Just did this repair on a hero 7 black , unless your experienced at repair work this shouldn't be attempted. The front face is near impossible to get off , a heat gun isn't going to do the job as you will damage the front lcd. You'll need a hot air station and alot of patience, if you can get the front off your golden the rest of repair is easy.
he removed the fron first, then put it back, and makes it look like u can just peel off the front, while its really hard glued, and pain in the ass to pry off
@@yitzyrayman4533 its double component glue, had to destroy the front totally, on ebay u can order new for 10usd, also the front lcd has good chance to be broken cause the the glue is exremely strong, i was using thin pliers too to cut the glue and the dull end of a tweezers , took like 30 mins to get it off, atm i think u cant even order new fron lcd so think abot that before u start the job, 80% chance that the front lcd will be broken
actually i think he had to destroy the front panel too, than he ordered a new faceplate, then pretended for the video that he just removes it easily, how he removes it in the video...its just lifting it off, looks like its not even glued, it looks like the new unglued faceplate...
Non è proprio cosi. Questa telecamera è stata già aperta. Non è così semplice smontarla,è tutta piena di collante abbastanza difficile da rimuovere. Se fai un tutorial , fallo per bene. Ciao.

The original lcd is strong glued and waterproof, you shoud tell the people how to take it off without broke the case..
I wish I saw this comment before ordering a replacement screen, I just can't see how you pop that screen out

Once the lens cover is off , the front cover does in no way come off like you did
