over a period of not being washed. So every now and then you should be in a habit of washing the tumbler, and that includes taking off the rubber seals and scrubbing them.
      You can put them in a bowl or pot of hot water and detergent and give them a good scrub, as well as the other parts of the tumbler and let it dry for a few hours.
      Hope that helps!

    It's not the "two walls" that matter, it's how high the vacuum is.

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While the Kinto Travel Tumbler features double walls for insulation, what truly sets it apart is the quality of the vacuum between those walls. The higher the vacuum, the better the heat retention or insulation capability, ensuring your beverages stay at the desired temperature for a longer period. In essence, it's the combination of the double-walled design and the high-quality vacuum that makes the Kinto Travel Tumbler effective in maintaining the temperature of your drinks:)

    Before I bite the bullet, is this the best I can do? I've read and watched so many reviews and own quite a few bottles that don't cut it for coffee (e.g. Klean Kanteen with Cafe Lid leaks; Hydroflask opened in my bag. Both keep coffee hot for only an hour or two). It sounds like the only way to get the heat retention is with a bottle that has a cap that screws off and a drinking device underneath. Annoying for someone like me who doesn't like to juggle parts. I'm usually in coffee deserts in high poverty neighborhoods carrying too much to manage a cap but will do if it's the only way to get the rest. Looking for: ease of use, heat retention (at least 6 hours would be nice), not too heavy, made well, and durable (I see some chips on your Kinto. Maybe the light?). Doesn't leak must be a key feature. Kinto (so sleek for this design freak but willing to forgo for other needs)? Contigo? Yeti? Sigg Flask? Daunted.

      @@PongBautistawill order today! I heard it was fragile but keeps coffee hot. I love my two Kintos (Day Off and Travel Tumblers. Thank you Rushfaster). Yes, you have to open the lid but they are fab at keeping coffee hot for most of the day and you can drink all around. Seems leak-proof. Not good for someone driving, walking but...Curious, Kleen Kanteen and Hydroflask just introduced new one-handers. Off topic: gotta give snaps to Takeya Water bottle (for water). Doesn't leak. Comfortable to drink from. Keeps water cold.

      See Change NYC I’ve been using mine for 2 years. Dropped it so many times because I’m clumsy. Still strong to this very day. And I don’t have to worry about filling it up and putting it inside my bag with my laptop and other gadgets. It comes with a lock mechanism. My use cases when I was looking for a tumbler were: 1. Keeps the temp of my drink for a day. 2. No unscrewing of lid involved when I have to drink because my other hand is holding a phone. 3. I can put inside my bag without worrying about my drink spilling and destroying my stuff and laptop.

    The temperature claims are physically impossible.
    Simply repeating false company claims is not a review, it's a commercial.
    Hot liquid will cool down faster than the cold liquid will warm up, even though both are aiming to reach the same ambient temperature of 20°C.
    While perfect insulation is impossible, the initial temperature differential plays a crucial role in the rate of heat transfer. Here's why:
    Heat transfer rate is proportional to the temperature difference: The larger the temperature difference between the liquid and its surroundings, the faster the heat will transfer.
    Exponential decay: The rate of heat transfer decreases exponentially as the temperature difference gets smaller. This means that in the initial stages, when the temperature difference is significant, the hot liquid will lose heat much faster than the cold liquid gains heat.
    Therefore, even though the final target temperature for both liquids is 20°C, the hot liquid will lose its initial 65°C difference much faster than the cold liquid will gain its 16°C difference.
    Here's an analogy: Imagine two cars traveling towards each other at different speeds. Even though they both aim to reach the same point, the car starting further away will need to cover a larger distance and will initially close the gap much faster than the other car.
    The specific time it takes for each liquid to reach a specific temperature depends on various factors, including:
    Cup's insulation quality: Higher quality insulation slows down heat transfer.
    Liquid volume: Larger volumes take longer to change temperature compared to smaller volumes.
    Starting temperature: The greater the initial difference from the ambient temperature, the longer it takes to reach equilibrium.
    However, regardless of these factors, the hot liquid will always cool down faster than the cold liquid will warm up due to the initial temperature differential and the exponential nature of heat transfer,

    • @RushfasterTV
      @RushfasterTV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your detailed explanation on the heat transfer dynamics and the impact of initial temperature differentials is spot on. It's crucial to consider these factors when evaluating the claims about temperature retention, as real-world conditions can significantly affect the performance of insulated tumblers. Thank you for shedding light on the science behind it:)
