Thank you so much for this video. I've had this car for almost 10 years and have had this problem but never thought to fix it cause it would close after a few tries. Went to training camp and when it was time to leave, I opened the trunk and then I couldn't close it. A stranger assisted with a bungee cord and tied it down for me. Ran to TH-cam and found this video. Went to Amazon and ordered the part. Fixed it in less than 7 mins. Thanks for the help with this video. Also, shoutout to the stranger who helped me at training camp. ❤

Damn i actually like that my trunk pops halfway open when i hit the button. Lol if it wasnt for being a pain in the ass to close I'd probably just leave it

i bought new one to replace it, after i did, it works the opposite, when it the trunk is closed it shows trunk open on the dash, if it is opened it shows closed and ok, also the lamp inside the trunk works only if it is closed.
