In this video I strip down a GoPro Hero 6 to remove nearly 100g of unnecessary weight. The carbon fiber and TPU printed BetaFPV case holds the motherboard and Lens perfectly. The Included BEC board makes wiring to any drone easy.

Whats With the sdm Card? Can you still Remove it? Or do you Need to disassamble the case again?
on this version and the newer version of this case there is a cutout for the SD card, you won't have to disassemble the case to access it.
What size star key is it, once I've removed front casing?

how you control the setups? full hd, 4k, 120fps,30fps... ?
You can attach the screen with the ribbon cables to the back of the naked gopro or you can access settings via the gopro app. thanks for watching!
Nice video do I need to downgrade the gopro 7 or do you only need to do it with the gopro 6

Do u have a problem with your gp overheating... I have a gp 7 black that overheats and shuts down....
I have not had any issues with overheating, what BEC are you using for your gopro?
does Betafpv bec work on Gopro hero 5?

The stuff that was attached to the screen and the chip was a thermal pad, it's for preventing overheating. I don't know how much heat it actually produces, so may be unnecessary with a betafpv case
EDIT: If someone reassembles the camera into the case they need to purchase a thermal pad (approximately of the same thickness, preferably exact), the case and camera was designed with thermal pad, will probably overheat without it.

@@TRONCATFPV It's weird that I haven't found anyone doing this mod with a lot of teardown experience yet. Your video is very good, as are others, but a video by a person with the experience of doing it tens or hundreds of times doesn't seem to exist (not gopros specifically)
@@TRONCATFPV I recommend Tronicsfix, he runs a business that repairs broken electronics and actually has a video on a few gopros. His videos are pretty approachable and you don't get bored by a 1h long video. His game console repairs are interesting too

I have a stock gp7 black that overheats when plugged by powersource... Is there any fix for this? Or should I just purchased on off brand or older version... Need to be able to record for longest period of time...

Did Exactly where are you showed put one up like the bec into the GoPro all I see is a green light on. No other button functions work. I’m running power from a beta 95 quad that came with a lead for power already installed. Ali’s no wifi connection from phone to GoPro. It did befor taking apart. Any suggestions.
TRONCAT FPV yeah wish I could take a photo of this green led where it should be red. I did try to connect the screen back to the GoPro with success. Changed 5.8 to 2.4. Now when I connect the bec to the board I can’t connect to the go pro and the led stays green. My beta95x v2 has a red black and yellow power cable Which I assume is connected somewhere to the board and that’s what I plug my bec board to. Not sure if it’s the wire from my beta95xv2 that’s bad or what’s the case. I do know the go still works for connecting back to the lcd screen. Any suggestions?

@@jonestown1978 your problem sounds exactly what Im going through. I followed all the instructions to a tee, but for some reason the light is still green. Also I get the no sd card pop up on the app. It doesn't record either, FW is on 1.6, formatted the card (and its the compatible card listed on GoPro). Any help would be great. thx
Al Diaz if you figure anything out or get any info on how to fix it let me know. I have been trying to get in contact with betafpv. They asked me to send a video of the problem and I need to send them a video. I did and never got any response back. I kept sending emails asking if they had any ideas or if they got my video. Nothing so right now I’m stuck with a broken GoPro 7 paper weight.
