37:45 what an epic scene! That is dream fishing right there. Watching these videos have fully convinced me to take the train to Eastbourne and do some fishing
Yes, you never know what might happen when you're out Stefan - you have to be there to experience it. Its not always about the catching, but that helps of course! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just returned from holiday and what's the first thing I do? Watch one of your two, new videos of course! And what's even better is the fact that there's another one waiting for me. Two nice sessions and an epic video. Many thanks for sharing. Cheers. Ken
Another great watch, could you do a beginners guide to leads I notice you not using grip wire leads you mention roving the baits I’m still learning but would be great to hear your views as when to and not to use certain rigs in different conditions . Please keep the vids coming fantastic.
Will do Lee at some point - still don't think I've covered a large enough range of sea fishing scenarios to produce general guides to rigs, leads and tactics etc. This will come in time, but at the moment I'll try to mention why I use specific gear and the approach at the specific venues I'm currently fishing. Thanks for watching and your support.
Caught my smallest ever Bass yesterday. On a stinger rig that had put out due to the lots of small knocks and 2" whiting that I knew were about. Sadly, no larger Bass came along to scoff the lot.
Thanks Andy - these rods cast well without putting in much effort. By at distance, I'm meaning 100m or more - but that's guess work depending on conditions. When I first cast with one, it was in a field behind where the Colmic rep was fishing - a 130g Turkana bomb went 148 steps using 25lb mono on my reel and I didn't put any effort in to that either.
@@rodsangleuk6283 thank you for you reply Rod that's very helpful. I just read your reply to another watcher about filming you put a lot of work into filming and editing and still find time to catch fish lol, I will only watch your videos as the effort and the way you explain thing helps me and sure many others catch fish or gets them out to the beach. Thanks Rod. 👍🏾
Nice video cobber do u know Jason the Eastbourne angler how about u and him team up and have fishing comp ? Should b interesting. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
I'm not sure Mark - locals will know. Probably need to be fishing with either mackerel strips or sand eel close in to find out - not something I normally do. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks Terry - quite a lot of Colmic sea fishing gear passes through Christchurch Angling Centre - you could contact them and they may be able to get one through a rep.
Thanks Gavin - I wouldn't try them in the open sea, but higher up in estuaries, I expect they would work. When I venture upstream of Barking on the Thames, I'll give them a go.
Hi, Have been following you on here for a while now. Can I ask you , What is the name. make and model of the rod rest you are using please. and where I might be able to purchase said rod rest . Many thanks
Good question Pat. Normally I would use a dedicated sole rig for targeting the species, with size 3 Nordic bend hooks (which are fine wire) - here I caught them on my plaice set up with size 2 or size 4 Aberdeens. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I have been watching your video with great interest. I have one question. What camera are you using? I am greatly impressed with the quality of video and sound that make your video so interesting to watch. I support anglers with learning disabilities to engage and enjoy all forms of angling. I have been asked if I can make short video of their day so they have a record to show family and friends. I have been showing your videos to the people I support and we are using them to plan our winter visits around the Kent and Sussex coat. Thank you from all of us.
Hi Jim and thanks for your interest. I use a range of action cameras and a Canon G7X. For filming others and for ease of editing, you can't go wrong with a GoPro - the image stabalisation and colour accuracy, together with great autofocus and timelapse capability and having the ability to pair up with external mics makes it a winner. Good luck and all the best.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Hi Rod. Thank you for the information. I look forward to your next video. I will be going back over your earlier video's to look at camera angles and positioning. Many thanks, stay safe and stay well.
Another great vid from the master of beach fishing. I learn a bit more with every production. Thanks Rod.
Glad to be of help John and thanks for watching.

Hi Rod excellent video master craftsmen and scenery was amazing well done mate thanks
Many thanks fir that👍
Thanks for the video Rod looks a nice place to fish.Never thought much about lead choice other than to hold bottom interesting.
Thanks Gary 👍. Lead choice can make a difference, as does the size of it - conditions and chosen method dictate.
Great video as always Rod, love the rod's look nice to cast. Thanks for uploading. Kind regards Mike. Norfolk. 🐟🐟
Thanks Mike 👍

Yes Andy - there's always plenty to see whilst fishing. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Tornada looked like a water spout 🙈 love Dover Soles especially the 2lb+ fish
I agree Neil - I've had a few 2lb+ soles and they are by far my favourite fish.

Well done my friend
Thank you kindly Peter.
Nice videos , Thank you
Glad you like them! I appreciate your comment @jimmark2010.,
Just love this video expecially the 28,8,20,, question what do you call sort range and distance as you don't seem to cast the rods hard 👌🏾
Thanks Andy - these rods cast well without putting in much effort. By at distance, I'm meaning 100m or more - but that's guess work depending on conditions. Nice one Mick, I am after a new red tip for my Colmic Arcadia any ideas?
Thanks Terry - quite a lot of Colmic sea fishing gear passes through Christchurch Angling Centre - you could contact them and they may be able to get one through a rep.
Im a huge fan of your videos loved it as always quick question would earthworms work for flatties please thanks

Thanks John - Leeda Icon - they come in various sizes.
enjoy fishing....great...👍
Thanks Ardin roy 👍
Another great upload Rod...How you finding the new rods?
With the splice tips you can see the bites really easy.
Thanks @gazellis1961. Yes, the tips sit well in the tide and show up everything. The 07s cast further than my Grauvells, so are a good buy.
Are you using size 4 hooks for the sole?
Good question Pat. Normally I would use a dedicated sole rig for targeting the species, with size 3 Nordic bend hooks (which are fine wire) - here I caught them on my plaice set up with size 2 or size 4 Aberdeens. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Rod what reels do you use? great video like always.
Mostly Penn Affinity 7000s - though I have quite a few other reels. Thanks for watching Jay.
