      Picked mine up this past Saturday. Best car i've ever owned (most expensive too ). Getting it PPF and tinted right now and can't wait to get it back and put some more miles on it. Extremely capable, already took it up to the canyons, yet the suspension just soaks up everything. Love it more than my bmw m235i with full suspension and stage 1 bm3.

    Yeah a $60,000 fwd 4 cylinder Honda should be car of the year😂... smh.. The TSX awd Type S is a far better value and is cheaper.. No 4 cylinder fwd Honda is worth $60,000.. I would be hard pressed to pay $40k.. When did a sporty Honda hatch turn into a car only the privileged elite can afford?

    • @wingedhussar5528

      @wingedhussar5528 Bro it's literally insane.. let just list a few cars in this price bracket.. Audi RS3, BMW M-series(certain models), Toyota Supra, Nissan Z, AR Quadrafoglio, Porsche Cayman... This doesn't include certain Muscle cars either. Let's also factor that most cars in its class are half the price and some AWD!.. GR Corolla, Hyundai N, Golf R/GTI..

    • @JonHop1
      @JonHop1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mr_triumph First off, why are you defending Honda charging so much for a car fwd 4-cylinder? You REALLY think in todays economy, $52,000 is a fair MSRP on that car? LMAO... But anyway, there isnt 9 for MSRP at your dealer.. I know that for a fact... We deal and communicate with Acura dealers on the entire East Coast.. There is no Type S that a normal person can get for MSRP... You have to be a content creator, or, have connections with the dealer... My Dealer is charging the exact same markup every other dealer on the East coast is charging.. I have no clue why you are defending the exploitation of people and Dealers and Honda taking advantage of people. The car is not worth even $50,000... The car should be high 30's.. That is reasonable price.

I would definitely be giving up a little of the luxury if I sold my 2021, all-wheel-drive Mazda turbo hatchback.. but it does have some sporty looks. Just don’t know if it’s enough to sway me. And only a 5.48 to 60’ and my Mazda I do 5.6 to 60’. So really no big gains there. 🤔

    Me being a long term Honda/Acura guy having owned 2 Civics (2007-2012), 1 Accord (2015), 1 TLX A-Spec (2018) and now an RDX A-Spec (2021), i just find it impossible to accept that Acura has priced their entry level performance car anywhere near $60,000 (with delievery, admin fee's) and now see listing within Ontario for these Type S Integras's for near $70,000!!! I had initially put a deposit on a TLX Type S but after seeing the early performance numbers, decided to not get one and got my RDX instead. Now i'm looking for a 2nd car that is fun to drive. A low mileage 2022 BMW M240i or M340i which have XDrive and nearly 400hp can be had for between $60,000-$65,000 and even new ones start around $70,000. Acura and Honda have lost their minds with prices so the RDX will be my last Acura/Honda product. I'm not the only Honda/Acura customer that feels that way... i have numerous friends and co-workers who feel that Honda/Acura have lost their way and are not producing/pricing competitively against other manufacturers.

      I’m with you. I purchased the ASPEC Integra manual last year (that was a relative cheap date). My dealer, who I have bought two other cars from, knows I’m interested in trading for one of these. However, as I said to him, at this price I might as well move up to an M2. I don’t see much value in it. I have issues transporting my family in it. The passenger seat lacks any height adjustment and my wife complains she is on the floor (It’s supposed to be an Acura - not a Civic DX). My older father almost fell into it and hurt himself and even for me, the car is too light / tinny to be so expensive (not a bad thing at a good price - but it’s not much different than my wife’s late 1997 Honda Civic from when I first met her back in the day). The ELS stereo is ELS light. It’s not nearly as good as their other products. The lack of onboard navigation, while not a big issue, presented a problem for me in Northern Vermont one day with poor cell phone coverage. I think they missed the mark on taking out things like memory seats (available on the cheaper non type s models) and the sunroof (I get it - weight but at the same time they tuned this version for better on road performance). It’s simply not a BMW. Remember, their target demographic is exactly as Mike said. Me. Middle aged, have some disposable money, looking to relive some of our youth, have other vehicles. However, I still buy based on some sort of value. It’s a really tough one now unfortunately. I may be too old for it. I see more value in the S3, and like I said M2 (I can order one at MSRP light on options for only a little over $10K US more). Even the Golf R.
      P.S. Forgot to mention that my mother in law wacked her head on the sloping rear roof getting into the back seat. The vehicle is actually not as functional as a Civic. 😉

    It's hard to imagine this car being compared to a M240i or a AMG A35 or an Audi S3. None of these are manual transmission, none of them will be as reliable long term but yet, the Integra is up there in price. You can definitely bet it close to msrp if not at msrp if you come in with a good credit and a good down payment. Dealers need to sell these cars.

    • @TheBreakfastLover

      On a track, however, the Integra Type S matched the M2 Competition's lap time, let alone an M240i.

    • @DriverBob14
      @DriverBob14 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Canada the M240i is available in 2 door only, an even less comparable option for family duty and dollar for dollar you can only get a 330xi, not the M340 which is an extra $13k in Canuckistan. Like you said, this doesn't even factor in the long term hole in your wallet the German cars will cause and am I the only person to be genuinely glad they didn't put a moonroof?

    I’m not sure if, for a long term goal, I want to save up for this, or go a bit cheaper and snag an Elantra N… The Integra looks better, the hatch is awesome, and I love me my Honda products, but it also doesn’t necessarily come with a heck of a lot of features for a car that’s so expensive… the N also comes with a DCT and while I’ve loved driving stick in my old Accord 6-6, in traffic (which is PLENTIFUL around here.) it REALLY gets old… and I honestly don’t mind the way the N looks, plus a better warranty… tough decision! This is my dream car, but maybe after the mid-cycle improvements or another generation it’ll be more appealing!

      Great choice. I think the 230-M235i models are a compelling alternative at the price point. I just sat in both the type r and type s and it's hard to accept a nearly $60k OTD price. Especially with the interior. The S felt more luxurious but its civic roots shine through.
      My dealer had no markup on the S except for $2k in dealer install accessories, while the Type R had a "flexible" $20k markup. I think a 1 year old used Type S could be a great value. Time will tell.

Sure we have reached 2023 and Yes there are tire repair kits but if the tire is entirely blown out, repair kits won't save you and you are going to rely on towing. Also some States require a spare tire for vehicle inspections. The car is also too low and should be e raised like a Mercedes Benz.
