Thanks for posting this. It was very useful. I was able to do it in my 2019 X7 in less than 5 minutes with the cheaper OBDLINK CX adapter. I can’t believe my dealer told me that I needed a hardware upgrade plus coding to get it.
Most dealerships have no clue what these cars are capable of from my personal experience even the bmw genius guys are always behind with the tech, i would do better if they hired me and code all there cars and give their customer 200 percent customer satisfaction😀
It did not show up on thr instrument cluster because my x7 did not have thr button on steering wheel to activate it, i had check the option “Display Assisted Driving View when
Driver Assistance is active” on the central screen monitor, so please tell me what other option to activate it

Thanks so much, works in my 2019 M850i with an OBDLINK CX adapter. Just need to then go into the Idrive Driver assistance setting and enable to instrument cluster view

Did you not opt for assisted driving package and then enabled this on your g20? How about the assisted driving button on the steering wheel?

X5 G05. I do not have the assisting drive button on my wheel, but i do have a radar in my bumper. Can i activate assisted drive mode and/or active cruise control? How? I do have the possibility to buy in the bmw app (just software) so i assume it can be done with only coding?
Good video a quick note first when you bring it in for service leave the feature on , but personally put it out of alpha a back into regular display, the bonus is they will activate automatically the traffic assist if you complain about auto hold not working all the time and traffic assist is the best of all the options I’m sure there is a way to code your self but I couldn’t find it but they turned it on.
Secondly about a year or so the display stoped working the box was still checked but you are unable to get into it on or off so I went back in and did a back up and waalaa it all came back on. So incase you loose the screen wile driving as I did first the steering wheels wouldn’t light up then a few minutes later the center display just went off . Hopefully returning the favor for your video! Stay safe!

I'm using a Vgate ICar Pro and can't see these options also does not allow me to search. Beamer code says I may be restricted by the dongal. Has anyone seen this?? If so whats the best dongal (I'm in the uk) 2019 G05 M50d with Driver Assistance and I have full version of beamer code

Does not work at any cars without BMW driver assistance professional. Just simply look at your wheel. If it does not have lights on the left and right parts (check 4:30) you don`t have this system installed into your car. P.S. You may tune your car and buy this assistance even if you don`t have: here what you need to buy and to install/change: new live cockpit monitor, new wheel with touchsensor and buttons, new videos sensor behind saloon mirror, new sensor and plastic cover under the front bumper, new windshield, left and right + front and back radars (not parktronic!), of course some wires, device unit and..... you have to buy codes (at least 2000 EUR) Overall it cost around 10K Euro to fit into your G05. You sure you still need that? :))))

@@mikepersidsky when i build my bmw, i see the option named Driving assistance Profesional package cost $1700. It includes Active driving assistant pro and Extended traffic jam assistant for limit access highway
@@duymariochannel3885 yeap bro. But we are talking about car we already bought. Sure, when you buy a car at dealer, you may order such options. My car, does not have any assistance factory installed. But i paid around 1200 usd at my country and installed drive assistance. I wish to have assistance pro. It is possible, but needs to have a lots of changes and will cost much for me...
I made these changes on my 2021 X3 30e with DAPro, US, and it added the settings option to turn on the Driver Assist View to the instruments display so I thought I was good to go, but when activated the center screen is blank, no Assist View. Any ideas? Is the new X3 missing required hardware, even when fully optioned out?
That happened to me once i think it jammed or a bug, i turned it off coded it then coded it back on again. Works perfect after.

@@gskfarmsgh5907 i use obd link mx+ and bimmercode app, its better than carly as it has expert mode to make extra and other changes to your vehicle

Restore it and try coding it again, should work if all coded correctly.
if the same issue occurs then the car proably doesnt have the feature. But code again and make sure all codes are done correctly. Turn off car and also reset idrive by holding the volume button for 15 seconds until the idrive screen resets Good luck

Its just about viewing in center of cluster so its 2020 modell f90 m5 with idrive 7

I just coded mine and it’s working, BUT I’m getting an error saying to enter date and time now. Any idea?
Yes thats normal just go to settings and re enter it or unclick and click on set auto time date it will go back to normal

It technically does but make a backup and before you take your car to service and code your original backup and when you get your car back, use your modified backup
Confirmed that this only provides the assisted driving view and not the automatic lane change. You will need to tweak 3 more items to enable automatic lane change. It’s a great start nonetheless. Thanks @Ryan Bakz!

It’s not for F - Series. You don’t even have digital tacho, or am I wrong?

Will this work on any G05 as they already have the built in radar, surround cameras and lane assistance. I don’t have the driving assistance button mind.
You have to get this feature.
It depends where you live. In Germany it should be enabled, in USA sold BMW‘s it’s disabled
