BMW X5 G05 coding with bimmercode app.
Options in my video for coding was limited as I am still using Vgate adapter, as I didn't use the G series required adapter to code and functionality was limited.
Things Needed:
1. Android or iOS device with bimmercode app
2. bimmercode adapter - bimmercode.app/adapters/

Even with the newest obd2 adapter, the functionality is extremely limited... especially to control the brightness of the headlights and the angel eyes.nothing there. I meant for the G series. GO5 X5

1) Is it okay to unplug the iCar adapter once the coding is done or does it have to be plugged indefinitely if we want to use the new code?
2) Do we have to buy the BimmerCode full version package to see the option to disable the auto/start stop feature?

@aaron - good questions - 1. Unplug when coding is complete and you are exiting the app, don’t leave it plugged in bc it might starry beeping the alarm as it does in most F series if left in and car locked.
2. Yes in order to code you have to buy the full version so either u can buy iOS or android.

Is there options to add more colors to the interior ambient light in the BMW X5G05?

@elite closer - yes via bimmercode you can replace the standard color but not add more colors to the list of choices in idrive

@fiending - yes only for the daytime running light not headlights. You can also keep fog lights on with high beams or have fog lights come on with parking lights

Hi Shezi, how do I disable speed warning which is programmed by BMW India according to Indian norms. Moment you cross 120 KmpH gong goes of constantly till you go below 120, it can not be deactivated via Idrive.mine's G05 2020.

@madhukar reddy iska - can u check again to ensure there isn’t a way to uncheck in idrive menu. If not you should be able to do it via BimmerCode app..

@@mr3ddy9 that’s speed limiter you’re going to need an ecu tune for that. I would suggest jb4 or u less you’re familiar with a tuner

Will using this app void my warranty? Secondly if I make a change and reset it before giving it back to the dealer for service, will they be able to see that I have made a change ?

@aahan sachdev - anytime you code or modify the car, there is possibility of terminating the warranty. As long as u are careful coding, it should not effect anything with warranty. But do the coding at ur own risk.

@@SheziMotorsport Thanks for clarifying. If I make a change to a warning sound and then reactivate it before I send it to my dealer for service/ repair, would they still be able to tell a change has been made in the past? Just want to be as sure as I can before making any changes.

@aahan sachdev - short answer yes. Bc anytime you code or so anything in the car as small as open the door it's logged.
To help put ur mind at ease, all the coding I had done I had never reverted back before car went in and it was under warranty. Unless u code and fry one of the computers or brick anything ur warranty will be intact. Just code one piece at a time.

tried to code my 2022 x5 m sport xdrive 40i today. everything worked but, I did not see the front electronic module and rear electronic module options. its not like they were there and I couldn't go in them, they were completely missing from the list. can anyone help? thanks
